  • Great skills... ive seen this type of maneuvers go wrong

  • see ya

  • It would have been easier if it was a Boeing....in that situation a yoke would be easier to use then a side srick...

    great invention airbus..you suck.

  • Of course, a north american talking.

  • lol, are you from Europe?

  • Yes i am : o )

  • lol, I think we all defend our country manufacturers..lol

  • In my case, my continent manufacturers

    : o )

  • oh :o

  • As you know Europe is a continent with many countries. Mine is one of them.

  • yup, here in the states we belong to north america as you said earlier. :)

  • Yes. A nice country. Loved to visit MA and CA.

  • really...I live in the us and never have visited either place lol.

  • hehehehe

    What's your state?

  • illinois

  • crosswind 'landing'?

  • q miedo

  • Scary !

  • wow that's kinda of scary if a simple hgih wind speed can easier take control of the plane like that.

  • Esse vídewo é bom!!

  • those crosswinds can be a bitch

  • go around should have been started much earlier. look how close the right wheel is to touching down as he starts his climb. very unstable approach. (i realzie the winds were very high) but he should have started the go around proceedure much earlier

  • well they probbly added power a while ago but it take the engines 5 seconds to spool up and onther 3 to to 5 seconds to go to full power. If you would go and pour all that fuel in their there would be a "flameout"

  • We spend 2h25m in the air, we had to return back to Faro. A normal flight is about 30 minute,Faro-lisbon. The wind was so hight that in the first attempt the wheels touched down very hard for 3 times and we take off.

This video is from the second attempt.

The pilot want to try the third land but we didn´t let them.

Yes, inside the plane we know whats going on,people crying, I thought I die and close my eyes, but here I´m.

  • жесть

  • where the landing part...

  • Definitely a smart move to miss that approach. That would've been the landing gear on such a heavy crosswind. At the same time the pilots corrections werent very professional.

  • Smart move on the pilots part anymore and he'd be taking the slide off the plane.

  • if you were on that plane then you would quickly find out which colour fear is!

  • brown trousers time !!!!

  • Nice crosswind GA

  • nice choice to go missed!!!!

  • excellent filming and excellent piloting...

  • plus scared passengers

  • Fucking A... that has got the one hell of a pilot man... I mean, DAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!

  • Another demonstration of TAP pilots skills... nice! A32x series also has the particular thing that below 50 ft altitude, the fbw system increases the control of the pilot. He has to be fine at the controls!

  • I've been in a plane landing with 40 kts crosswinds, it's pretty fun actually...

  • i want to be in that plane just to feel how it feels i know it sound stupidXD but i want to be a pilot and want to feel the feeling

  • ما عندك أحد العبيط عبيط

  • um yea try posting in a language every speaks in like english

  • if i was on that flight id be like screw this next time im takin the bus!!

  • Next time mount trolly wheels under your plane, easier to land side ways!(LOL)

  • LOL

  • he rocks!!!!!

  • what a crab-walk! didn't even land!

  • a pilot knows when 2 land on a crosswind and he was 2 fast on the approach.

  • TAP means Take Another Plane!!

  • Well... but with only one fatal accident over more then 60 years of opperating! I´ll take another plane if i went on AA or UAL...

  • Buf si voy yo en ese avión me voy por la patilla fijo

  • wo wow wow

  • Wow almost crashed baad

  • i did 50 mph crosswind with a 152, simply flew 90 degrees to the runway then set it down without any roll!!!

  • That's ok if you have a steady 50mph xwind, nice work if safety is not your priority, but I wonder what the area around the rwy was like? any buildings causing local turbulence? And what about you taxiing the a/c back to the ramp, how did u control that? Especially if you had to turn the 152 into or away fm the wind passing thru 90 deg. to the wind. You cannot deflect any wind with all those keel surfaces affecting your aircraft... You sound dangerous and I would not fly with you.

  • I bet the cabin didn't smell too good after that.. 160 soiled underwear in such a confined space. The pilot had pretty much no choice but to abort, he was way past the threshhold by the time the aircraft became stable.

  • I was in the cabine I can assure it did smell like "roses".The pilot was cool as cucumber.just another day at the office

  • That's a brave man!

  • I'd overshoot too, It's good training.

  • A jet in front of us reported to tower windshear "plus and minus 17 knots." I did one fast, low, approach to feel it out before making my actual landing, but i was pretty nervous.

  • Yea microbursts and windshear is very dangerous. I have about 200 hours in Piper Warriors and 15 or so in Cessna 152s. I only logged 1 hour dual with my instructor before going solo with my sister in right seat in the 152 (as a 152 is alot smaller

+ easier to fly than a piper) We got in the air and I was going to practice some landings.

  • wow - that made me sweat watchin' it.

  • la kago, esa wea me hubiera meao si hubeira seguido asi, menos mal que el piloto salvo la situacion

  • Oh wow, I've been into Funchal quite a few times. The passengers always clap once they're down!

  • I know and it really pisses me off, it's not that difficult!

  • I was in the wings seats. A normal trip Faro-Lisbon takes 30 minutes,I was 2h30m in that plane and i go exactly the same place i started.

  • Exact same thing happened to me landing at night in a storm at Funchal, Madeira about three years ago. The pilot made two attempts then went and landed on Porto Santo a few miles away. That was pretty scary. TAP too!

  • The pilots of TAP are very good, i lost the connection to Madeira because we could not land,it is pretty scary

  • It's obvious from the engine spool-up at the end of the video that he initiated a go around.

  • ummm, miss, could i get an air sick bag

  • THAT IS SO DANGEROUS :0

  • I've read about this one. He hit a microburst right before touchdown -- you can see the airplane dip and start slipping even more sideways.

  • Lol, that was one drunken pilot.

  • moron, ever heard of crosswind?

  • me recago si hubiese estado al lado del ala...

  • jajaja quien no?

  • So what happened? Did the plane land ok or rise again at that point, circle and try again?

  • At the end it looked like he pitched up, I'd imagine he went around and tried again.

  • No he didn´t try a third time, because we passengers didn´t let them try

  • I read somewhere that this particular landing was attempted to avoid a major storm.

  • alotta people seem to wana shit themselves lol

  • ooops!

  • lol!, nice try!

  • Amazing

  • i would have shit myself watching it on the ground let alone being in the plane itself

  • It was a crosswond landing your supposed to come in like that But the crosswinds must have been UBER He looked fine until he tried to straighten out the crosswind almost got him xD

  • f***in hell my pants would have been filled...imagine looking out of the window to find that your goin sideways

  • that must be at or near the extreme limits of cross-wind velocity. he was coming in fine using rudder correction. he tried to straighten out for touchdown and crosswind started grabbing his wing. go around.

  • This is when the pilot says "going around". lol damn

  • I would have shat myself.

  • Almost shihe myself

  • LOL a little nervous with the alierons!!!
