looks fun but lets see this game for what it is ...... more brainwashing propaganda for the kids to accept going to war to steal other countries resources.
Macs are built to run software that is made for macs from the start, and mac software is made for macs only, thats just the apple way of life. This is why macs run so smoothly and only fail at running software not made for macs, its also why you rarely get viruses on them.
A really basic RTS game. I played it and like it at beginning but it lacks of gameplay deepness. I know this is kind of a demo for their engine but the game models are extremely low poly and textures really low res, I thought they would do something near their benchmarks's graphics.
You can get a cross plattform (mac, linux, pc) version at the official website without being forced to use DRM. If you want a Steam version: You get also a Steam key from them
Mac is a casual platform for casual people who want casual pick-up-and-play experiences. There's no hardcore, or even intermediate market on the platform, and since almost any mac can dual-boot windows anyway, there's almost no reason to port to it.
Linux gets a port because the game was probably developed from linux to begin with, and is very easy to develop/compile for, with no license overhead.
@alkafrazin hmm, I disagree. I have a Mac and yes, a dual-boot to windows too. But I'd like it better to just have games in mac. Also, there are a lot gamers who don't know how to install things like BOOTCAMP, but still buy and play "hardcore" games.
Also, sure there's market for games in Mac. Think about the Steam Cloud; they converted a ton of games on their gaming platform to mac. Also, someone replied to me that this was an old trailer and there now is a version for Mac OSX 10.7+, so yeah..
@rubnaus A handful of people isn't a market. And when you consider that building a gaming PC is much cheaper and more effective for videogame playing, it just doesn't make sense to expand it.
Macs are built for people who don't want to play games.
@alkafrazin Yes but is that market really smaller than the Linux users who play games?
Just because OSX has a more friendly layout, doesn't mean only old people use it. It's getting more and more popular to make/convert games to mac. Sure, old games many times aren't for mac (too), but that's just because Windows was more popular back then.
But you're right: right now, most games are for windows only, but I really think (and hope) in the future they will be made for OSX too.
@rubnaus Windows is still more popular, especially around PC builders, who are often the ones playing games on PC to begin with. After all, why buy an overpriced console when you can get all the parts, cheap?
Linux probably does have a larger gamer userbase than Mac, and is infinitely easier to support, especially since everything needed to port to the platform is free, open source, and made to be used by any and everyone. Not only is there a larger market, but it's cheaper to port to.
Nice ! Beatiful ! I MUST HAVE IT TOO !!!!! But, i home there is more factions... If 2 NEVER MIND - but to have at least a little bit different equipment ... The basis same, but better different units... Its look great !!! It reminds me Tom Clancy's End War or Fuel War... Do it finally complete!
OH I GET IT! so the game starts like.. this.. youre a high rank cia guy.. goerge bush says its time to steal iraqs oil.. so you have to make up lies and stuff about 9/11 and invading the country for terrorists. So once you finish that part of the game you have to play as one of the guys in the jets.. so you have to bomb and kill as many civilians as you can before you reach that oil
@Nyocurio How in the world could you "Accidentally" click on Dislike while trying to Pause!? Theres like a huge gap there, plus the LIKE Button is bigger and clearly is closer to the Pause button.
@gerickjohn2142 um.. that's why it happens once in a thousand times. When I pause I usually click anywhere on the screen, and I think I clicked the screen above the dislike button while accidentally scrolling down, thus landing on the thumbs down button (why the hell am I even explaining this.....)
We need ALL THE OIL!

WHAT? Windows and Linux? Where's Mac? I mean, there are more Mac users than Linux users, right?
rubnaus 1 month ago
@rubnaus ...hi, this trailer is very old - Mac OS X 10.7+ (Lion) is required too
makisave 1 month ago
@rubnaus But less Mac users that want real games.
