I am really sorry to hear about your hair. I had problems when I bleached my hair. I had to let the damaged hair grow out and return to my natural color. I took a little over a year for get all my natural color hair back and for it to be healthy again. After that I waited about a year before I colored my hair again. I know for me the best thing was to STOP bleaching and let your hair heal! I wish you all the best of luck!
Okay shes really retarded , i did this my hair's fine no hair fell out ! your supposed to use a 30 developer and bleach your hair , then yes it will turn orange it takes steps, then wait about 3-4 days, then try it again i used a 40 developer because i wanted platinum so that turn out well , then use a toner and there ! then use Moroccan oil between bleaches to prevent hair damage and fallout .
I went from black to white blonde/Silver and I just did alot of bleachings for short amount of times with deep conditioning in between. Try moroccan oil and make sure to always use your blue shampoos and conditioners.
when you bleach your hair and it turns to mush there isn't much you can do for it. K-PAK works wonders. you should go to a salon to get your roots redone. and DON"T BRUSH YOUR HAIR WHEN IT"S WET, LET IT AIR DRY AND THEN BRUSH IT. A PROFESSIONALS OPINION!
I'm not trying to sound rude but...if you leave bleach on for two whole hours...well that would definetly cause your hair to fall out or break. I've been bleaching ym hair for a while and I never leave it on for more than forty five minutes, and even that may be too much for some people.
i actually went from light brown to white with bleach and it actually feals really super softer than before. there isnt any damage. i got it done by my professional hair bleacher.
i have long blonde hair ... really healthy bleached blonde hair. i use onece a week home made mask from extra virgin olive oil + honey + egg + mayo ... it really really does the magic. try it
I used to bleach my hair and had the exact same problems. I am sorry! I no longer bleach it. I dye (I think it is not as damaging). But don't worry about it, you are so beautiful! Your hair is just hair, you are lucky because you are beautiful anyways! Hope you get your desired look on your hair!
you should defo leave off the bleach and if you really aree intrested in going that rij=hanna red then defo use affrinage b-red higlighter foor roots refresher for ends and as your hair is really light i would advise using magenta for shades 6 and above other shampoo is to use biosilk from sallys its great if u want any more info let me no as b-red isnot bleaching its lifting itx

The person at Sally's said the wrong thing. You mix the brass remover stuff with the bleach and then you bleach your hair. Thats probably why it didnt work. The person at Sally said it wrong.

Also try twice a week using a premade mask you can buy, or simply make your own, with one avacado, mayonaise, egg yolk, cup of olive oil and conditioner. seriously helps :)
what happened was, you should have used the hair stripper first. the stripper gets rid of all the artificial colouring that youve previously used in your hair and basically turns your hair orange haha. then your suppost to put the bleach in till it reaches a certain yellowy colourbutuse the blue bleach powder. You then tone it with a toner, then use a blonde colour hair dye. but oh wellllll
I'm planning to go from my natural dark/medium brown hair to a ginger red (trying to avoid brassy, but going for the natural look). I'm thinking about lightening it with lemon juice until it's light enough to dye. Has anyone here tried something like that? I don't want orange or pink hair, and I'm NOT using bleach. Oh, and thanks for making this video. I think alot more people need to see it, because SOOO many people bleach their hair or want to do it, not always realizing how damagingit is.
I went through the EXACT same expierience as you, i went from black to blonde very quickly. After 3 years of bleaching i had no hair left to bleach. Ive now been brunette for a few months and i have not seen any improvment in my hair. DO NOT BLEACH YOUR HAIR. It will take years to grow back! I wish you luck!
you went did it from boxes, my hairdresser actually fucked up my hair I had extremely long brunette hair up to my back, wanted highlights came back with short fucked up blonde wispy hair :l
one advice from me : .. CUT YOUR HAIR! .. cut it like a nice layered short hairstyle ! ..i know this sounds like a terrible idea! because your not even thinking off cutting your hair! ... but its the only thing you can do: .. cut it short but not too short ...use lots of deep conditioners&hairmasks.. cut split ends and dont blowdry your hair it will make them even more damaged ..Then buy som blonde Extensions! .. wear them till your *healthy* hair grows back again, thats what i did :-)
And if you decide LATER that you want to become a platinum blonde again, go to a professional. Someone lied to you when they said that a salon would give you the same results. It is our JOB to keep hair healthy when delivering our guests the results they want. If anything they will bleach your hair in stages. Come in one day and bleach and follow with a keratin treatment and then wait a few days and repeat. It may cost a little more but its worth the healthy hair.
Okay so first of all, DO NOT touch your hair with another chemical! NONE! Second, find a salon that offers keratin treatments. They reconstruct the hair. Your hair at this point reached its melting point which means you absolutely can not make it healthy again. You can mask the damage with conditioners and things of that nature but nothing will make it healthy. The keratin treatment will strengthen it enough to keep it from breaking anymore but other than that there's nothing to do.
Try this: mix 20 vol and 30 vol in a 1:1 ratio, then mix that mixture with bleach 1:1.5. Apply to regrowth and wait 20-25 minutes. Then, mix up a 40 volume bleach 1:1. Sounds crazy I know, believe me, but the first app opens the hair, while protecting the scalp from the 40 vol bleach, and the 40 vol bleach more or less dissolves the rest of the color in nothing flat. I've found it doesn't irritate my scalp like usual and it actually was better for my hair because I didn't have to bleach as much!
Pravana also has a protein shampoo that really helps I've heard, although I haven't used it, my sources are very reliable. Also, use a different bleach! I use the Salon Care blue Prism Lites which is the sally's off brand bleach, but for the price it works just as well as professional lighteners I've used. During June they usually have a buy one tub get one free. 32 oz of bleach for 16 dollars! use no higher than a 20 vol for retouch. if additional lightening is needed,
but it will help "fill" in your hair and make it appear more healthy. you can also get a pureology protein filler which works wonders! it's part of their Perfect for Platinum line, and Pravana has two really great protein fillers. One is a thermal protein treatment if you use hot tools and another one that doesn't necessarily need heat.
Just remember, Color stripper is to be used before a lightening/bleaching service, and bleaching should be done 1 week to 1 month apart from each application.
it smells amazing, and is 100% vegan, while it also helps keep your color fresh!
Second, is Joico K-pak shampoo and conditioner. I would use it in conjunction with the k-pak reconstructor and intense moisturizer, or the new Joico K-pak Revitaluxe, it is the reconstructor and moisturizer all in one! also to save your hair, like I've done, you may need to compromise the lightness for the integrity of the hair. Get a color the same shade or one-two shades darker and apply it. yes, it will be dark
also as far as products go. I would say at home treatments would be olive oil, egg wash and vitamin e oil treatments. The eggs smell gross, but it helps. just make sure to lightly shampoo it out with warm/cool water and use conditioner. Don't use hot water when shampooing, use lukewarm to cool. Hot water actually strips moisture from the hair.
As far as products go. They are expensive, but they help. Pureology has a line called Perfect for Platinum. It's for people that have 4+ levels of lift
this comment is meant to be helpful so please take it that way! Products from sally's, especially ones for damaged hair work fairly well, but, professional products are definitely the way to go! It costs more for sure, but your hair should be fun and you should love it! If what you do causes you emotional pain you should quit doing it! If you love it please go to a hair dresser. like I said, pricey, but their products have less harmful chemicals in them to help lessen the damage toward your hair
don't yall understand that box kits let alone dying in general isn't good for the hair. everyone wants to be blonde... and your hair will ultimately pay the price. her hair doesn't even look healthy.. all dry.. brittle.. no luster :( this makes me sad... just cut it shorter and let it grow back in healthier. your hair is precious... treat it nicely
...I had the same exact thing happen to my hair two years ago and discovered a great product that you are going to absolutely love if you try it!!!! Its aphogee two step treatment from sallys beauty supply store, It's cheap and totally repaired my hair!! my hair was breaking, dry, and brittle before I used aphogee and this product totally helped repair my hair!!! I guarantee that if you go and buy it you won't regret a thing and you will feel the difference as your washing it out in the shower!!
Holy crap you obviously didn't do enough reaserch! Your supposed to bleach it to the brassy color and don't bleach it again! Use a toner directly after you bleach it unless your using an un-natural dye. Holy cow. Im not even trying to be mean. Just... Seriously... ask PEOPLE not google -.-'
omg when you said that your hair fell out i wanted to cry! I feel so bad for you! I had to go through this last year because I was an idiot. Basically, I didn't know what hair relaxer is....I thought it was a product to make your hair soft.....So I put it in for a very....very...long time.....it gave me a terrible chemical burn on my forehead and ears...allllll my hair was fried and falling out. I deep conditioned the crap out of it and now it's a lot better...now i'm thinking of going blonde
Going from black to blonde in one or two steps is Never a good idea. People see hollywood stars do it, but they have a team of two or three stylists working on them. You should have a professional do it. The process involves going to a brown then blonde, usually over the coarse of 3-6 months. Doing it this way minimize the damage on your hair. Whenever you color your hair be careful off overprocessing your hair.
I recommend you get the joico k-pak hair treatment it really restores life to your hair I did the exact same thing you did. Black to bleach blonde but thank fully my hair did not fall out and i had candy apple red underneath the black. My hairdresser said it was beacause of the treatment I was using.
You can order it online or treade seacret ... I have reviews on the treatment check them out...
Hey, I'm a hair stylist! I wish I could have helped u with yr hiar before. In order to get the blonde color u want,u have to wait bwt bleachings.Plus, not to Ever leave it in for 2 hours. If u do it slowly & not rush u could have a pretty blonde ith less damage. The reason so many people damage their hair bc they don't wait.If u want a pretty cherry red color u can get Manic Panic, which is much safer than reg. hair color.I love the blonde on u though.I just got black color outta my hair
after bleaching my hair white blonde that took a year i had it all cut off and into a bob and thats when my hair was finally healthy !
my advice.
CUT IT SHORT,
DYE IT LIGHT BROWN
GROW IT
THEN GO TO THE HAIR DRESSERS AND HAVE IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY
ive made the mistake and dyed my hair almost black again, and now i want to go blonde. ive been growing it out for 1year and its almost out, i can bleach my hair January 2012 !!!
Your not suppose to do this the same time. Wait a week or so let the natural oils get back into your hair dont wash for two days then bleach but use a lesser volume. Then your suppose to use the toner. For a week use conditioner only the shampoo breaks ur hair more. Use aussie hair care its awesome. I did my hair before and it fell out I know what you been threw but then I did it this way and it was perfectttt
Very sad that your hair fell out. But I think that when you decided to bleach your hair by having the bleach in for more than the package said made a huge deal. So if you bleach your hair the right way, it wont fall out. You will never get blonde hair by bleaching it so fast, it wont get blonde in a week or to, it takes time, and i mean many months to get blonde hair without the hair dying. Sad though..
i had the same problem from to much bleaching 5 months ago i kept overlaping the bleach hair was so gummy and stretchy and falling out the products that got my hair healthy again was redken extreme antisnap leave in conditioner and there shampoo and conditioner and also argan oil and bedhead dumb blonde reconstructer and mine is sooo much better i know its devestating i cried alot but u will get there it will just take time we learn when we take matters into r own hands good luck hun.
i just went from being my natural color with highlights in it to bleach blonde and i kind of regret it also. the bleaching has totally damaged my hair, i had nice long hair before that was healthy and now my ends are totally fried i need a haircut but don't want one because i don't like my hair short. It took me so long to grow it out i originally had a very messed up cut that was extremely short and i hated it i said i'd never go back to short hair again. bleaching is very damaging
I literally just did this same thing..... I never learn and I had bright red on my hair before.... SOO! Yeah definitely know what youre talking about!
I mentioned this product in another video, but if you can get your hands on Kerastase Vita-Cimente Treatment, I had it on for five minutes and ... it was like magical, haha, it felt so soft, when before it was that complete fried mess!
Your blonde's a really nice colour but i wouldn't keep dying it blonde or dye it red. i dyed my hair red and even if its permanent the dye washes out after around two weeks and it fades into a ginger brown...i bleached my hair with 40vol when it was that colour and my hair went coral so i then dyed it with ash blonde and now its peachy coloured. if i were you i would dye my hair medium brown, cut off the ends, then condition it A LOT. wait for it to become healthy again before dying it red.
Well, I'm a hairdresser and someone who loved colouring. So you're lucky ha, if you get a conditioner with keratin that will replace the protein that's been ripped out you're hair. If you wan't to colour it use a hairdye that's a semi with no peroxide. And to make it healthier and look healthier use vitamin E oil to give it shine.
@darknessfalls26 Yeah, tigi dumb blonde. Shampoo once a week. Condition like no tomorrow also get a leave in conditioner. And yeah there's one called 'Loreal Excellence HiColor' it's amazing for dark hair. You might want to use manic panic on already bleached hair anything with peroxide right now would be to harsh.
@darknessfalls26 bleaching your roots should be fine, just dont overlap the bleaching :) id recommend Ojon damage reverse, expensive but i used to bleach my hair loads (im now black giving it a rest) and its done wonders for my hair (sorry for butting in on ur chat) x
girl i am sooo sorry u have had to go through that...the things we do for beauty! lol..i have def. been there!:) one thing that is REALLY good for fixing your hair is organic virgin coconut oil...google it u will see it has soo many awesome benefits for hair kin and body:)..and bright red is alot better for ur hair as long as u dont bleach anymore...try to stay away from dyes with amnonia in them too..i'm def no expert but i've had alot of trial and error with my own hair, hope this helps:)
I am really sorry to hear about your hair. I had problems when I bleached my hair. I had to let the damaged hair grow out and return to my natural color.

GROW IT
THEN GO TO THE HAIR DRESSERS AND HAVE IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY
ive made the mistake and dyed my hair almost black again, and now i want to go blonde. ive been growing it out for 1year and its almost out, i can bleach my hair January 2012 !!!
hair is currently light brown andvery dark ends
i also had it stripped

how i bleeched my black hair (my natural hair is mousey brown)
1.got the bleech dye from the shop
2.put it on./WENT ORANGE/white blonde
3.then did the same the next day( started falling out )
4.i didnt use my GHD's for 2 months and used AUSSIE MIRICLE CONDITIONER
5.every time my roots showed i just bleeched them,(dont do ends)
6.my hair eventually got to white blonde and the orange faded. my hair was still dry but it looked nice and fine.
7. it took 1YEAR ! for it all to be white blonde.

I did my hair before and it fell out I know what you been threw but then I did it this way and it was perfectttt

this definitely made me a bit more nervous about bleaching my hair on my own.

the reason it fell out is coz you left it on too long!!

Sad though..

i just went from being my natural color with highlights in it to bleach blonde and i kind of regret it also. the bleaching has totally damaged my hair, i had nice long hair before that was healthy and now my ends are totally fried i need a haircut but don't want one because i don't like my hair short.

@charmedjames thanks. Can you recommend a conditioner? Do you think I should quit breaching? Cuz I really love the blonde. :(
darknessfalls26 9 months ago
@darknessfalls26 Yeah, tigi dumb blonde. Shampoo once a week. Condition like no tomorrow also get a leave in conditioner. And yeah there's one called 'Loreal Excellence HiColor' it's amazing for dark hair. You might want to use manic panic on already bleached hair anything with peroxide right now would be to harsh.
charmedjames 9 months ago
@darknessfalls26 bleaching your roots should be fine, just dont overlap the bleaching :) id recommend Ojon damage reverse, expensive but i used to bleach my hair loads (im now black giving it a rest) and its done wonders for my hair (sorry for butting in on ur chat) x
