  • Seeing how their is no floor in this tent. if one could add leaves for a bedding. and then leave a door open and build a dakota stove in it.for some heat

  • every american should own one of these

  • it looks waay too heavy for just tent.

  • You can`t even focus whit you camera

  • Hey, I am working on a 1/10 scale army landrover defender. I want to make a pup tent also. Can you give me the sizes of the tent? How long is the tent and what is the height?

  • the funny coloration is due to sunshine/ light exposure, the dark olive green faded. mine (from 1956) came folded into the size of two letter sheets and what used to be on top is now a nice rectangular spot on one side :-) it will even out with time.

i do not use my tent anymore, its just too much weight for a single person. poncho-tarp ftw!

  • nice job i subbed by the way could i get one of thous at a army surplus store

  • Pleaseeeee Show Me How You Put IT Up. i Got One For Camping From The Army Reservation. And i Have Nooooo idea How To Put iT Up Soo PLEASE !

  • Sand bags are another way of stopping water of bugs getting in, but it also helps with incoming lol

  • Man I want one of those...

  • eBay new in unopened package (2) shelter

half kits (makes one pup tent) $26 free shipping.

  • no worries man, pretty damn good job for a first timer :)

  • hey man, use a guyrope to get rid of that dip in the middle: attach them to each end of the tent and pull, then stake the guyrope into the ground.

  • @s0upage there are guideropes, but it was like my first time putting it up, so it want that great

  • if anyone is looking for one of those shelters check coleman's military surplus they have there like 30 bucks if you get an unused one.

  • does the door snap together to keep out varmints?

  • Trust me bugs will always get in, especially if it's not completly closed off.

  • Not US Vietnam Tent.

    It is called Shelter Halve.

  • @FishEaster no, each half is a shelter half, together they are a pup tent, which is in the video

  • @TheShopRatsGear - I am older than you 2 boys and was in the USMC when you boys were still not here on earth.

  • @FishEaster theres only one of me, my brother just helps with the guns, and its definitely a pup tent when you have both of them together, shelter half is singular, there are two there, so its a pup tent, a shelter half would only be one of the halves put up on its own

  • in snowy climates I pile the snow partway up all around the tent, except in the front where i make a snow wall on either side about three feet out.The snow insulates the tent and keeps it warm like an igloo of sorts. The good thing about this old standby is you can use it to make a lean to as well.

  • nice tent

  • you can stop the slope by using another rope straight out from the entrance and one straight from the back, staked and tensioned.

  • for this kind of tent it come with 6 poles 3 on each side of the tent but if you put 2 on each side it make the tent a little bit bigger on the side

  • i rerun my guy lines to fit under the edge of the tent after i set it up

  • nice man!!
