when i am pikachu in this stage what i do is get away to a low part and use thunder on them while thy are on top

People won't like you very much for using tactics like these simply because it gets very annoying when someone uses the same move over and over. People put up with it in Marvel vs. Capcom 2, but they won't do it for SSBB.

just a note, but thunder can go through the ground in this stage. just look at various brawl glitch compilations and you'll see it. It's not that hard to accomplish anyways.

You should practice on Meta Knight, hes a pretty easy character to use.

From what I hear, he isn't so easy in that his fighting style is extreme. If you mean specifically Meta Knight, I would say that I do need practice with him, as the randomizer doesn't pick him often.

The randomizer picked Mr. Game and Watch for me alot, I noticed. It looked like I was him for at least a fourth of the matches we had. I was really unprepared for Meta knight, running away even turned against me.

It wasn't done on purpose? I saw you used the light blue Mr. Game & Watch a lot, so I thought it was compeltely intentional.

Yeah, one thing about Meta Knight is that it's hard to escape him. His attacks have good range, and they cancel out attacks other people might do to him.

Online Players overuse Thunder and COMs overuse Down Smash. Life's not fair. Especially with PIKACHU around.

Brinstar is the least used stage in smash bros, from what I've seen.

First 2 matches were pretty good, I don't know either character all that well, but you did good with both of them.

You have to have a fair bit of knowledge to turn MK into his broken self, especially when going for KOs. MK is one of the fastest but fairly weak (knockback wise) outside his specific KO moves(Up B, D/F-smash, N-air).

Oyf, Skyworld with Peach. Not to bad though. Hard to land crown slaps isn't it? Peach is one of the harder to learn characters to be sure. Coulda used more float.

Figured as much. I also figured Meta Knight's potency must be greatly reduced online, as he seems to be about doing everything quickly.

I keep pressing the wrong button to float Peach. I end up pressing the shield button by mistake and sidestepping. I tell you, I'm just not used to using the jump button from the ground while holding down on the stick. (Where did this term "spot dodging" come from? "Sidestepping" was used in SSBM, both in-game and in the manual.)

I've just always called it spot dodging so its a force of habit I guess, "Dodging" on the "spot".

Meta can still be a beast online, but you have to use him smarter than you would say Ike. Because his kill moves can be spammed, MK is still a beast, but is much harder to play online.

Haha, yeah, it takes some getting use to. Peach is just as hard to learn as Metaknight is probably, but with a lot less payout.

I see the phrase "spot dodging" a lot, and it seems to be the exact same as sidestepping. The game calls it sidestepping, so I have to wonder how "spot dodging" became more used among fans.

I use the in-game terms wherever I can. I read the manual of every game I play.

I'm one of those few that seam to read the manual as well, actually. And I'm usually one to use manual terms as well. Spot dodging just comes to mind more readily than sidestepping, but I guess I should get out of that habit.

A lot of people have seen that video as well since "You Must Recover!" has become something of a Smash meme.

It may come from the fact that I didn't learn how to sidestep from the game or the manual, but by hanging around the smash boards.

You're probably right; sidestepping looks like something to be learned later. In fact, I reember I talked about it before with some classmates who played Melee and they didn't believe me that it exists in the game.
