  • In 12 hours this all starts in the UK at moveyourmoney dotorgdotuk, I can think of two banks to move money to: @CharityBank and @Triodos (on Twitter)

  • Anyone know the music?

  • After I graduate from Pitt, I'm moving my money from PNC to a local bank.

  • just awesome!!!! love this!! so freakin genius! and so freakin true!!! love this creativity!!!!

  • This is what dumb Americans get when they want less government regulations! They are so afraid of a "liberal' government, well guess what the government has to watch everything you do because the banks did what ever they wanted to. In Canada we had NO banking crisis and minimal increases in foreclosures because we watch our banks. The dumb republicans wanted no government interference and now you are paying for it HA HA HA !

  • @tigeroak The way I understand it, Fannie Mae and Freddy Mack were CREATED by the American gov't and did the greatest damage, the banks meanwhile had the government's support and encouragement via their relationship with the Federal Treasury.... the REAL Mr. Potter

  • Bravo! I am consistently impressed with the creativity and ingenuity of people. Thank you so much for putting this together. It is an important piece of art and should be seen by the world.

  • Where was my bailout? That was a US citizen U favored over me...

  • Moving my cash into a safe lol

  • omg.

  • we all need money

  • "If Obama can't get the job done I'll find someone else that will."

George Soros, after the 2010 election landslide for Republicans.

  • For a number of years, now, I have kept a checking account at a community bank, and there are no problems in regard to derivatives and credit default swaps - at all.

I also have a savings account at a local credit union, where I'm trying my best to save some cash for a laptop computer, which would enable me to work on some story ideas I have.

I moved my money, and it sure feels good!

  • does anyone know what the name of background music is?..

great video & death to banks!!

  • Good video. The only thing wrong with it is that it makes the democrats look like the good guys. The bailouts were supported by both parties. Ron Paul has been warning about this for 30 years and nobody listened.

  • Love America. The obama thing, not so much.

  • @klawrence738 hate on america much, fellow citizen?

  • @klawrence738 uhhh what? obama is totally bought and paid for by the finance industry (i.e. banks that caused the crisis) where the heck do you get the nonsense that he's for credit unions?

  • just remember when you support a union, you are supporting OBAMA. If you are better off now than you were 3 years ago, go a head. just sayin....

  • @klawrence738 Obama cares about the unions? That's news to me!

  • The banks pay the politicians to deregulate them. OWS has its priorities straight that the banks are the source of the problem.

  • No good can come of this. The real target needs to be the federal government. Any harm caused to the banks because of this will be bailed out by the government and YOU will pay for it. You're harming yourself, not the banks.

  • Occupy washington you dumbasses, the government is taking your money and giving it to the banks...

  • Closed my main bank for local credit union. Closing my ally account and opening another CU acct which offers interest bearing checking....with NO minimum...and NO fees. Amazing, huh?

  • Look at the comments! We're on the right side of history, folks.

  • Closed my Suntrust today... ,moved to a local credit union.

  • Switched son's SSI from TrustCo to Credit Union today. CU gave 60$ to his account! WooHoo! #OCCUPYBANKS #OWS #OCCUPYWALLSTREET #CANARYPARTY

  • Closed ING account this week.

  • I moved my money today. Actually, I took it out of the bank yesterday, and opened two accounts at my credit union today. Now, if I can find an insurance union, I'm in business! Keep up the great videos!

  • Move your money where? you mean withdraw it all at the same time? If you try doing that what is gonna happen is that the banks will go on lock and won't allow people to withdraw money at all and then they have to be intervened. It happened in Argentina in 2000.

  • The sucky part is that after more than 30 years of being raped by the 1% most of us have very little money to move.

  • Really well done!

  • @JORGEPSOUSA911 lemme splain this as compassionately as possible: you've been brainwashed!

  • My Money hasn't been in a bank for years, Credit Unions only since 2005. It's the only way to make sure that my money is used locally. (what little I have). People seem to think that Credit Unions don't have all the same perks that big banks have, but they are wrong. They have all that and more - peace of mind, knowing that your money isn't being used to make some hedge fund manager more money in a week than you'll make all year.

  • I wish I could give my mortgage to my credit union but unfortunate that's the only thing i have no control over.... well at least not for the next 20 years :(

  • The link doesnt work.

  • This is why I moved my money to a credit union four years ago. I got sick of my commercial bank nickel-and-diming me for everything. Since switching to a credit union the services is excellent and the fees practically don't exist. At a credit union I feel like I'm PART of it, and not a cow that can be milk whenever the bank feels like it.

  • PS: Fuck the Potters of this world. The big banks are a cancer. They think they are too smart and when it comes to deal with the government, they are, unfortunately. Strike back. Deprive them and vote for the correct people.

  • All these too big to fail should be out of your 'bank' vocabulary. Find other solutions. I have and it ain't a big bank, yet I have substantial savings.Fcuk big banks and AIG, etc. etc. No way!!

  • I've already made plans to switch over from Citibank over to Plains Capital tomorrow here in Texas :)

  • We will get through this guys :) Remember. ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE! ::wipes a tear off and gives a thumbs up::

  • Canadians - TD, RBC, BMO, CIBC, Scotiabank, and National Bank - the "Big 6" are JUST AS EVIL as Goldman Sachs, Chase, Citibank, and the rest of the criminals and crooks who have stolen the wealth and futures of millions of Americans. We need Canadians to move their money just as badly as Americans. Do it! Find a local credit union!

  • I only wish I had money in BOA so I could move it.

  • Awesome! I love it.

  • Thumbs up if you are moving your money tomorrow...or already have!

  • Thank you you for posting this.

  • FUCK YOU B of A! FUCK YOU WELLS FARGO! FUCK YOU CITIBANK! FUCK YOU CHASE! FUCK YOU US BANK!

    NEVER AGAIN!

  • Last month had more credit union account openings than ALL of the months of 2010 combined. We're doing a good job folks!!

  • Puts the big picture into perspective, especially for the brainwashed Americans out there.

  • I'm in the process of moving my money from Wells Fargo to a community bank in Dallas (Veritex Community Bank). Like many, I procrastinated much longer than I should have in the face of increasing fees. With my new bank I'm paying NO fees, particularly the onerous fee I was being charged at WF for downloading my banking info into Quicken. The fee schedule that the new bank does have for unusual transactions I can tell are lower than at WF. So buh Bye "Too big to fail" bank!!!

  • @ddottochenno ...Furthermore, would you like to splice a minority George Bailey into the old film? The contemporary portion of the video has an important comment for reform by the Congressman Cummings from Maryland who, BTW, is black.

  • Comment removed

  • What happened last time the banks ran out of money? They stole it from us.

  • @ddottochenno ...I disagree with the first part of your comment. I don't see how using the perfect example of this widely familiar, small Mid-western white town (with only one latino immigrant café owner) has intentions of racism. Although this is a major theme of OWS, this video is NOT about OWS. It was made about 2 years ago.

  • While getting the divestment message across, this vid unfortunately conveys a subtle racism that should have been subverted. The Occupy movement is comprised of all peoples, not just the white middle class.

  • @ddottochanno Kill Whitey

  • I can't find much info on Bank of the West. Anyone know? thanks

  • I worked at corporate Bank Of America in Plano Tx and all the execs and the president pulled the entire 6 floors of employees to tell us we should change our bank to Bank of America. Interupted the entire work crew to ask us to switch. No one there knows what is going on at any time, no coummunication. It was the most disorganized place I have ever worked at. Do not get a home loan through them.

  • I learned of "moved your money" even before seeing this video, a friend told me of the movement....I immediately saw it as a viable tool, took a day off worked, opened an account with my neighborhood credit union and am now poised to "move my money" on Saturday, November 5. I have been spreading the word, fanning the fire. The "Mr Potters", of our country will certainly feel the pinch, perhaps not fail, but some off those greedy CEOs will get less of a bonus... And if this movement causes job

  • Credit Unions are the best deal in town. These banks are owned by the depositors so they have much better deals in regard to interest, loans, checking accounts, etc.

  • @tocof1 They have you fooled. Government OF the people, BY the people & FOR the people is no problem. Big business is only for profit. Big business is the biggest threat to small business (which is the American dream). Big business is the biggest viable threat to true democracy today.

  • You people are funny. Banks aren't the problem. Government is the problem.

  • @tocof1 You have to start somewhere, and if Congress isn't listening, it's time to punish the too-big-to-fail banks, who care little for their customers and only for the bottom line.

  • @tocof1 After the Great Depression, regulations were instituted to prevent another crash. Those regulations were abolished in hte last 20 years, creating one of the worst depressions since the depression.

  • Greed is not the issue!

The system dictates it's form. The free market is always going to pursue the lowerest wages and the highest profit with the maximum human pain.

Reforms are a temporary fix. Corporations have the lawyers on staff and the resouces to lobby until the restrictions are lifted. They just finished get the laws

    repealed.

    End wage slavery!

  • Bank Transfer Day - November 5th 2011!

Thumbs up to spread the awareness!

  • am 30 now. I dumped Wells Fargo 10 years ago when I got stuck with multiple overdraft fees greater than my average balance. Been with a local credit union since then. I hope every living soul in the U.S. moves their money.

  • @esolis85623 I transferred all the cash I could.

See my channel for the trailer and the link is in it’s description.

Watch “How To Rob A Bank” at UmotionS.com

  • Watch the Banks ask for another bail out!

  • To big to fail Banks and corporations used money to buy politicians to drop regulations & removing the Glass-Steagall Act (no more sheriff, no more referee). These banks made loans they KNEW would fail, sold them in bundles to Wall Street & KNOWING they would fail bet against them. Bush's administration allowed a "socialistic" bail out to these banks, Americans are still paying for this crime. BANK TRANSFER DAY is a way to fight back. Move your money to credit union or small bank Nov. 5.

  • @unpluggedtube01 people become conscious objectors against the military because they don't support what they're doing. This is very similar in that we, the 99%, are no longer going to support the unethical business practices of these for-profit banks. As George said, "This town needs this measly one horse institution, if only to have someplace where people can come without crawling to Potter." Credit union and small banks are those "one horse institutions". :)

  • Guys make sure you pick a good CU too. Some of the CU seem a little shady.

  • It's about time! I've had all my money in my local credit union for 20+ years, and been trying to get others to do the same. Very glad this is catching on!

  • I left BofA for WaMu in '05 after being insulted, TWICE! I then left Chase just this past May after they Bogart-ed my grandfathered WaMu account. I'm happily without a big or Wall St. Bank thanks in part to their OWN ignorance!

  • Simple.

  • Bank Transfer Day 11/05/11

  • Let us move forward as a community to help all our people succeed. Our people are our power. MOVE MONEY! I will move my accounts to the credit union and will pay off our Bank of America credit card. As a nation, as one people in this world we will succeed. We will make sure our kids get an education, our people receive health care, our people will not suffer.....our government will represent our people. LETS DO THIS. NOW IS OUR MOMENT.

  • Bank Transfer Day - Saturday - November 5, 2011

Move Your Money out of major banks to Credit Unions and small, local banks!

Thumbs up to help spread awareness

  • I used to have an excellent community bank...Progressive Home Federal, they actually helped people in the community...I miss them since I moved away.....

  • Learn about Bitcoin!

  • @stevenwagner Buttcoins?

  • I just rewatched its a wonderful life thanks for the reference.

  • The Top commenters have it all right!! Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank, BofA, and ~ANYTHING NOT LOCAL~ should be avoided and the relationship you have with that bank ended! roydeyoung09's AWESOME VID was posted MORE than 2 years ago and was the BEST advice out there! Now because a girl got pepper sprayed, we might actually listen. What does it take for people to STOP being lazy and MOVE THEIR MONEY?!! You can change this crisis completely if we ALL do it! This Evil HAS to Stop Now! Just Do it!!!!!

  • 44 bankers didn't like this video. Oh well, time to die.

  • @ThePatriotMuckraker hahaha dude, I laughed so hard to that comment. But seriously, Time to Fucking Die.

  • @ThePatriotMuckraker I don't wish bankers dead, just broke. See how they like it!

  • I think of this movie every single time I hear conservative talking points!

  • @TheJewRegulator sorry not Israel . all roads lead to rome. the federal reserve was created by the Jesuits. the hofjusdens are just useful tools. The people of Israel dont know that they are slaves of the papacy.

  • what their trying to do is slowly brake the back of the dollar, thats why you read 2 billion missing in iraq, 550 for car co in finland, 550 billion for solyndra and on and on!

  • This is a great first step. The best step to destroy the New World Order central bank mafia is to create local currencies! We can do this today without a vote. Go to truthbomb1 channel

  • Good idea, until the powers that be confiscate your money at gunpoint.

  • With the banksters and the tribe of Kazarian filth that caused this mess, the worse is yet to come. In reality, potters name should be replaced with 'Shapiro,' or Rosenblatt.

  • Potter worked for Rothschild, worshiped Satan and was a pedophile!

  • @amsmom1957

    You got it.

  • I hope that everybody in the 'Occupy' movements has withdrawn all their money from corporate banks if they are able to - from the amount of interest you get you may as well hide it under the mattress anyway...why give them an excuse to create more money they don't own from yours.

  • glass steagall or die bitches.

  • I've been in a credit union for years , Bever been in a BIG bank and never will

  • Check out "Bank Transfer Day" on Facebook!

  • I am moving my money to a credit union on November 5th 2011.

  • I have banked at community banks my entire life, even though we have a couple of Huge banks here, like Wells Fargo who has even offered $50 bonus to get an account there. No way!

  • I have used credit unions my whole adult life (65 now), with great confidence.

  • I just opened a local CU account and there will be no looking back. Got a bunch of $ that's coming out of Wall St (Chase) and into my member-owned, non-profit CU. I can't Occupy Wall Street but I can do this. The CU offerings and their customer service seem excellent, this will definitely be an upgrade.

  • @infidl occupy wherever you are.

  • If this would have happened in China, the people responsible would have been EXECUTED !

  • Credit unions for life!!

  • I did it! I inherited a little money and have started accounts at a local credit union. I thought it might make me feel a little unnerved, but instead I thought; "Hey! I could really get addicted to this!" The people I dealt with had such a different attitude than with the sad clerks of a Bank. None of that apologetic stuff. Proud. Effing proud.

  • money ?????? maybe... move you power?

  • I just bought a load of gold bullion coins the elite fags aint gettin there hands on my hard earned savings they can fuck themselves

  • Man, I couldn't stop myself crying when they all came to give their money back to George Bailey. And I've seen this movie dozens of times.

If you love honest and decent people like George Bailey, and can't stand corporate greed and selfishness like Mr. Potter, please, move your money.

  • The problem is BAD BANKS. It could be big or small. Banks that finance politics and do lobby will in situations of crisis, ask for the promised favor in their campaigns, in exchange for their money. The problems actually are GOVERNMENT. If we had a small government, that didn't have the big power to bailout their friends when in dangerous... but permit business to fail if they had bad behavior, economics and people would be much better...

  • Great, so long as you never plan to travel.

  • well more than simple instances , the entire system is rtarded , to the point where it has little to with the physical world. perhaps something more democratic? and efficient? lol instead of us spending our lives working in a thousand different companies but not really improving the whole situation in our work, obviously im a communist but im the good politic by that label^^ . not the cuban govt or soviet govt. who is better to decide our needs but all of us? since thats the question

  • very nice video. Technocash provides move money service.

  • very good video. we provide money moving service.

  • The article, Move Your Money in the New Year on Huffington Post's website explains how this video came about. I also wrote my own commentary on my blog.

  • Nothings changed on Wall Street as they've gone back to derivatives and credit default swaps. It's December 2010. I switched from Chase to a Calif. bank. B o A is foreclosing on my house after offering ARM refi and steadfastly refused to adjust the balance even though it would seem to make more sense to work with me.

  • @falcon2160 Feel for you. Similar foreclosure fiasco here in UK but way less aggressive. On the other hand your resources in US are way ahead of ours. Maybe search on Commercial Redemption? Winston Shrout, Creditors in Commerce, Angela's Talkshoe / Homestead, Neomorpheus on Talkshoe, that kind of thing? Get stuck in, learn legal self-protection, never say die, never consent unconditionally, learn "who you are", best of luck falcon2160!

  • America fell fascism a long time ago.

If the founding fathers would see this America as it is now, I think they would want to return to their grave.

  • Very good video, thanks.

  • Big banks should all be burned to the ground.

  • @mattador2792

But Goldman Sachs is doing "God's Work" says Lloyd Blankfein (CEO of GS)

  • @diurdi Gods work my ass

  • ... and while your at it.. make sure not to put the money into a money market account... just a regular savings account.. money market accounts pay higher dividends but at a bigger risk bcz its used to bet on the highs and lows of the currency market. In other words a Risk-o-rama account!

  • So simple...invest your money in local banks and get as far away from the big banks that are sucking the life out of America.

  • . . . wow... That's powerful stuff!!

  • gerat movie with realism, the difference today is become legal to steal, and on a much bigger scale !!!

  • Hell, move your money from any bank into precious metals. I did this 4 months ago and my silver has gone up 33% in just 2 months. If you do the math, I swapped a 0.10% annual return (from the glorified mattress called a bank) for a 200% annual return from silver.

    What say you?

  • Fuckin Genius

  • I have created piggybankblog com for those who have been abused by Bank of Destroying America's potentially irregular, fraudulent and simply abusive home loan modification program.

I have added a place on my blog for the move your money campaign.

My name is John Wright and I AM FIGHTING BACK!

  • Awesome vid, keep up the good work!

  • Watch!

  • Watch!

  • We moved all our banking needs to a local Credit Union after the financial collapse. We did not want our money at a bank that received bailout money, and, we decided to keep our money in the local community. Credit Unions loan money to the COMMUNITY, they DO NOT get involved in multibillion dollar credit default swap deals, etc. Stay local!!!

  • so what happens when everyone puts all their money in small banks? wont they become big banks, and the cycle continues?

  • @dkc14456 not if you keep your money in a Credit Union. Credit Unions are non profit, member owned and cannot gobble up their competition.

  • @garyegray non profit and not for profit are a little different. But yes, Credit Unions are not for profit.

  • @dkc14456 Credit Unions aren't banks.

  • @dkc14456

No, because the profit made is returned to the people that made deposits in the credit union, and is NOT paid out in huge bonuses to CEO's and dividend returns to "investors". The only "investors" in a credit union are the people that keep their money in that credit union. Do a little research, and you will be amazed at the benefits to moving your money to a local credit union. Good luck!

  • Outstanding! I would move my money to the Institution for Savings in a heartbeat ... but it's already there! So is my mortgage. It really is an excellent bank, with big-bank resources and small-town values. It treats its customers and its community extremely well.

  • How can we know if the small banks aren't in fact connected to the mafia-gansta federal reserve Rothschild bank? Rothschild OWNS the trash company for the apartments I live by!! He owns the trash/environmental corporation service of my apartment. I googled the name, looked into it deeply, followed some lines/strings and discovered the horrible truth...I now feel less safe! This same "trash/environmental corporation" I mentioned above is the entity who put "digital bus cards" in buses.

  • And what can I do if I see everywhere only big banks? Nowadays you can't trust anybody. My mother is working in a pretty small bank, but still she gets 1.000 euros per month and her director gets 50.000 euros per month. I remember a saying: "When a company is going bad, then only the workers will pay for the loss, but if the company has high earning, only those who are managing the company will profit from this."

  • I created piggybankblog com for all those who have been abused by Bank of Abusing America's potentially irregular, fraudulent and simply abusive loan modification process.

My name John Wright and I AM FIGHTING BACK!

    PIGGYBANKBLOG COM

  • 2007 like the video and 43 don't. Is it that the 43 are too ignorant to understand the idea behind it? Maybe they are ones that are making money on the monster banks that are destroying our nation and planning to take over the world with a global government.

It is possible that if a video isn't about movie stars or rap, they are not interested because they are mentally retarded. They are unable to understand anything past a narrow area of personal interests.

We are waking up the sheeple.

  • i LOVE my local credit union! =)

  • watch the money masters

    this video explains that the

FEDERAL RESERVE IS REALLY A PRIVATE INSTITUTION

  • I have an account at a credit union and it's been so much better than dealing with the morons at Wells Fargo... as soon as I can I'm closing my Wells Fargo account and shifting everything to the Credit Union

  • Fuck the TCF bank for charged $10 per month when I received the mail statement. Tomorrow, I will get out my fucking money out of the TCF bank, then I will close my account! Fuck TCF, Bank of America!

  • where can i watch the movie

  • What is the song in this video?
