I have never had a set of the electric pipes that has been worth a darn, either they sounded like crud, or they would wear out fast. I suggest a set of mouthblown border pipes from Piper's Choice. They run about $700.00 and they sound like the highland pipes, but about 60% of the volume and only 1/3 of the work
