The most people I know with alzheimers are under 65, some in their 40s and me at 53, the bulk of people with Alzheimer are over 65, there is a growing group of people under that age.

My Dad has had dementia for about 2 1/2 years now. He has always been very active. He has always been an inspiration to me in how he helped and served so many people in his life. Now it's my turn to serve him. Thanks for the informative video. I am trying to learn as much as I can about the disease so I can help him and minimize the chances that I develop this disease.
You can develop symptoms similar to Alzheimer's. There are a LOT of things to rule out, from thyroid function to syphilis. That's why people go through such a long examination process before being given a diagnosis of "probable Alzheimer's." There's no way of knowing for sure if you even have the disease without a brain autopsy. People don't die OF Alzheimer's, but WITH it. Both my grandfathers had it, which prompted me to become a gerontology major. It's a tough situation, but don't misinform.
@TehYuni Alzheimer's disease CAN be a cause of death. The destructive proteins called tangles and plaques chronically attack the brain cells starting from the hippocampus through finally the breathing and heartbeat center. CMIIW.
Very sad for any amount of the people to go through this. Lovely chemtrails in the sky today around 3:30p.m. I must say they were simply gorgeous. Completely boring compared to contrails. Mm my coffe taste so much better with this aspartame and flouride. I also enjoy adding rbst and milk pus in my coffee. delicious MSG has me in complete awe.... And load me up with every vaccine there is :D Now I feel healthy. Dont forget to shoot my child up with mercury at birth. Thank you
What?! It's the diet and air we breath that has to change. Politics! Flouride in our water. Drinking from aluminum. There are aluminum stains on peoples brain because of the agenda. People are dead from vaccines. They want to take guns away & already we dont have guns equal to the military. In which was what our country was all about in the begining. They are dumbing down the people & taking away every way to fight back. Quit givin up your rights before its to late!
Many patients and their family's do not realise that they can reclaim any fees that have been paid out of their own pocket for ongoing care for a loved one. Even if the patient has passed away, the family can still reclaim their lost inheritance.
Families who have loved ones suffering with alzheimers and other debilitating illnesses should contact us without delay and let us get the ball rolling for you. We operate a 'no win no fee' and there are no upfront charges to make either.
Does it matter when you have a head injury? For example, what if you have an accident when you're young. Does that increase the chances of having the disease?
@2010ngojo: Absolutely not, the disease has no traumatic cause nor does trauma increase the likelihood of developing Alzheimer's later on.
@vitocobustos: Incorrect. Non-sporadic forms of the disease have been observed in patients as young as 16. There are also conditions such as Niemann-Pick disease that strike children even earlier than that and mimic many of the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. I'd expect someone involved in the field of research to provide better info than you do.
Hillary Clinton is the eldest of three and has two YOUNGER brothers. I think this is the reason why she is so powerful. We need more Hillarys and (Meryl Streeps, who is of the same birth order) don't you think? So if your first child happens to be a girl, and your second child a boy, then have a third child. Hopefully he is a boy.
It would really depend, I guess. However, my stepgranddad knew who his spouse was, even if he recognized her only as his caretaker and not his spouse by the end. I also understand that he actually had a vision of his parents at his passing moment, and could recognize them.
@vitocobustos I have hemidystonia a neurological disorder and am 40. But have severe short term memory and an excellent long term memory. Am I a candidate for Alzheimer
Guys, can teenagers acquire this disease? What could be the possible disease if you are a teenager and your body shows sign of forgetting something easily, cannot easily understand a thing and so on? thx..
@gibsonslasher22 Sleep deprivation, ADHD, depression, excessive caffeine intake, theres a few causes out there. Most are somewhat benign in nature. Hope this helps.
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My grandfather had the disease for more than ten years until his passing in 1988; my grandmother had dementia with frontal lobe Alzheimer's Disease for about four years. She lived much longer with a strong mind and heart, and passed away at 91 yrs old before the disease took hold of her.
@blkcountrywesterngal I currently care for my grandmother with the disease. She too is on Namenda. We've kept her on it longer than the time frame doctor's say is can be effective, but we're afraid to take her off of it. I hope she know us until the end as well.
Has anyone else tried Colostrinin (sold as Cognisure) yet? It is a natrual product that is extracted from Colostrum (bovine breast milk) that is shown to help prevent brain plaque.
It can be bought in nutraceutical form and is also being developed as a pharmaceutical drug.
Colostrinin is a purified element of Colostrum which is sourced from cows milk in South Dakota, USA, where they have not had any problems with Mad cows disease.
If you remember, Japan banned American meat for a long while. The matter was hushed up. There is evidence that infection is the root cause of all forms of MS and Dementia. Safer products must be used.

I have Lyme disease and we in the Lyme community believe that at least a portion of those diagnosed with Alzheimers actually have advanced Lyme disease. Lyme disease in most cases is treatable. Will be happy to email a brochure to anyone interested.

One of the ways to be successful is to learn all of the rules and follow them exactly.
To be super successful, you’ve got to learn all the rules, follow them, and every once in a while, you’ve got to break them.
It’s in the breaking of the rules that you’ll find the breakthroughs. Joseph Sugarman

I work in Alzheimer's disease research.
Teenagers cannot get this disease. The most early case registred is an onset at 35 years old.
Normally this disease is diagnosed after 60 years old
