Interesting, but I would like her to recognize that according to this line of reasoning we should value Facebook higher than Shakespeare and Tolstoy since reading books is even further away from the real-life experiences of human interaction about which she is concerned. FB has facial pictures and real-time interaction - TV has facial expressions and tone of voice, etc...
In short: the argument seems too broad and I get the feeling she doesn't know at what she's aiming. My 2 cents.
