I just realized. BubbleMan is following the same tactic you used to deal with his Robot Master counterpart. "The best way to deal with this guy is to keep your distance." Thus, his constant retreating.
I need some help with styles. This is my first playthrough and got a style I didn't actually want in the first battle against the Bubble Brigade (WoodGuts). How can I change this style? I've battled for a while and nothing yet. Thanks in advance.
@CoisoChocobo The number of battles you need to fight in order to learn a new style depends on the style your currently using. For guts style its somewhere in the range of 225. To get the style you want make sure to only bust viruses while favoring the tactics that give points towards unlocking that particular style. For a more detailed breakdown on stylechanges, check out gamefaqs. And don't forget to select learn new style when the game prompts you.
@twilightiger Thanks for the help! The fact that I've been battling without any results may be because I still didn't "change" days. Yay, distractions. I also thought the style changes were a major event that only happened 1~2 times throughout the story, so I kinda panicked. XD
@twilightiger would you also mind telling me what the water and wood ones do? I know they are "secret" but do you know what the guts and shield ones do as well?
@JeffGC64 Water Style shoots out a bubbler that damages two panels for 40 damage. Wood fires a twister that hits the second panel in front of you for 10 damage 8 times. It also has a slight stun affect. Guts teaches hyper armor which eliminates flinching, break charge which cracks panels, and break buster. It also passively doubles the megabusters attack power and mashing B turns it into the machine buster. Shield grants a barrier at the beginning of battle and teaches block, shield, and reflect
A good early game trick for Bubbleman is to place a stonecube right in front of the bubble hole. That way, the bubbles can't pass through, unless if you move up or down.
Oh man, I wonder how you are going to deal with the post-game stuff. Those areas are lethal. For some reason, the final area has this feel to it that reminds me of the Master stages in Super Monkey Ball...
(The lives of thousands? Not that he doesn't have a point, but Chaud needs to learn how to count....)
Hmmm...the BubbleMan fight looked more annoying than I thought it would with the design of his AI and those bubbles. Yet, at the same time, it looked kinda fun unlike the BeastMan fights, at least as long as you're not HeatStyle. That might be masochism speaking.
Going to get LavaStage from the BugFrag trader? You're only 13 away. Also, I'd say if any element gets screwed over, it's Aqua.
Hey Roahm, there is an easy way to deal with his bubble wrap in the first fight. Since elec attacks can pierce it and he only brings it out at 100 HP, Flash Man is still an instant win button. :)
Actually, you can hurt Bubbleman AND destroy the boulder at the same time with the Metalman chip. Just move Metalman to the same panel as the boulder.
Another day have come to a close. But the W W W seems to be getting more vicious. Not only they're gunning for Lan and MegaMan, they're now involving innocent bystanders in their vengeful plot! Clearly they're becoming a deadly threat that must be dealt with immediately! What will tomorrow bring? What new danger awaits our favorite NetBattler?
@cutman15 If there were another day of backtracking (I don't know, I haven't played these games) it would be Sandstorm, as the first was Rock Climbing. And so the cycle of Deep Hurting continues.
11:30: The Stand Out Chip, If I believe since I didn't get the element for it yet, (Yes I'm still jealous. XD) is basically a fast, uncontrollable fire tower that makes a beeline to the closest hole on the battlefield, be it from your field or the enemy field.
Yeah... It takes a lot of setting up in order to use this chip effectively, but it's powerful. Of course there is even a more powerful version of that chip that you can also get right now too. XD
And now for the annoyance of grinding for BubbleMan V3 Chips (Well not now, but in the future at some point)... Man, I think he must be the most annoying because of the situation to even find him, but at least BodyGuard wrecks every Navi in this game
@RoahmMythril By the way, if you have yet to beat Battle Network 3 prior to making this series of videos...you will LOVE the Post Game story. It's great and introduces a brand new character into the story; much like Bass. Im not going to spoil much if you haven't been there yet, but I promise you'll enjoy it! I wouldn't mind getting back into the series as well, so if your looking to have someone join you in the lets play series, feel free to let me know and i'd be happy to join in:)
@RoahmMythril Hey Roahm what do you mean "if you know where bubbleman is you can just skip to him"? ( I know I will need to get the shrink item first) but does that mean i can jack out and go to a short cut or find a shortcut on the Net?
Grinding Bubbleman V3 is actually really easy if you build a folder for it. IceStage *, Flashman F, Plasma F, Area Steal* you can do it in 3ish seconds.
One of the things that makes BubbleMan even more annoying is how you have to fight his Beta form. You need to be in Critical Health just to encounter him.
I still like Elec styles. While the charge shot is weak and takes a while to charge, I find it very useful for buying a bit of time and setting up enemies for combos and chips which are hard to hit with.
Argh, BubbleMan. So annoying, and having only melee chips doesn't help either. I'm also trying to get a WoodBug Style, so I can use Gaia Sword and Gaia Blade.
@Lukaz2009 The bubbles that are constantly spawned are actually useful for anti-damage, it let's you deal 300 damage to BubbleMan, because the bubbles are stage objects.
hey I don't know if this still works, but when the cannons lock on to me, even when I move forward they miss, getting the counter hits from them really easy.
Elec gets no field bonuses... Yet the main element to showcase Ground style in artwork IS elec. Metal stage could have made elec chips AoE or deal double damage, but no, it had to be ice panels that make elec damage double. I suppose a combo of set holy and set ice might make things interesting though.
@Showmetotheexit They save money to make. They're fairly easy to be created. And they can be easily made unique by giving them effects. While they lack creativity, they work.
If there is a hole anywhere to the right on the row you are standing on, Standout/Salamander (the stronger version of Standout IIRC) will send a burst of fire to that hole. I think it looks a lot like the fire those Candle viruses use in other games, but I haven't used it in a long time so I can't be sure. Dunno if it works with missing panels, but I'm guessing it does.
Elec styles arent that bad. Icestage plus with the cheat of input in the navicust for a extra bonus namely Floatshoes and Elec style can wreak havoc on anything with Elec power. Here the code for that. You must not get any Error for it to work. PEOTIR2G the 2 is the symbol in the navicust.
@za909 IIRC, the second level appear within the tanks and Alpha's comp (however that one doesn't work for getting the chip). The third level I believe appear in secret area or deep in the undernet.
I find the slimers to be quite an interesting virus. Because of where they show up they seem to be related to alpha. So are they the result of alpha viri being attack by other viri? The most interesting part is, they still attack by physical contact and altering panels, just like Alpha and His viri.
stand out is sort of like geyser from the second battle network.....
I think........

By the way, is there any chance you might show what Bubble Man does at low health in a rematch, or would that be too annoying to deal with?
