Simply outstanding - What a privilege to see these amazing Elementary School bands in Korea and Japan (Nakagurose Elementary School) produce the next generation of brilliant musicians. Congratulations to the JinJoo JoongAhn Elementary School in Korea, the students in this ensemble, the conductor and South Korea. You all are a Class of Your Own - Absolutely Brilliant. I pray that Peace descends upon the Korean Peninsular and that Music continues to soothe our Troubled World.
One of the Best Elementary School Brands in the World - a Credit to the State and to Japan. The kids were very professional and a real pleasure to have seen this Wonderful and Superb concert. Congratulations the Band Master, the School and especially the Kids in one of the World's Best Elementary Brass Bands show ever. The same go to the camera person. Proud of You All and God Bless
A lot of Asian school fundings are put into music. I remember I was playing recorder at kindergarten and then piano in gr. 1 from 3 to 6pm at school. People may tell us that we have no life, but the satisfaction after nailing the music is worth it :)
Beautifl stage with each personal solo play are good idea with full of criative idea,
totarly, joyful high level stage with heartful voice and good monners &elegant.
Can youcompose by yourself , acapera voices with full instrumenst with all af your shining palys as original ?Pomping, pichcurts, jumpings on stages ,much long tone legarts with higher and deeper , twinkles , hands, heels , kocking on instruments body of chello as breazing on symbal much using your ways of your ideas.
This is elementary? And by elementary they mean 1st - 5th? DANG! I've been playing trumpet since I was seven but I'm no where near this level of playing! Bravo! I can't imagine the time and practicing they put into this. They probably practice more than I do in a month! I just have to say WOW! They're wonderful!
So I was rehearsing my alma mater high school band who didn't even know their scales (wind ensemble). That was sad. At the start of this video, this was the greatest sounding band I've heard all day. I'm going to Japan.
wow these kids are really good to only be in elementary school. I wish they had band when i was in elementary school, but it seems like the government doesnt really care for the arts and education because that is the thing they take the most money from so how could he have a program like that if the government keep taking funds.
Look at the size of the sousaphone compared the person playing it!!! They don't keel over from the weight of those beasts. I should know, I'm a senior in high school and I play sousaphone. Marching with those monstrosities is HELL.
I'm going to cry. I've been playing trombone since I was ten and can't believe our schools in California have eliminated music programs altogether....what our kids are missing out on......this is beautiful!

OH MY GOSH!!!! They are AMAZING!!! The're better than my school's band and we're the Middle School symphonic band! and they're elementary! the trumpet players could kick my butt in a playing comp! their tone quality is AMAZING!!!!!
I'm a conductor of military band in Rome, it' fantastic to see and listen this moovies,

Momo.
perfect playing, great tuning, awesome performance, but comparing to the other bands, this one is lacking dynamic. BUT great job for an elementary school!

Beautiful tone, And, The girl playing the soprano sax, WOW, seriously, it looks so huge on her but she plays it so beautifully nice, beautiful piece, COMPLETELY done justice.

it's a shame they have no woodwinds except that one or two saxophone. the flutes and clarinet (which I play) have some important complementary parts.
Still this is a very, very good band for sure.

These bands are simply after-school activities in typical schools, not schools of the arts or such. Schools encourage or require clubs for character development, not future professions-just for fun and personal growth. Difference in Japan is that students can only belong to one full time club, and should give it their all. Degree of "success" depends on initiative of club sponsor, or director.
