I love this interview! But of course, this was pre-Amy. I love that Jim suspects there will be someone for Sheldon eventually. Of course, my opinion is the most unpopular here. Most of those that view this video are Shenny shippers and I HIGHLY respect your opinions regarding that ship. I just love how Jim knows his character well, and, uhm, some people just don't.

Jim only looks on the surface of Sheldon/Penny. I don't think he realizes the fact that they're exact opposites is why they work so well together & despite their differences, they learn to accept/tolerate each other at the end of the day. It would be both cute & funny to have Sheldon actually come to realize that he has feelings for someone. It wouldn't be just like any typical love cause well, it's Sheldon. I can just imagine his reaction & how he handles it, especially if it were w/ Penny.

I think Sheldon is not a virgin, he is so innocent and naive. I wouldn't be surprised if a vixen from his university (or when he was a teenager studying abroad) seduced a still human, hormone driven Sheldon. He is so clueless still in the sitcom, he would be even more (and clumsy) when teenager. Probably he was the first one of the boys to lose it and it went wrong or he just realized it was not his thing after all.

@MaskofTheMoon Yeah that's what I wrote when he was a teenager studying abroad between parenthesis, I don't know to what university he went, and after that he did his masters and his PhD, it could have well been the same university or a different one (he said he went to Germany once and got sick there) He could have been between 15 or 17 years old, so who knows.

I read him as someone who pretty much lived in his own world when younger, so seduction would have been impossible; he would have to have an active interest in somebody to even vaguely recognise that they were attracted to him (in whatever manner) and I genuinely think that only now that he is more aware of others could there any possibility of a relationship - whatever that means for him.

@musical3lottie Well, he IS human. Even if he didn't see it that way (being hormone ridden), like Amy says "it's pretty much high-wired into our DNA". It's not exactly as being horny as realizing he is a human being. But who knows, the writers insist he is just for science, but they really don't tell us why, people just assume he is asexual but as far as I know, not even the writers have said that. They are awfully vague and I think there is a reason for that.

For the "nature" of Sheldon that would be more than weird, but as Jim says that suspects "it's gonna happen, Sheldon and the "special lady", and I'm sure of it. L&P have a null chemistry and they're romance its just boring and predictable. The best scenes happen when S&P are togheter, which have an impressive chemistry, a "romance" between them would be EXPLOSIVE. That's why in this last season they're "separate". Even I like Amy, I don't like that she is who's going to use the frying pan... :(

as much as i absolutely love the fan art, the fan videos, and the general concept of sheldon/penny i think it would ruin it if they actually "got together" on the show. the best couples are the ones with all the chemistry and tension but nothing ever actually happens. it's great when the writers play on this though with all the looks and moments between them... fan art/video fodder :P

What's interesting is that the relation between S&P evolved since 2009 (date of this vid). I'm sure that, at the beginning of the show, they never had the idea of S&P, but now that a lot of people (including me) are going crazy about those two, they've been making Shenny episode after Shenny episode. Even when she was with Leonard. Can anyone remember an important scene between P&L? While S&P ...

Maybe the writers don't want to exploit S&P, but they sure know how to tease us! "Is that my arm?"
