I've tested 1-lane PCIe 2.0 USB 3.0 cards and got 140MB/s throughput with 2TB Black Caviars in USB 3.0 enclosures. What I am really curious about though, if anyone tried a fast 6G SSD drive over USB 3.0. These benchmark around 420MB/s over 6G SATA, and I'd *love* to know how it runs over USB 3.0.

Great for USB 3.0 devices no doubt. but the room (slot/s) needed. Always an issue, give and take.
