@Zeloim23 idk man, i LOVE death metal but i think you should check out Vuvr - Pilgrmage album, such gem in overall music in my opinion, reply back or message me when you check it out, don't get me wrong every album by Nile is amazing work but just check that out if you don't like it it's cool everyone has different tastes but in my opinion that is the best death metal album ever created
This is the intro to their concerts now. I remember them playing this, they walked out, and they played Cast Down the Heretic. I never moshed so hard in my life.
@rockerfromhell32 ok two things first agreed the sun can be a bitch but the sun was also important to the aztecs they believed if they did not complete their human sacrifices that the gods would grow sick and die then the sun would die then the world would end do they're kinda like satanic people plus the sun kinda gives us the warmth we need to live AND the light... just sayin
when i was 6 or 7 i had a reoccuring dream of running from some unseen force thru these tall walled halls with packed dirt floors. only later did i learn it was egypt and so began my attraction for egyptian culture. nile nile nile!
i dont think it was a dumb idea, the mayans and egyptians both had pyramids and worshipped the sun. plus there are many parallels between the early eastern and meso american cultures. i think this tune would be perfect when the prisoners were being marched thru the city and thru the tunnels, and the sacrificial rites.doesnt folk music from many countries sound similar to the other?
@magnusv100 well if you think about the whole sun worshipping thing, it would bring about pyramids, i mean they wanted to be closer to it, and what better way the pyramids
Yeah, the other parts are "Invocation to sedetious heresy", "Destruction of the temple of the enemies of Ra" and "Ruins". They're on all on the same album.
YES!!!!!!!!! I FOUND IT yall dont relize how long ive been looking for this song...and now.........I FOUND IT!! XD.... kudos, uber brownie points and all that shit to the person that put this on here
Best instrumental I've ever heard, I think, with the possible exception of Dialogue with the Stars (In Flames) or Reign of the Hammer (Hammerfall). No this is still by far the most amazing, - it's so much more profound somehow...
no doubt in my mind Nile is one of the most original bands out there i love the way they blend the sounds of ancient egypt into a death metal setting, and holy shit i love the instrumentals, and for those of you that havn't heard Karl Sanders solo album BUY IT RIGHT NOW
Apocalypto? AHAHAHA you're such an ignorant fuck. First of all, Nile deals with Ancient Egyptian Mythology not Mayan nor Aztec... why would they put an Egyptian War Theme on Apocalypto. C'mon just enjoy the song without making any lame suggestions that unveils your stupidity.
I want to thank Nile for attracting me to Egyptian culture. HORNS!!

I used to not like this album, but it grew on me. This one and "Annihilation of the wicked" are their best albums imo.
