Don't touch the blub when your finers. The oil in your skin can make the blub burn out quicker. I recommend put a micro fiber towel on your bumper cover, so when you pull the head light out the paint doesnt get scratched.
Turn lights work whilist headlights are off, but when On, the right turnlight works, but the left one clicks once and stays active.
Also, the left turn light (yellow bulb) is brighter than the right side one w/ headlights on.
I'm thinking it could be the Turn signal flasher, because no fuses are blown :/ But still have a doubt if that is it because the flasher does work, just not when the headlights are on.
Thank you so much for doing the video. I usually have to rely on others to do this, but with your video , I did myself in less than 10 minutes. Don't have to rely on anyone now when the lights go out!
Your video was of great help ..I was skeptical if I could replace the headlights on my own, but after watching the video, I did it in like 10mins. Thanks much buddy
Whew! Thank you so much for the "how to" video! I was scared to take out my headlights...and um, when I was pulling up those plastic latches for the blinker lights, both of those latches broke :/ but it seems they stay in place anyway. So other than that~thank you! ^_^ the new chrome housing lights look great on my stang!
@BloodThirstWolf sorry to hear about the latches, they seem pretty weak anyway. But it should stay in place just fine, so no worries on them. I'm glad this video helped you! It seems intimidating but it's actually very simple.
@LordSephiros it really was intimidating, haha! I was squinting my eyes each time I was disconnecting the wires from the headlights, but after the first headlight was out, it was easy street from there! Oh, and another thing is that it was a little difficult fitting the metal slides/bars through the new headlight slots. I had to kinda push the headlights in while sliding the bars though :/ but I'm guessing that's normal because they're "after-market" headlights?
@BloodThirstWolf Yeah sometimes aligning them can be a bit tricky, mine fit in pretty easy. The headlights I put in were also after-market, I guess these are all just made differently.

Thanks soooo much for this video. I'm a 28 year old single lady who knows very little about cars. I just changed my headlight bulb for my mustang and everything went so smooth ! Thanks again ;-)
@niadupree Yahoo! Glad I could help! It isn't that hard at all, it just looks pretty intimidating. I'm glad you were able to do everything pretty smoothly. I tried to demonstrate it in a way that anyone could see how easy it was to do, so again I'm happy it all worked out.!
@Pyrothos666 It's been awhile since I got those smoked headlights, I can't recall where I got em but I think I got those for $150 each. Naw, if you take out those 2 bolts from the back it just takes a good pull to get them out. As for the fog lights, I've never attempted to replace those as my car never had them. Sorry dude! I think they'd be as easy as this, you'd probably have to lift the front of the car up to see what you were doing. Good luck though!
@LordSephiros thanks! so just those two pins then?!! (WAY EASIER THAN MY 06 mustang) and i didnt mean the actual head lights , i mean the bulbs , :P my bad
Thanks a lot for this. I was actually taking out the intake horn and the battery to get at the bulbs. Turns out removing the lamp assembly is much easier.
@traeheleven Hey thanks dude, glad it helped. The headlights came smoked! I bought them off a website like that. They weren't too bad, $150 each I think? Not too bad, and they are still looking nice. I was getting really upset with the headlight restoration products because they weren't doing anything and all the cloudy crap was on the inside of the headlight. I figured I would save myself the trouble and just buy new ones and keep them clean.
GOOD JOB BUDDY.. IT REALLY HELPED ME OUT. ITS JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, IGNORE DOES LOSER PUNKS THAT SEEM TO HAVE NO LIFE. ALL THEY CAN DO IS TALK TRASH ON OTHERS VIDEOS...
@JUANITO5338 Hah they don't bother me much, the headlights are still working perfectly. I did that video Fall of 2007 and they are still working fine today.
Great vid, clear and to the point. I am a new mustang owner and want to learn how to do the simple things myself so I can afford the bigger changes I want. thanks
@kevgarr2006 yeah man no problem, glad I could help. It feels nice to just do these things on your own rather than feeling so helpless that you gotta get someone else to do it.
Poor demonstration.....He doesn't inform you of the importance of not touching the glass with your fingers on the new bulb...Which could possibly cause it to overheat and prematurely fail ...And if you do touch the glass part by accident you want to wipe it down with rubbing alcohol...Also none of the parts he's working with are mentioned by name .....Next time hopefully he'll replace his expletives with actual part names!!!!
@DaveCarey4 Eh, I could've.. but.. I didn't. And the last time I checked, I was the only person who had a video showing how I figured it out on my own. Where was your video when I needed to replace my headlights??
@DaveCarey4 Yeah, I replaced the bulbs like 2-3 years ago and they are still doing fine. And no the parts are not named because I had to figure this out myself, where were you when I made this video? I show you every part that needs to be touched, removed, turned, and how to put them back. I may not know the names, but as far as I am concerned I was pretty thorough in my demonstration.
Awsome video! I was loosing my mind trying to get the headlight bulbs out, and started taking my battery out, my air intake ... it just didnt add up until i saw your video! Thanks!
Alright ill try to get help with this problem in here.....in my 2000 ford mustang...when im in the road my headlights sometimes they just bejing to get off and on like flashing..so idk if somebody can help me with that ill apreciate it....thanks
Does anyone know how to remove the amber inserts in the sidemarker portion of the headlight? I remember seeing an article on how to take the headlights apart and do it, but now I can't find it. Or does some company make the headlights already made that way? I just noticed you have your headlights already done that way...where did you get them?!?
So I had to do this in the dark, with very little in the way of decent lighting to see what I was doing... as a result, following your instructions took me considerably longer than most people. It was around 6 minutes - 3 minutes per bulb. :-)
I never got around to taking those out. I had a 98 Mustang before but I totaled it on the freeway. I hate how they change everything around and things get confusing.
I just hate how much of a pain it is for the SN95, and how EASY it is for the 99+ wish they would've incorporated the "pins" for the SN95.. Ive been playing with them due to the fact im replacing the housings.. so if you dont mind, i'll prolly throw a vid responce for SN95 owners :P

What lights did you get and where did you get them? and how much did they cost? im buying some smoked headlights and would like to do the same.
And i tried pulling out my head lights, not to hard just slight pulling, but is there any bolts near the back of the headlights?
ONE last question do you know if i could replace my fog light lights with those white lights as well?
thanks a ton!
