Opti-Direct. I've an article on that very system in a old issue of Chevy High Performance magazine. What do you mean by it's not been without its problems?
I'm using a DelTeq aftermarket coil ignition system. However, it's not been without it's problems. All in all, it's been a great car. I'm thinking about disassembling the stock Opti to remove the rotor (not needed with the Delteq) and change out the waterpump; it'll probably go bad soon anyway.
What kind of brakes does it have?

J55 brake option. 13" front, and I have aftermarket rotors and pads.

One of the components failed, making it hard to start, but Delteq replaced it free of charge. That's the only problem I've had.
