Smurf, the land is in kewaunee count in a large block of timber. I will leave it at that.

The test plot was purple top, rape, red clover, ladino clover, austrain winter peas, and oats on the end. They all took very well. although patchy looking at first becuase we just sprinkled them in.

Looking good, where do you hunt? I'm pretty pumped for the bow season, its my first year hunting my lease in Tigerton!

Clover should be cut down to about 8 inches, it promotes regrowth and easier regrowth for deer to digest. I wouldnt move brassicas or oats.

If there all mixed together you might have to just let them grow and hopefully they will keep it mowed down on there own.

@gavinthegamekiller Your supposed to mow clover and keep it down around 6 to 10 inches. The regrowth is much for edible for deer.

Other crops like oats, radishes, turnips, rye do not need to be mowed.

We only mowed the little test plot of clover, everything else we let the deer mow!

great i just got doin mine i have rape, red clover normal clover, and a mix from a freid with, rhy, winter weat and bunch of other stuff.

This one is getting about 1500 pounds of lime tomorrow so it should only be better next year. It was up and down this year with the spotty rain we got.
