I forgot I had one of these laying around somewhere. I've heard that it says on the instructions that your supposed to wash it first before use. Someone on one of the other videos explained that they put some type of chemical in it before it ships to prevent it from absorbing things before you get your hands on it, hence the strong smell when you first open it, who knows what it would touch in a warehouse or whatever. I'll try it out soon as I find it and let you know if its true.

@redlinechavez well, if it was dry, it won't work. according to this lady. it seems to work at least somewhat. of course, with the carpet demo: many carpets have padding that goes underneath, while others have wooden flooring underneath. the only place i can think of that would have a hard solid surface under the carpet like hers did would be a basement....

most people arn't using them right, you've really got to get them semi damp first, they dont seem to "super absorb" right out of the package.. you know when they look like a space cracker.

run it through the washing machine a few times till it gets soft and pliable.

lol they do work, Maybe its not a miracle, but they do absorb better then paper towels, bath towels and all that.

but a regular old semi damp sponge works best on soaking up stains,

They really suck right out of the package when they are sorta "cracker" like.
