@AllInDrummer I don't think it's the angle that's a difference. I think it's the ability to sustain the drift as the AWD will want it to end as quick as possible regaining traction. I'm pretty sure the AWD can get to tighter angles than a RWD car without spinning out. It's just the duration of the drift really but i'm not sure.

@57swifty75 Yes, the judges score by clipping points. On each major turn there is a "clipping" point, the point where the cars should be closest to. They judge off speed, angle, style, etc. Basically, who ever did the best out of the two wins.

You can put a turbo on a tc and I'm sure a stage 2 WRX especially STi would smoke it anyway. I just watched a video of a 2009 stage 2 WRX do 0-60 in 4.08 seconds. The new GT-R does it in 3.8.....

I have no proof, but if he had maybe 375-400 to the wheels (another $2000 tops) then it would MAYBE be capable of doing 0-60 in 2.9 . I love my WRX!

i think the cars americans use for d1gp are like very high hp, and the ones in japan have minimum tune but more on suspension. because i remember a video of tsuchiya saying the drift mustang has soo much power, you didnt need to e-brake or even floor the engine all the way to enter a drift. and japan doesn't do a whole lot into racing engines(like that scion has a nascar engine), mainly engines from showrooms like skyline, silvia, supra engines and stuff
