  • Btw, please don't think that I actually disagree with fruits or consuming many raw fruits. I think it depends on the individual, and I personally love fruits. My perfect lunch is a combination of raw fruits and raw nuts. Also, one thing that people often forget is that many "vegetables" we eat ARE FRUITS. Squashes, tomatoes, eggplants and other are culinary speaking vegetables, but they ARE fruits. "Vegetable" is a culinary term, not a science based (biology based) term.

  • @natyanayaki Good to know you enjoy eating fruit. You might want to try eating your raw nuts separately or at a meal with vegetables because fats digest so much more slowly than fruit and can cause digestive issues when combined. :0)

  • @rawsynergytv Simple combinations work with most people, but because of my bodies chemistry I need complex food combinations in order to feel satisfied, energized and to be free of digestive issues.

  • Also, based on your "scientific" analysis one could argue "why not just eat white table sugar?" that after all is the easiest to process. Having said that, your personal reasons are compelling, and I have NO DOUBT that for some people your diet plan would be ideal.

  • @natyanayaki Thank you for sharing. There's no comparison between fruit & table sugar. There's a lot of misconception about fruit sugar causing energy spikes, however, it's been known since the 1920's that too much fat in the bloodstream creates those spikes when sugar is introduced. That's why people like me who eat mostly fruit & little to no fat, have even energy levels all day long & those with diabetes lower, or eliminate, their medication. If doctors shared this information the'd go broke.

  • @rawsynergytv You're right to point out that refined table sugar is far more easily and quickly absorbed than the fructose found in fruits, but you're wrong that there is no comparison. The campaign which started in the 20s (and especially in the 50s) against fat is inaccurate. While too much fat is unhealthy, fats are needed to absorb nutrients from (plant) food. The past anti-fat sentiment and the current anti-carb sentiment are both dangerous, balance is the key.

  • @natyanayaki That's the nice thing about fruits & vegetables...they all contain a certain amount of fat. When eating a balanced ratio of fruits & vegetables, you get all the fat you need in exactly the right proportions. I log my food intake into Cron-O-Meter daily & it shows I'm getting plenty of healthy fat. Not only that, I'm hitting all my other nutrient markers as well, protein, vitamins, minerals. However, I always recommend people get blood tests to be sure. :0)

  • @rawsynergytv Yeah, blood tests are important. :-)

  • @rawsynergytv A diet with too little, or not fat will result in a diet with little to no nutrients. In most situations, if people are eating only fruits and are not suffering from sugar highs and lows, it is probably because they are unable to absorb much of the nutrients in the food. Fruits are used when Type I diabetics reach BS lows, because of how fast acting the fructose in fruits are.

  • @natyanayaki I completely respect your right to accept that information as being accurate however, my personal experience, as well as the experience of countless others following this lifestyle, proves otherwise.

  • @rawsynergytv It just proves that the lifestyle is working for them, it's not an indication that it'll work for everyone. Anyway, it was the incorrect analysis of the science that I wanted to point out. Just because digesting a certain food is easy, it does not mean that the left over energy is enough, especially if the energy derived from the food -the fuel- is inadequate for the specific individual.

  • Additionally, simple sugars don't "leave our bodies free" to do other activities well, or easily. Each individual is different but for many people it'll result in extreme spikes of energy and extreme lows of energy. The energy "used" to process more complex sugars is exactly what gives us more stable levels of energy, in order to maintain activity.

  • I've got to say that your interpretation of the science is kind of off. While our bodies do need sugar, the reason most scientists recommend "veggies" over fruits is because of nature of our lifestyles in general. Sugary or sweet fruits give easy sugar, great for a more immediate power boost and great for people who have active lives; however, for individuals who may not have such active lives the complex carbs are necessary because in processing those foods our bodies burn energy.

  • @MagickalBiker I noticed the same when I was raw, I had crazy dreams, I guess it is because your mind is adapting to the change. I am hoping to become raw vegan forever

  • I love love love organic fruits!!! However, Im not sold on frutarianism or eating too much fruit. What do you think would happen to a Diabetic or a person with major Candida? Sugar = Deadly Even Fructose!! btw really liked this video :)

  • @TheRiverofBelief All of my friends who are diabetic & follow this diet have either lowered their medication dramatically or gotten rid of it completely. Candida usually clears up within a week or so if fat is entirely removed from the diet for a couple of weeks, unless there's a deeper underlying issue. Remember, fruit sugar is not the same as processed sugar & has a completely different effect. Hope this helps. Thank you very much for all your kind words. I really appreciate it!

  • This woman seems like she's got no energy at all. This will not only draw people away from eating raw food, but will leave them disgusted at the thought of it. She speaks like some anorexic - barely pushes words out of her mouth.

  • @zaika1982 Her skin is radiant and her demeanour is calm and peaceful. You are making a biased harsh judgement on someone you do not know - I can only assume you have major issues!

  • your one of my favourite youtube channels, always so inspiring, knowledgable, and great to watch!

  • ONE LAST THING...I THINK YOUR EPIC NATURE IS REVEALED IN THE LIKE BUTTON...HOW MANY PEOPLE GET 58 LIKES AND ZERO DISLIKES ON A 1000 VIEW VIDEO... CONSISTENTLY LIKE YOU ALICIA, ALMOST NO ONE....AND THAT'S YOUR DEAL ALICIA, YOU ARE A FULL BLOWN EXAMPLE OF QUALITY OVER QUANTITY....BECAUSE HALF OF YOUR VIDEOS ARE ABOUT THE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND THE OTHER HALF IS THE ENCOUNTER OF WHAT A SUPER KIND AND REASONABLE PERSON YOU ARE.

  • @whothehellgivesadamn Thank you so much. I'm always very grateful for your kind, uplifting words. :0)

  • 4. I DO GET INTO SITUATIONS THAT ARE VERY DEMANDING PHYSICALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY AND THERE IS WHERE I FIND THE NEED FOR A BROAD CROSS SECTION OF MINERALS IN THE DIET, BUT I DON'T TAKE PILLS OR VITAMINS ON ANY KIND OF REGULAR BASIS.

    5. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN IN EXCELLENT HEALTH..I'VE NEVER KNOWN ANY HEALTH PROBLEMS.

    6. THE POINT BEING, ITS IMPORTANT TO ESTABLISH AIMS BUT LET YOUR MIND AND BODY WORK OUT THE DETAILS. IF YOU CRAVE SOMETHING, EAT IT AND LET NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE AS YOUR DIET EVOLVES

  • WOW, THAT WAS GREAT..

    1. I STARTED TRANSITIONING INTO A VEGETARIAN DIET AT 17, BY THE TIME I WAS 18 I HAD A BROAD EDUCATION ABOUT DIET, WHICH BACK THEN CAME FROM THE NATURAL HYGIENE ASSOC., WHICH ADVOCATED A RAW, FRUITARIAN LEANING DIET.

    2. I INCORPORATED ALL THAT KNOWLEDGE INTO A LOW HASSLE VEGETARIAN DIET, WHICH WAS MOSTLY VEGAN...I DEFINITELY WASN'T HIGH RAW, BUT I UNDERSTOOD THE VALUE OF CONSUMING FOODS IN THEIR NATURAL STATE.

    3. SO EVERYTHING YOU'VE SAID MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ME.

  • Thanks for the replies about vinegar...very interesting. Personally, although I am intrigued by the raw apple cider vinegar cures, I finally realized I can't tolerate vinegar; it gives me heartburn :-)) On another note, I just love the line below that 'grains are what farms use to fatten up pigs and cattle'. That is so great! I have a lot of trouble resisting grains and this line will surely help me.

  • I am sorry but eating only 'mature' fruit which contains lots of sugar is not a balance meal. You 'r missing lots of aminos, enzymes, vitamin. etc... that you get from grains, veggies, sprouts etc.... an some supplements.

  • ato HAPPYARTIST- if you eat bean sprouts, ancient grain (amaranth, quinoa, millet etc), wheatgrass (drink) and lots of different vegetable -most of them raw-plenty of different fruits (in balance) all organic, seaweed and algae, and some supplements B12, etc you will be ok if you don't eat meat or fish or milk or eggs since some vitamins are only found in animal food.

  • Omg dont use wikipedia as a source! I mean, it is just laughable to use wikipedia!

    Anyjacama, luv the vid :D

  • do you know a website that sales bananas in bulk or do you how i can buy bananas in bulk

  • @marcus23332333 I don't know of any websites but most stores will sell you a case of bananas for at least 10% less. If you search around, you may find some places that will sell you their very ripe bananas super cheap. Also, look for local wholesale fruit distributors in your area online. You might find something that way. Wishing you great luck finding the perfect place to buy. :0)

  • @MagickalBiker Sometimes I have this sleep issue also! I find regular exercise makes a big difference but also taking the time to wind down before bed with less stimulating activities helps too. TV, computer's, bright lights & the like are very stimulating & can keep the brain & the body's energy active. So reading, listening to soothing music, gentle stretches & dimming the lights can help the body get into a sleepy, relaxed mode. Not sure what to do about the crazy dreams. I have them too! :0)

  • vegan people CAN be 'heavy' if they eat lost of carbs... and sugars. it

been heavy has to do with following a balanced meal, foods not too much fruit -sugars- (eat always organic and natural) vegetables, and careful with beans and or high carbs foods like potatoes, rice pasta etc... you will be heavy if you eat lost of these.

  • @medinalba I agree, vegan people can be heavy, especially if they consume a lot of junk food and grains. Grains are what farms use to fatten up pigs and cattle. However, fruit doesn't fall into this category. If it did, my friends and I would all have weight issues from eating a diet that consists of mostly fruit. :0)

  • Inspirational! Thank you!

  • Inspirational! Thank you!

  • Great video as always.

  • im a regular meat and potatoes girl, ive been interested in going vegetarian (which i have been but failed by getting sick from doing it improperly...) then to vegan then raw (ease into it) but i have been nervous to try again because giving up meat caused health issues in me. you inspire me to try again. i love your videos. any tips to transision from one to the next to the next?

  • @HappiArtist That's awesome! Just go at your own pace and move forward when you feel ready. Eat high carb and low fat, no matter what you're eating, raw or cooked. Try low fat, raw vegan recipes if you feel inspired to do so and have fun with it. Join some lfrv forums for friendship, support and a wealth of information. I have many of them posted on the links page of my website. Wishing you much success on your journey. :0)

  • Thank you for inspiring videos! This is really helping me with the beginning of my raw food journey, I was so confused by "he said, she said" but this seems right! I feel that i'm on the right track after watching your video :) Xo

  • How come 1000% of the long term fruity vegans are TRIM? lol!

If people are fat on this lifestyle after 5 years, they are obviously eating some nasty stuff!

  • @MagickalBiker

Yes nuts are very good for you before you go to bed...also, some other nuts if you know what I mean :) hehehehehe.

  • Great video... as usual. Thx!

  • THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I EAT. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. THANK YOU.

  • Another great video! Is your husband raw? I'm really struggling with my husband not being interested in raw- he is supportive but it's still very difficult. Any advice on this would be so much appreciated.

  • @Missrosebud29 Thank you! He eats a high raw diet and is vegan but he has some cooked food. I'll do a video on how to deal with this issue. Before my husband became vegan, it was difficult for me too. It's awesome your husband is supportive, some people don't even have that. Because it was so difficult, I told my husband if he wanted cooked food he would need to prepare it & do the clean up. Then we had Whole Foods do the cooking & still do when he wants pasta. :0)

  • Also try the channel for Dr.Robert Morse for why the fruits are soooo good:).

  • @cheleyish Very true! I love Dr. Morse! :0)

  • ♡ Thank you Darling ♡

I really believe what you are saying is the ultimate diet for everyone!

Is your man a raw vegan too?

  • @WhiteTimeHealing You're welcome! :0) He is vegan and eats a high raw diet. He follows the 80/10/10 philosophy eating a lot of carbs and very little fat.

  • Great vid. Tx!

  • thankyou for the info

  • i'm a vegetarian, but watching this made me decide on eating a healthy fruit snack rather than a few cookies. :)

  • Great Video!!

  • I love fruits. Weeeeeee!

  • Thank you so much for sharing!

  • Great video, very well explained, thanks

  • Well I only know that if I up my bananas in my green smoothie from 1.5 to 4 or 5 my head spins for almost 2 hours afterwards so I figure I cant handle all that fructose

  • @tbayguy Yes, it took me a long time to increase my fruit intake, especially bananas. I just kept increasing the amount a little at a time. I would go weeks or months at a certain amount and then increase when I felt ready. Just do what feels comfortable for you and keep your fat intake very low because too much will definitely affect your blood sugar.

  • @rawsynergytv thank you for the reply and the information :)

  • another great video...thank you :)

  • YAY PIZZA IS A VEGGIE! YES!!!!!......just kidding just saying that is just plain ridiculous. Great video! Your such an inspiration!

  • Nice video. Good information, especially for people who are in the transition phase - people need to know that the cravings for certain things will go away eventually.

  • Thanks for the video.

  • I really enjoyed your video. I would like to know did you take any herbs in the beginning of your raw food journey to help the detox symptoms.

  • @ebonybeautyful I didn't take any herbs. I think it's best just to let the detox run its course. Otherwise, I feel like herbs might suppress the symptoms and then they'll just come up again later. I don't know for sure though. :0)

  • thanks for another great video, and answering my question by video. Lots of love, I've been on this for 2 weeks now almost completely 100 % and you are right, one day at work I had pizza, and paid for it for over 24 hours via my digestion and bloating. So doing mono meals and seeing how you feel DOES make you not want to reach for the bad things. Thanks for all the inspiration.

  • @ningram4 You're welcome! Happy to help. :0)

  • This was a great video! I know exactly what your talking about when you were talking about eating cooked vegetables I had a plate of cooked vegetables on thursday and I felt terrible It really did feel like I had a cold my throat was externally swollen and my nose was runny but then I had about 2 liters of kale and apple smoothy and it helped so much Im still getting over it today but at least now I know what I can and cant eat.

  • Just found this out the other day, fructose doesnt require insulin to transport it into the cells.

  • i wish i had as much will power as you..

  • You so awesome love you :D <3

  • Also, I'm thinking that the sugar in fruits is fructose? Which must eventually break down into glucose? I get all my 'oses' confused!

  • @KLC8158 Yes, fruit sugar is fructose and breaks down into glucose. Everything we eat has to be broken down into glucose in order to be utilized by the body. :0)

  • Hi, I am wondering why, if vinegar is so bad for you, there are so many cures using raw apple cider vinegar. If you go to Curezone for example, there are tons of testimonies about all the things it helps, from stomach problems to skin issues to even arthritis, I believe. I think I even read that Hippocrates used to take it :-) So I'm wondering why Dr. Graham would say it's toxic to the human body.

  • @KLC8158 I think it's possible in small doses, taken short term, it can have a positive effect but for long term use on a regular basis it can be damaging. Before going raw, I used to take ACV from time to time to help with stomach acid issues. However, after avoiding it all this time, now when I take the slightest whiff of vinegar, my gag reflex kicks in and my body tells me very clearly to avoid it. Consistency87 is right on as well. :0)

  • Great topic : D

  • You're so sweet (like fruit)! I really enjoy your channel! Thank you! Happy Holydays!
