That is why i use compact steps, so the staircase is shorter than 2 miles.

Yo. If you want to use half steps, you must make your step way at a 2 to 1 ratio. So, two out, one down. If you use the block steps (which would apply perfectly to your scenario, you just need to make sure that they are walled off on each side or else they will flip around like you experienced.

You should probably just cut out the first part of these vids where you're doing prep work to get started. Primarily because you're on a time limit of 15 minutes and you should make the best use of that time as you can.

Half steps only work on a ramp with a gradient of 1/2. Your ramp has a gradient of 1. You should just use full steps (and dig every layer back one unit so that the stairs aren't sticking out over the glass, unless, of courst, you'd want them to).

Do steps like yours but have 2squares per jump and then put your half steps on the square that you jump and then you should just walk up and down them with out jumping. This will also exstend your stairs alot

you have to elongate the steps and infront of every non half step, you have to destroy the step infront of them and replace it with anothe rhalf sterp and repeat the process, so your steps will...double or something in length

in order to make the steps work you need to make it so you have to blocks the same length in your situation make the second step the same height as the bottom step and then place the half step on top of the bottom step and so on and so forth.
