hey gavin, first I would like to thank you for your videos, really helpful. My question has to do with cleaning the primer seat of fired brass or (more to the point) why you don't clean the primer seats? Some guys recommend it, just would like your take on it, thanks again......Fred
Have you made any mods to your #1 shellplate to get it to eject .45 ACP correctly? I ordered mu press from Sinclair and bought the #1 shellplate to load .45 ACP. When I got the press I noticed the manuel showed #45 for 45 ACP and now I'm having issues with it ejecting completed rounds. About half hang-up and I have to manually remove it. Awesome video!
10 Stars!! Great and informative video here. Man, I've been doing it the hard way (single stage RCBS) nearly 20yrs and I just dont have the time to handle and re-handle the same brass multiple times just to get one loading out of it anymore. I'm way past overdue for one of these things. I am concerned however that the most recent Midway rated comments on this particular unit are pretty poor and seem to suggest the Hornady quality isn't as up to snuff anymore. Hope that's not the case now.
Here is probably one of the most important questions for you. After you've done all this what does a reloaded bullet cost you vs what retail bullet cost you? Forgetting your time and equipment setup how much can one actually save? Seems like by the time you factor back in your personal time alone you wouldn't be saving that much unless you are running a business out of it or shooting quite frequently.
Excellent video! I really appreciate the work you have done here and on your web site. I would enjoy seeing the reloading rhythm without the automatic case feeder. I'll check your other videos.
I, personally would have no qualms about purchasing/firing your reloads, although i know it's not safe to sell reloads, too much risk involved. Just sayin..
Yes, Hornady products are covered for life, great customer service.
Between the LNL AP and the XL650, can you be more specific in terms of the quantity of calibers, and the frequency/quantity of rounds you'll be loading? How about your budget? That will help me be more prescriptive in my guidance. Thanks.
That is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. What a machine to reload ammunition. How much is the whole set-up? I might be able to afford it. But I don't know how to set it up. I need someone to mount the whole thing. I have a Lee-turret press. I'm a beginner back in 2007. I reload about 120 rounds every night. the process is slow, but the set up I have is quite satisfactory for my needs. Thank you for the video. Very informative and high resolution.
This is a great video and very well done. It is just hard to comprehend when you are stuck on a Dillon and then your mindset if you will has to change. May I ask how much a setup like this costs? Keep up the good work.
The press itself costs about $400. online. Don't forget you get 1000 free bullets! If you get 45 cal XTP bullets, that's about a $200 value in itself! You'll need dies and a shellplate for each caliber you load.
how much does that fuckin thing cost?

I noticed that your press is not attached to the table. What stand are you using to elevate the press?? It seems to provide a very stable base.

If you use your own brass you'll save 10-20 cents a bullet

Does the press have life time warranty? Between this press and the Dillion 650, which one do you recommend? Thanks.
