definitely not true....two factors are playing into my decision...1 is that it takes a very long time to eat an animal as large as that gator, so in the process of swallowing it, if what you say is true, the gator would have woken up before being completely consumed and not have made it all the way to the stomach.....2nd and probably less fact based, and more COMMON SENSE based, than my first argument, is that imagine you were the gator and you "woke up" in the stomach of something else!!!

I heard that alligators/crocs have a unique emune system for combating bacteria in its environment. This combined with the snakes stomack acids is what caused the snake to explode. Not instantly ofcourse, they both die in the process.

The snake didn't blow up lol...the gator tore out of the snakes stomach...gators getting constricted by a snake are able to slow there heart beat down to 2/3 beats per min, snakes thinks its dead starts to swallow, gator recovers no longer being contricted now half way in the snake...not good for snake

The snake didn't explode lol...when a snake constricts around your upper body it will crush you doing your heart...the problem with alligators is that they are able to slow there heart beat down to a couple beats per min...so the snake thinks it's dead starts to swallow the alligator if the alligator recovers and is already half way or completely inside the snake it devastating to the snake, think about a alligator waking up thrashing around in your stomach lol...the alligator tear out

Their uniform is very distinctive. There are no hippos in Florida, excepting maybe a zoo or two. There are, however, both alligators and crocodiles. Yes, the first slide looks a little like a hippo - probably because of the poor quality image, but why the hell would they lie about that?

I love snakes. I grew up with them. I had about 10 snakes from the time I was born till around 12-13. Very beautiful creatures. But they can be deadly if you don't respect them. Weird enough though when I was really young I tortured them(3-4 years old) but they never bit me. But they hated my father. My father almost drowned one of them because it bit him and then would not let go. I have never understood that as I did all kinds of cruel things to them when I was really young but never got bit.

Even an adult anaconda (if existing in the same habitat) would think twice before taking on a grown bull gator. But the point is moot since only caymans, not gators, live in the amazon river basin. Also, there have been no reports of any anacondas in the Everglades, thankfully. If there were any here's hoping our freeze last winter killed them.
