Check the guy to the right in the beginning of the video... Star wars kid in latex and leather? And who the hell could fight with two heavy swords that way so long? In lajv, if you got a big two-handed sword, you must "act" the swords weight. And so in LARP, they coming with two big two-handed swords and svishing them like feathers!

Different countries have different LARP rules, that make it interesting but at the end; the most important is to have fun.

Note: the speed fight is not real, the video was accelerated to make it more dynamic because the guys were tired after the shooting ;-)

Well I hate to tell you but those "heavy swords" as you call them are only long swords and are at the most hand and a-half not two handed. And as for not being realistic if those were real swords then they would weigh at the most 3.5lbs and with the proper training a person could wield two at once with the same flare that you see here and given that this is LARP then their charters probably have the proper training.

They're not flimsy, I've been using, the Ranger and the Veteran Swords. The thing about it is when I first saw them I thought they would hit harder then normal boffer style weapons. After a few missed placed head shots from me and my fighting partner ( who is a cop) I can say that all they may leave you with a small red(or sliver if you dont clean the blade after first geting it)mark and sting a little. But look out for objects, mr garden tin man went flying the sword was unharmed

Yeah I think Edhellen armory sells these cheaper in the states, plus weapons that hold up to full contact better.

Edhellen Armory sell boffer weapon type which is very different than Calimacil weapon. Our sword are made of high tech foam which explain the price difference.
