I just wanted to say the every time i hear this rendition of Sukiyaki it brings tears to my eyes the way that Kyu Sakamoto died in that tragic plane crash and how they were up in the air for over thirty minutes knowing that the plane would go down any minute. Sad, sad story.....over three hundred people Parish on that day

@JAFKennedy I am so glad after 47 years to finally find the song in my language. I all ways wanted to know what he was saying & Its even more beautiful then I could have imagined . I had no Idea it was such a sad song. But I love it now even more then before. If only He could have sung it in English. But sadly that was not to be. I have been listening to all most every version I can find. I hope this song It finds its way some day into every language & every genre !
