  • I like how they had a Mexican-looking actor do landscaping.

  • If you find this offensive get off the Internet

  • i am gay and i don't find offensive. i just think it is funny how people are finally comfortable enough to see gay men in commercials but are still too uncomfortable to make them realistic. we still don't want gay men to be intimidating or serious; they have to be the ones with ridiculous voices that no real person actually has.

  • awesome commercial!!

  • Lmao! I love stereotypical gays!!!

  • haha that was an actual funny commercial... what the fuck?

  • Gay!!!

  • don't get it.

  • @vespers119 The guy cutting the leaves was getting turned on by the Doritos. When his wife came over, she thought he was getting turned on by the gay couple EATING the Doritos. So, not only would he be cheating, he'd be cheating with two other men. It's a misunderstanding.

  • That was excellently done! Love it! :)

  • That was funny! LOL!! Love my Queenz!

  • Looks like some of us are Doritosexual.

  • The guy with the hat is sexy as can be. Always a joke isn't it, that a guy might find another guy's body worth looking at. Gay? Not the issue.

  • I missed this during the SB. Did it air in the "conservative" United States??

  • @beegbolt You're probably right.

  • I'm gay and proud--and I laughed my ass off at this. Very funny!

  • LOL

  • Ugh to the gay stereo typing.

  • @motorfingaz Where's the stereotyping...I see none. Calm down.

  • teehee ^^

  • Omg!!!

  • NOOOO! The empty calories. D:

  • funny, but obviously stereotyping the gay guys

  • The "straight" guy wanted to be spit roasted by the two stereotypical gays and only used the doritos as a diversion so his wife wouldn't suspect anything.

  • I'm a doritosexual...so.....

  • Hilarious :)

  • mmmm lets buy some doritos!!!!!!!! xD

  • XD That was hilarious.

  • Its a cute commercial

  • no guy striaght or gay stares at a bowl of chips like that. the dark haired guy is cute though.

  • I don't get it, someone explain?

  • @whysorussian his girlfriend and the gay neighbours thought he was checking out them in their swinsuits by the pool, but he was really looking at the doritos.

  • where are there stereotypes in here?

  • Comment removed

  • the main one is the efemanant sounding guy.

  • I think the moral of the story is doritos are so sexy they make you question your sexuality.

  • Where's the Doritos option under 'Sexuality' on Facebook?

  • I'm a gay man and I did not find this insulting. I thought it was hilarious! lol

  • The woman is hideous...no wonder he's checking out the hot guys!!!!

  • That was so hilarious. Because he really want chips. Get it? And it insulted mexicans and gays. I love it!

  • Pretty insulting for a gay man...not cool.

  • popazz1 your comment obviously says something about you

  • @kilercan93 ,

    Whatever,pal,WHATEVER!

  • That was funny.

  • Well, some gay guys do act like this so big deal. Just relax and laugh.

  • @ghrpdx haha i agree, I've met plenty that are like this, its no big deal

  • okay im gay and i thought this was funny guys chilllllaxxx jesus christ dont be so over sensitive being gay doesnt define you

  • @esmith4646 LOL You don't mind because you probably are the stereotype. Most aren't thought.

  • @Cerulean0987 im actually opposite of the sterotype when i tell ppl theyre usually shocked and suprised... i just think ppl r 2 hype bout things

  • @Cerulean0987:

The Monkees - Daydream Believer - one of the very few vids in your channel - "never" worked with stereotypes of course.....

Why are many Ameri-cunts so silly, hypocritical + bigoted, even some gay Americans. Half of Europe laughs about Ameri-cunt yokel silliness....in 10 or 20 years China will have bought all your government bonds + the you´re NUTHIN anymore !

I am gay, but i prefer other "problems" than silly America "has"....

  • @esmith4646 I felt the same way. I laughed so hard when I saw this. (I'm gay as well)

  • @esmith4646 Im gay also and I thought this was funny too. Its usually the gay politico activist who get all crazzzaaa when shit like this is done.

It's not because they truly find it offensive, its because they are bored.

  • terrible use of stereotypes

  • Umm, but gays do sit by pools and gossip.. what the real problem is, are those non non-fat doritos they're eating..

  • @peterpan6:

You have an OWN "DYNASTY" upload IN YOUR CHANNEL, one of the silliest series with lots of terrible stereotypes that has ever been on TV, purest TRASH !

Humor often works WITH stereotypes (but not with such silly ones like "Dynasty" + "stereotypes" are also often THE elements of more "sophisticated" satire.

  • @MrSKINFLICK Dynasty was one of the first tv shows to use an openly gay character in a non stereotypical way. and this was in 1979!

The overall campness of the show is just an extra bonus.

  • @peterpan6:I suggest you visit Richard Branson+book a flight to Mars in Spaceship XY - with no guarantee of return, because you´re pretty humorless+don´t seem to understand how people actually ARE on this planet. I guess you´re a nerd+very boring+in extreme cases you like to slander people. All very poor ! I guess you´re an overweight queen who doesn´t like the fascinating sexy physiques of the guys in the video...you´re an envious stereotype + then come along with "stereotypes", ha ha.

  • There is one thing that I never understood in this commercial: One of the guys reaches in the bag for chips when there's a whole bowl full of them next to him. I don't get it.

  • @riddick0846 its product placement, you notice the bag more if he reaches in and grabs one, worked too didn't it.

  • @Fireflygamer Hmm. I suppose you're right.

  • @Fireflygamer:

I´m more here for the sexy chaps + the oversexed guy + the silly look of his clueless "wife", there are many bisexual guys who cheat their wives with men, thank god ! I´m really not here to watch the doritos, i don´t eat such trash !

  • like those guys eat Doritos, off for a high colonic right after they shot this add

  • does anyone who are the actors, especially the str8 guy cutting the grass???

  • those are some damn tasty doritos :I

  • I'm outraged!!! This spot is flawed!! Just look at the hairdo of the right guy changing from 00:18 to 00:19. A serious lack of continuity!!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my goodness Hahahaahaha

  • i don't understand, told me what?

  • @cme98 the "straight" guy is gay, but he really isn't. he just wanted the doritos but the gay guys thought their assumption of him being gay was true.

  • @cme98 The one with the hedgeclippers was trimming his hedge... and he saw the bag of doritos. When his girlfriend/wife came along, she looked at him weird, but only because it looked like he was drolling over the gay men over by the pool, when he was actually drooling over the Doritos. So, his wife made an assumption he was gay, the gay guys had a plan to find out if the one with the hedgeclippers was gay, OR, they were trying to see if they could get a straight man to drool their way..

  • Told you so mhmm. . . .

  • ol

  • You like to watch well hung men in tight tights grabbing each other : Watch the SuperBowl

  • It's not okay for Jynx or Mr. Popo (Pokemon and Dragonball Z respectively) to have black faces and red lips (Japanese creations, by the way) but it's perfectly fine to perpetuate gay stereotypes during the most heavily watched event in the US...

  • Funny. Did this really air?

  • @tyleroakley should've been in this commercial.

  • @Hahntin989 Does he eat doritos?

  • @JimHinCO They are his boyfriend. Search "tyler oakley boyfriend" in the youtube search bar. Pssst it's a joke

  • @Hahntin989 SO true. Instantly made me think of Tyler.

  • @3FromTheOutside ...If everything in this commercial was the same except that the two gay men spoke and waved like the average, unassuming straight man (waving in a more fluid, less dramatic fashion and speaking in low-pitched, neutral voices), you'd log on here to find the brain-dead masses having a heated, endless, and completely serious debate over whether or not the men were actually supposed to be gay. "They're just friends! Sitting intimately close to one another in skimpy swimwear!"

  • LOL =)

  • The cowards that put this garbage on the air do so because they want so desperately to perpetuate the LIE that most gay men are effeminate, but are utterly afraid to air two masculine gay men together in any advertisement because we frighten them to their very core. This so-called humor is just an outrage instead!!!

  • @3FromTheOutside I definitely agree that the media perpetuates gay stereotypes, but the majority of people are so thick-headed that they NEED to see the two dudes waving flamboyantly and speaking with lisps in order to pick up the implication that they're supposed to be gay. Of course, if the media hadn't drilled these stereotypes into people's heads in the first place, Frito-Lay wouldn't need to rely on them, but it's weird...

  • @3FromTheOutside I counter your outrage with the observation that effeminacy in men is a reality (in both straight and gay men) and it is certainly nothing to attach value to, either positive or negative, one way or the other. I am gay and just as pleased to see a n effeminate gay man represented as a masculine one. What the hell problem do you have with effeminacy in males?

  • That was great. So funny.

  • I'm Gay and I love Doritos. Not all the time though. The commercial is funny.

  • XD Everyone just needs to chill and enjoy the commercial. I'm gay, and I did not find this offensive.

  • What I Find so funny about this is the actor playing "Tom " is real life gay and the two queens by the pool are real life STR8! So hows that for advertising jokes !

  • Not sure why people get so upset over stereotypes? Stereotypes are true, and there is nothing wrong with it. Some gays are butch, some or not. Some Jews are cheap, some are not, Some blacks are good at sports some are not. And so on for every group. By not accepting this people for what they are makes you the bigot, not the commericial. This commercial is not mocking them they are just them. Lighten up people there are bigger issues in the world.

  • @TheAmericanEgyption1 not cool

  • that was hilarious! very stereotypical but still pretty funny!

  • can u get anymore stereotypical ?

  • Fuck, let's just keep dragging out those gay stereotypes, shall we? Dismal.

  • @popazz1 And yet your top favorite on your channel is a twinkie boy wearing nothing but a blue Speedo while lying on a bed playing with his erection. But that's not some "gay stereotype", is it? The only thing "dismal" here is your "I'm-so-superior" hypocrisy. A cute commercial with some queeny guys doesn't offend me. But a 51 year-old saving a near naked teen boy fondling himself on their YouTube channel is embarrassing, and makes it hard for gays to counter homophobes who call us perverts.

  • @joebenevides ,

Aw,do you feel better for that little tirade,do you?! How is it for you,up there on your moral highground?! So,just WHY is it unacceptable for me,a 51 year old man,to find a

  • @popazz1 ,LEGAL teenage male attractive? You appear to be the one with the issue about this seeing as you chose to bring it up! You're the one implying that there's something 'perverted' about it.Maybe check your own conscience, yeah.

  • @popazz1 Then why did you remove it? It's your hypocrisy of finding a silly, harmless commercial to be a "dismal gay stereotype", yet behaving as a stereotype yourself. What's more harmful that we have to deal with in fighting for our rights, queeny guys, or older men perving on naked teenage boys on a public forum like YouTube? Your private proclivities are your business, but for you to complain about comedic stereotypes while publicly engaging in sexual stereotypes is beyond hypocritical.

  • @joebenevides ,

FYI,I haven't removed it,so I've no idea why it's not there now.And if you can't handle my 'perving' on teen'boys' then DON'T look at my channel. You call me out on my supposed 'superior' hypocracy yet you come across as a superior twerp with your sanctamonious pontificating.Tell it to the 50-something people who 'thumbed-up' my original comment! Or better yet,go peddle your banal ramblings somewhere else.

  • @popazz1 It was probably removed by YouTube because of its inappropriate content. Stereotype is based on fact, and we all represent some type, but it's especially hypocritical to complain about a harmless stereotype while publicly engaging in an unseemly one that the straight public uses to demonize gays. Those leaving a thumbs up may be hypocrites, but they are not so public as you to hypocritically criticize one action while publicly engaging in worse.

  • @joebenevides ,

Jeeze, you going for some kind of moral award,or something? You've made your fricking point, now go away.Get a damn hobby.

  • @popazz1 It's not about morality. The gay community is just as diverse as the straight, with all kinds of stereotypes existing across sexuality, gender, race and culture, with some worse than others. It's important to remember ones owns stereotypes before criticizing another. All your ad hominens only betray your inability to defend your comment about this video. It's just a silly, harmless chip commercial, so maybe next time you'll have some humor and not be so quick to hypocritically judge.

  • @joebenevides ,

Whatever, pal, whatever.'ad hominens',hahahahahahaha, ooooooh someone needs to show how verbose he is.Not hugged enough as a child, huh?! Bye-bye,bye-bye.

  • @popazz1 An intelligent, mature adult would either defend their statement or admit their error, whereas someone who is immature throws insults and arrogantly refuses to even try to defend their position. I'm really beginning to wonder if you transposed the digits in your age.

  • @joebenevides ,

    'Transposed',ooh,er,there you go again.Byeeeeeeeeeeee!

  • @popazz1 I totally understand where you are coming from. I do.Im gay, and I have a bunch of gay friends. I must say though, there are SOME gay dudes who DO act like this. Period.

  • @MikoWilson ,

Yup,I am aware there are guys who act this way, know plenty of 'em myself. My original point was that in commercials it's very nearly always the 'overtly' mincing kind who are portrayed. It's as if the advertising world realises that many gay men DO 'blend in' in society, you could pass 'em in the street & not know they were gay,so they have to use the stereotypical gay male to highlight they're gay.

  • those guys would not be considered anything but flamers...........

  • those guys would not be considered anything but flamers...........

Even gay men have standards..........that girl friend would be considered a 6 and a good reason to jump into the bowl of Doritos.

  • omg people, its a commercial >.< get over it and laugh at the joke? sure its stereotypical, so are most comedic things! sure its gay...but gay people do exist ya'know. pahaa, the comments here make me laugh so much! How serious people take these things.

  • Haha!

OMG. Way too stereotypical, but FUNNY as hell.

  • Rrrright. Because all gay guys are super un-masculine. All black people are strutting pimps. All Chinese people run laundries. Dumbness knows no bounds.

  • i'm high and this doesn't make me want doritos, not that murder is in order. the ad's gay in a few ways

  • so funny

  • Thumbs up if you think this video is cool.

  • Fake and gay!

  • @Kailyeh Heh? I thought it was true story.

  • Yeah true, That rich and gay? Noway they would eat some fatty low priced dorito

  • @MegaHoodTV go kill yourself

  • @MegaHoodTV Your comment brings back memories of when i was 13 myself, with age i realized how childish that behavior was. No adult would react that way in public, people got used to it. Even if they disagree with it they still don't go like children do ''Ewwwwww totally Gay!'' But you will eventually realize it to as soon as you hit 20

  • @MegaHoodTV You first.

  • this video is extremely offensive. why would they have the girl looking scathingly at the guy.... perhaps the hedge trimmer is gay?? not to mention the effeminate stereotype of gay men. really hope this wasn't picked

  • @mrgreen622 As you could've noticed in the description of the video "As a neighbor trims his hedges he notices something very appetizing next door...", the hedge trimmer is the guy living there, implying that the girl next to him would be his girlfriend. So it wouldn't be very strange for her to look at him like that.

That, and how else are you going to make clear those two guys are gay? If people are already freaking the fuck out on this much, then they could'nt have made them kiss eachother.

  • the neighbor is too hot to be straight

  • Quite stereotypical...

  • @LawsofPaul Exactly what is?

  • I will admit this is a little offensive but at least its clever and funny and not moronic like the oh look hot girl covered in Doritos lets watch still think the "Make your own Doritos" one is better though.

  • Gay Man-flavored Doritos... OH MY GOD!

  • I'm craving butt-sex by a muscular cute guy. Guess the ad worked! Thanks, Doritos!

  • Haha

  • Thanks for nailing in the stereotype to millions, Doritos.

  • @RyanM4N What stereotype?

  • @Ryat51 I think he means the stereotype of gay guys being very effeminate, like the ones in the commercial that were sitting by the pool.

  • Comment removed

  • I am craving doritos right now even though I haven't eaten a dorito is about 10 years so I guess the ad was successful.

  • The look of horror on her face is hilarious.

  • btw, at least it's a step in the right direction since the gay guys are pretty f'n hot in this commercial.

  • Great video but would it be so threatening to have these guys not be as gay as possible?

  • @nymja Part of what commercials do is use exaggeration for comedic effect. Personally, I don't get offended by ads, because they aren't real. Either I think they're funny, or I don't. I think this one is, and the exaggeration is a big reason why.

  • Audiences This video is most popular with: Gender Age Male 45-54 Male 35-44 Male 55-64
  • LMAO!

  • This commercial is SO unrealistic!!! As if fabulous gay men would be sitting around eating doritoes. Would never happen. :) j/k

  • @madmom2006 you know how many calories are in doritos o.o

  • @madmom2006 Exactly, maybe around a wine, cheese and grape.

  • why is everything gay these days?

  • @kellerdood32 I think what you are really asking is "why isn't everything heterosexual because I'm uncomfortable." Deal with it. We have.

  • @kellerdood32 i could ask why is everything straight these days? but i'm able to accept ppl for who they are

  • hahahahahaha fuuny as

  • muito bom!muito engraçado kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • bahaahaah " told ya so " hahaha i loev this !!!!!

  • good commercial XD mmm the asian

  • This commercial makes me want to eat them...and I don't mean the chips.

  • :D :D :D

  • Tom is cote.

  • thts totaly how gays act i theres one at my school who nits lmfao

  • @MrThenegativealbino intolerant fool

  • Hahaha.

That's all I feel the need to comment.

  • Well.... I'm gay and I think it's a cute commercial. I just think it's wrong that the guys in this commercial are overly fem. I do see this as getting a point across, Gay-kind should no longer be pushed to one side, and not seen.

  • The way the gay men are presented isn't "feminine," because real femininity has nothing to do with overt prissy silliness. But like women at one time, gay men are often presented in such a mocking light because it helps people feel superior to something they're afraid of. I'm a straight woman who has two great gay guy friends who are each completely different expressions of "masculine" and "feminine" qualities — as am I, and as are all human beings.

  • STEREOTYPES!!!!!!!

  • @xPvtStashx proly not the best thing to say cuzz if he rly wanted to report you to the police, they could lock you up for a long time...anybody can kill anybody, I don't know why your so proud that you can do it too you satanist creep

  • @Nuyorican193 take it easy believe me that he would not have the "balls" do kill anyone. And your right he could get locked up for a long time

  • lol xD
