  • And that's how Radiohead invented/wrote "Karma Police"

  • Yeah, this is the mono version. The differences are the "no tambourine" in the beginning and the extra bar at 2:58

  • @TommyGarcia2 the mono version does not have the extra bar this is just an outtake 117

  • @totaldrambeatles22 alright, that's cool.

  • they should not have cut that out

  • that bridge is sexy

  • This song was actually written about my friend Muffy.

  • Radiohead ripped this song off, and this djmira23 guy seems to think the opposite. Do your homework, Bonehead!

  • Don't follow Indian gurus

  • Yep definitely not fake, it's just the way the song was before it was edited. It's the real deal.

  • This is not fake - this recording is taken from the so-called 'Peter Sellers Tape', a tape made by Ringo for actor Peter Sellers of rough mono mixes from what would become the 'White Album'. Google 'Peter Sellers Tape' - several sites list the various mix differences.

  • I think Cry Baby Cry was related to this tune.

  • @janderkin I always though of them as similar. They're also my two favorite songs off the white album.

  • I prefer this one compared to the album version, the new part near the end is sublime and Paul's bass is top - notch as usual.

  • @smilkoff what sucks is that it cuts out to 3:36 and the song faded out by then so it does not sound natural on the album version i would have cut it out to 3:13 or at-least 3:26

  • sounds like someone siply added their own bit in.....

  • fake

  • @mu301nh fake this totally legit

  • absolutely breathtaking.

  • i still jam to this

  • its a coda not a bridge

  • @raymartin10 whats a coda?

  • @TrevEdHaddCox a vocal track

  • I wouldn't have minded this bridge in the original release :)

  • sexy sadie.... this is what you'll get :]

    someone make a mash please??

  • never among my favorite Beatles songs. It does sort of foreshadow John's solo work though.

  • my heart almost stopped when that bridge came in. that was a real shocker

  • master piece

  • this song is deep, and its probably on my top favorite beatles songs, once i found out the meaning of it it meant so much to me

  • sweet piano line

  • Umm.. more like karma police sounds like this song... get your chronology straight.. :\

  • yes it sounds karma police...

  • @sushiclare Nop, Karma Police sound like Sexy Sadie!!!

  • that is surprisingly strange.... :S its on par with the final version is suppose though...

  • uh yeah, definitely out of place

  • On what album can this version be found?

  • John Lennon is a genius

  • Is this the mono version?

  • @riverdale999 this is the pre mono version the mono version cuts the coda out the stereo version has tambourine and other unknown percussion tapping after it 0:08 it is missing in this and mono as well

  • Why did they leave that final part out? =/

  • @petterr2d2 geoff emerick :D

  • no wonder they left the bridge out haha

  • George harrisons wife is a train wreck

  • @SuperEdwardfan1

George's wife is not in this. If you mean the crazed fan - Yeah She;s a wreck all right.

  • radiohead - karma police

  • @djmiraj23 Yeah the Beatles are in all!

  • @djmiraj23 Yeah.....they ripped it off and some twits think they're geniuses? Whatta crock o' shite!

  • @bluzcruz I don't think they ripped off this song, they wrote this after being ripped off themselves by the Marahishi Yogi on their trip to India. It's like a revenge song.

  • @cyphinniganlennon my comment was that Radiohead ripped off the song,,,,,and some people call them genius for doing so. The only geniuses are the Beatles here.....now and forever!

  • @bluzcruz I wouldent call it ripping off i would call it being influenced. If you take a look at radioheads paranoid android and happiness is a warm gun they dont sound the same but its basically the same song a three part song thom yorke loved the beatles and i would think was trying to show everyone how they stil are the most influenceal band out there

  • Is George using a leslie speaker on this song?

  • I just sang this song at the whisky a go go with my music school. IT was so fun :)

  • i just love this song soooo much. such an underrated song it's not even funny.

"how ever big you think you AR-R-R-R-R-RE"

  • Then & now....soooo original & STILL managed to sell a lot of plastic

    Never again

  • Thanks for posting! That guitar at the end just moves ya.

  • thats a damn cool bridge

  • well i love it.

  • Thank Satan they left that bridge out.

  • susan atkins

  • maharishi yogi

  • different bridge starts at 2:58

  • It is gorgeous to me!!!, how can my friend genglemt say that it seem loosing the direction ..... "this bridge are the same chords in :58-1:10 and 1:58-2:08 ...... just listen carefully...... they really knew what they were doing..... !!!!

  • doesnt seem so much a bridge as it does an intentional f#ck up, its definitely for the best that it was left out.

  • pretty cool surprise in there!

  • Interesting! In a way I agree with the decision to take the part out. It does seem to loose direction. On the other hand, I just wish the song would go on forever, instead of fading out, as both this and the official album version does.

  • John was right.

    Sexy Sadie was a con.

    p;

  • Where did you take this from?? I had not heard it before!

  • Hardly a bridge - just an extended ending. But I haven't heard this before, so thanks for posting!

  • Lennon genial como siempre!!

  • this song is awesome!
