Larrys one of the all time greats! We grew up listening to SD as little kids 13 and it got me playing Guitar,Still playing !40 years later. Thx Larry from England.
The thing that blows me away is not that he knows how to play it so well. The fact that he is so conscious about everything he is doing, to the point that he can verbalize his reasoning even while playing, is astonishing to me.
Larry, you are the BEST! No one has better phrasing and sense of "less is more" or what is exactly appropriate for a given measure. You are the master. Shredders come and go (ho-hum), styles come and go, but no one on the planet can bring out emotion in a song as good as you. Thank you for sharing your gift so humbly. You are a rock star, but you are so gentle and meek--my hero!
Thanks for your input. That was a ridiculous statement on my part. I meant to say "no one on the planet can bring ourt emotion in a song BETTER than you."
I am a Peter Green, Gary Moore, Alvin Lee fan in in the highest order. I do listen to BB and Albert and Muddy and many others. Of course they are all masters of emotion and tone. Thanks for correcting me. I did not express what I should have said.
Well Berry, your cousin singlehandedly got me playing again with his acoustic albums. I had had a drug problem and gave up playing guitar, couldn't figure out how it could incorporate into my life, then those two albums showed up with so much beauty and fire and through it all he sounds so kind. I spent many a night woodshedding along with Larry.

CLEARLY, this demonstrates the concept that 'less' IS 'more'.

I personally recommended for my cousin to do this. Man it's so nice being the relative of the greatest guitarist on earth! :-)
