Hey dude. This is wierd question, but I have the new macbook pro and it has like 4gb of ram, and 2.5 ghz duo processor. it has the dual video card thing and i was woundering if it'll run like above at least 50fps on high settings. It has GeForce 9400M with 128mb shared memory and Geforce 9600GT with 512mb of dedicated graphics memory. So, will it run. The reason Im asking this because i boguht COD4 and even thoguht my computer exceed the recomended game requirment it still runs like crap.

if you get the mac pro you can put any high end GPU in and Nvidia i heard are going to be releasing a GPU card just for macs and not make a PC version of it, it will give the best crisp quailty for gaminig etc

maybe, but why would Nvidia do that? PC cards are their largest source of revenue, and not many people who own macs are serious gamers and therefore would not buy a video card so why would Nvidia do something that would cost them more than they would make?

I can run doom 3 on maximum settings with 16x AA, no lag at all, i got an X800XT PE, its not my computer thats slow, its just windows :p, i mean i can run Oblivion on all max settings to, probs better if i had Linux and if Oblivion worked in linux.

yea, microsoft kinda sucks when it comes to the speed of their OS, it uses the CPU to process damn near everything. they should make it so that the drivers for our video cards send all of the graphical, along with some of the other stuff, to the GPU and free up the CPU for more important things.
