  • wow, great swing.

  • How old is he?

  • @FunFilmzzz he's 9 yrs old in this video. But check out Young Ryan Howad @ 13 or Young Ryan Howard, A Warrior Wreaking Havoc! He's 13 now and doing very well and still loving the game!

  • he is a monster player. how old is he? and how big is the barrel on th bat cuz that makes a big deffrence cuz i use a wood bat and ive hit like 12 and its really hard

  • @TheDeadFish1 he's 13 yrs old now. Check out the squence videos: YRH @ 10, 11, 12, and 13. Just type in those words in the Search Box.

  • lets make one think clear. bat speed is way more important than pitch speed when your talkin about hitting homeruns. why do you think they throw so slow at the homerun derby? and they swing the bat much harder than they would in an actual game.

  • this kids gotta good swing

  • You need to make sure that he doesnt dip his back shoulder and try to hit homeruns all the time. Because all you need with a runner at third and less than two outs is a base hit or a pop fly.

  • i feel so \rry for any pitcher that goes against him

  • im not trying to be a coach or anything but if u follow through the hole swing with out letting goo u should be able to put it maybe farther about 260ft 0r 250ft

  • @anferneeVOODOOBLACK you are correct. Be sure to check out his Video @ 12 years old - Young Ryan Howard Warrior Wreaking Havoc. I believe he's made a few adjustments.

  • @anferneeVOODOOBLACK See that right there is the biggest myth in baseball. I played at the Double A level so no I am not a major leaguer by any means, byt I made it further than 78 percent of anyone who has ever played baseball statistically so I do know something, plus, I am a head coach. There is no such thing as "follow through" once the top hand is rolled over after contact, nothing else matters, you can finish with one, two or no hands, doesnt matter.

  • i didnt hit my first homerun until i was 10 and im the cleanup hitter in my lineup lol!!!! but when i hit it it went on the other field which was 293 feet when they measured it!!! and that one is longer than either of my homeruns were this year and im 13 now!!!!

  • tell himmm to sit bak on the ball and put his hand infront to hit it over the other side of the field great hands though

  • BOOOOOM!!!! thats whats up! THEY DID THE SAME TO ME WHEN I WAS THAT AGE AND IM IN THE LEAGUE NOW! KEEP SWINGING LIL DUDE!!!!!!

  • This kid is good is this you?

  • no wonder they walked him

  • you are awsome man

  • Holy smokes he bombed those balls!! Don't listen to the haters or nay sayers bro keep the little dude workin hard! I got my little 10 year old bro hittin 200 ft bombs to the opposite side as well he gets too pull happy so I get on him to go opoo..

  • This kid is amazing your just mad cause you couldnt do this at 9 years old do you even play baseball? Anyway he is gonna be amazing

  • WOW. KIDS AT THIS AGE THAT HAVE THAT TALENT JUST NEED GOOD ADVICE AND ALOT OF GUIDANCE TO MAKE IT. I KNOW SO MANY TALENTED KIDS WHEN I WAS GROWING UP WITH FULL SCHOLARSHIPS THAT GOT CAUGHT UP IN DRUGS AND ALCOHOL. I HOPE THIS KID TAKES THE RIGHT PATH..PEACE !!

  • gotta admit the kids got talent...the music makes it even more badass lol

  • Hey Stin, all of the kids his age are using aluminum bats, yet very few (if any) are hitting the ball as far as this kid. And as far as the pitcher throwing 'that slow' ... if you ever played little league ball, then you should know that the distance to/from the mound to/from the plate is at a distance so that the pitch is equivalent to an 80 mph (guestimating) fastball. Got to give this lil' slugger some credit man ... c'mon.

  • Its easier to hit a baseball farther if its coming in faster. What he did to slow kid pitching is very impressive. Great job, keep up the good work!

  • yes or david ortiz

  • Whats THE NAME OF THE SONG???????????????????

  • Ryan Howard said in this video that he hit a 400 foot homer at age 12.

    MD6UZypo7nY

  • YOUNG BEAST!

  • Think about it, he's got an aluminum bat which can hit 20-35 feet farther than wooden bats. Plus with a little kid pitching that slow it's gonna be easier to hit.

  • @Stin407 You're so right. That's why at 12 yrs old, he's headed to the Cal Ripken Babe Ruth World Series Next week. I guess because he's been consistent over the last 3 years. Just spread'in the Luv!

  • @konvalesce Congrats to him. Maybe he will be the next Ryan Howard.

  • @konvalesce u told him lol and ik i wouldnt wanna pitch to him

  • @Stin407 yer a hater

  • @Stin407 stop being such a h8r

  • @Stin407

yeah you think at one point ryan howard never played at this level??? even barry bonds played at this level ok? intentionally walking a 12 year old is something big i play juniors and nobody gets intentionally walked

  • @Stin407 yeah but slow pitching is harder to hit then fast pitching.

  • @Stin407: really dude? you have to remember the kid is 9 years old, so are you saying the only way a 9 year old hitting the ball 220+ feet will impress you is if he hits with a wooden bat? which no 9 year old uses for the most part.

  • @Stin407 actually its harder to hit homeruns when its slow pitch, the faster the pitcher the further the homerun, look at randy johnson one of the fastest throwing pitchers ever but he has let up the 3rd most homeruns ever

  • @Stin407 he may have a alluminum bat but u hit the ball father when the pitching is faster so it is just like normal

  • @Stin407 oh really is little league pitching really harder to hit than the pros or even high school?!?!?!?!?! who woulda thought.....

  • omg this kid is bad last year i hit 3 over that type filed

  • ha ha aug 4th is my birthday

  • @fatjoe100lbs just got the 12 Yr Old Vids on. Type in the YouTube Search Box:

A Young Ryan Howard 12... Enjoy! Happy Watching!

  • if you dont take your 2 hands off the bat and keep the same retation of your hips and keeping your arms strong...Trust me bud.you will hit farther.

  • he might not hit the ball everytime but when he does see ya. haha this little guys got talent he has a smooth swing. a little beast. hope to see him up in the pros when i pitch against him.

  • DUUUUUUUUUDE U CAN JUST FLAT OUT HIT BUT IF I WAS 12 HE WOULD B HITTIN BOMBS LIKE THAT OFF ME BECAUSE I WOULD KNUCKLE BALL HIM TO DEATH

  • he has a terrible swing he pulls everything

  • @YnkksRock yup, the .305 45 homer 140 rbi ex- mvp ex- rookie of the year quickest player ever to 100 or 200 homers, homerun king/rbi king every year world series champ 2 time nl champ.... has a horrible swing...

  • @YnkksRock He's 9 jack@ss

  • rape when i was 9 years old i culdent hit a ball. now im 13 and i can hit 330

  • The kid has skills, I'll give him that.

  • Why would you intentionally walk a 9 year old? I dont' care if he's the next Ryan Howard....you don't play at that age to solely win.

  • @RdSoxFan618

I agree with you, but one thing.

    The kid can slug HR's.

Young pitchers HATE the feeling of being homered off of.

  • @RdSoxFan618 there was probibly on first and second and they needed a force at home so they could'nt score

  • Reminds me of myself when i was 9. I had the number 13 too! and i still do:) He looks like a good little player. Keep it up.

  • wat a monster

  • @fatjoe100lbs Thanks! Check out his Borderline video above. That's when he was 11 yrs old. Now he's 12 and has 8 HR's on the Season so far.

  • haha great job man reminds me of my double header a few days ago i had 4 home runs 2 in the first and 2 in the second haha good job man

  • dude insane hitting

  • i played on the feild for 6 years. greatest one ever

  • is that ryan howard or somebody else?

  • swings more like barry bonds

  • hes soo good

  • huh...lol..he was 9 in this video....and this was in 2007?? sooooo.....he's noooww.....twelve....

  • mini beast!

  • mini beast!

  • Normally these kids dont ever become Major Leagurs cause they just stop practicing and think they are too good and dont need too practice. But as you can see with this kids his Legs are massive! and that really helps him in hutting HR's etc.

  • this music is so intense lol even when he is just swinging and missing (why would you include that by the way?)...lol hes good though for sure

  • @akuda88 I wanted to be fair and honest, to indicate that he doesn't hit the ball everytime.

  • @konvalesce neither do the pros bud

  • this music is so intense lol even when he is just swinging and missing (why would you include that by the way?)...lol hes good though for sure

  • my little brother was in this tournament..i met him to...nice kid...very good

  • i would check this kids i.d.

  • damnnn dude i wish i was that good when i was 9...

  • he steps out a little to much, he needs to plany his foot and keep it there and make a powerful swing

  • ths kids a beast but he needs to keep his shoulder in wen he gets older thts not gonna fly w/ fasster pitchers

  • @baronkookymonkey ryan howard does not pull evarything. dude most of his HR are the other way

  • Yea but in 2009 he has been pulling them. Your right about 2008 though.

  • that easton stealth is like $200 bucks!

  • @Echenable its an awesome bat though... he should use tpx they have stiffer handles (better for power hitters)

  • i think for a nine year old hes ok but he should not throw his shoulder open so much its just brute strength

  • What bat does he use?a combat?,or a nike fuse?

  • @Echenable - This video is approx. 3 years ago. So that is an Easton Stealth.

  • @Echenable He's 12 years old now and uses the COMBAT B3

  • im only 10 but i only hit about 210 feet. By the way he is a great hitter! try him out for a travel team. i got picked up from the encinitas reds. Last year.

  • Oh mercy, this IS the second coming of Ryan Howard! If this kid can make consistent contact, pity the Little League teams that will face him!!! He wont lead the league in homers because he will lead the league in INTENTIONAL WALKS!!!!! Poor kid wont get a chance to hit because they will put him on every time!

  • @voyager202000 he nakes consistent contact because thats all they show duh

  • does anything know what song they use in hockey games thats pretty much like this??

  • nah man, ryan howard hit the most opposite field homeruns last year other than Adam Lind. The man goes the other way dont take that away from him.

  • god hes good he probably should be a cleanup all star

  • has he seen curveballs yet? that might be the only thing to get to him because his batspeed looks a little slow.

  • Don't stop here, check out his videos at 10 & 11 yrs old. Just hit a HR 320ft @ 11 yrs old. Only struck out 6 times during entire 2009 Season, great eye & tremendous discipline at the plate.

  • the view from were the camra is makes the feild look really small. what size is or was the feild at the time?

  • the field is 200ft all the way around.

  • what do yall feed this kid?

  • move this kid with 12 and 13 year olds. thats the only thing that will bring the full potential out of him.

  • sweet... i play baseball im 11 so we r the same age but im not nearly as big as this kid ive only hit one homerun not as far as him but what divison does he play in AA or AAA?

  • He played in his League's MAJORS / 50-70 Division. He has one more year to play in that Division. The following year he will move up to Seniors Division.

  • hey cool im in majors too but after that we go to juniors

  • hero

  • That is what the spaniards would call a BIG DAWG. Good for that kid.

  • He's 11 now and just hit 2 home runs On 8/30 of 275 and 310

  • That's right & Thanks! Be sure to check out his latest video "Young Ryan Howard... Borderline." He's now 11yrs old and doing Bigger and Better things!

  • oh yeah me two his last name was like broughton

  • Nice Field!

    Where is it?

  • Bayonne, NJ. The field is completely Artificial Turf. It was beatiful!

  • i was watchin llws and there was this kid tht hit a 300ft one as a 8 yr old

  • Kidroids

  • hes 9?

  • Wow 9 years old! kids got game MVP!

  • wow hes big for nine

  • I saw MANY reasons why they should walk this kid :) However, i think the intentional walk should be banned from LL

  • why

  • 2:19 he chest bumped that kid he almost fell OVER!

  • my little bro can hit it farther and hes 9

  • whoop de doo for you brother

  • lets see the video of your brother hitting it farther. video's dont lie however i think you do. stop being a hater. that kid has a better swing than most high school kids.

  • he needs to keep his head in there and he could work on his defense but other then that hes got some pop!

  • He good but hes also get some meatballs thrown in their to i mean those look like they tring to give him a homerun.

  • dude they not trying to give him a homerun its 9 year old thats how they pitch

  • MVP of the 2023 world series?

  • well look how small the other teams are i think saw a kid that was only like 4 foot tall

  • this kid is going pro

  • hes ok he is good

  • Damn this is amazing

  • 9 years old unbeliveible

  • mabe if he kept 2 hands on the bat it would go 300 feet

  • Prophetic! He did hit it that far today!

  • I wish the pitchers pitched it in that spot to me, I would be him if they did.

  • a phenom

  • This kid is talented! Hands down!

  • This is a talented kid!

  • So open your heart and give him a break, For it's moments like this a man you can make. Keep this in mind when you hear someone forget... He's just a Little Boy, and not a man --- YET!

  • "He stands at the plate with his heart pounding fast, the bases are loaded; the die has been cast. Mom & Dad can't help him, he stands alone. A hit at this moment would send the other team home. The ball get to the plate, he swings & misses. There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and some hisses; A thoughtless voice cries -- Stike out the Bum. Tears fill his eyes, the game's no longer fun...

  • Kids a beast and hell be good in a few years if he satys in shape

  • he hits a lot of bombs but he opens his swing up too much. when he plays against people who throw some other pitches like curveballs theyre gonna make him look silly with that swing

  • they used to do that to me too when i was a kid.

  • He also finshes his swing WAY open, not going to be successful in HS with that swing, but there is time for him to fix it.

  • He finishes his swing way too open??

as long as your squared up while your bat is going through the hitting zone it doesnt matter how you finish.

  • dude hes 9

  • i love how the parents think their kids are the best

  • @mullmjj9 hahaha i no ha

  • Kid has the longest swing i have ever seen.. he wont be successful passed that level of baseball

  • I would like to see this kid hit 8-9 years down the road... He has the longest swing i have ever seen... When he goes to high school hes going to be seeing high 80's to low 90's and hes going to be late on everything or getting jammed due to his long ass swing...

  • OMG that guy can hit like a beast man he can hit farther than me and im 13 years old

  • big feild

  • holy yea hes beast

  • holy crap man this kid is BEAST!!!

  • what bat does he have?

  • Easton - Stealth. The one with the Orange and Silver barrell.

  • its such an honor to get walked that means the coaches think your way to good

  • i hate getting walked (especially intentionally) becasue you're not getting a chance to hit the ball and reak havoc on the other team

  • Ok these are great homeruns and all but konvalesce u gotta stop being such a jerk to everyone else

  • It would be amazing to see what he could do if he actually held onto the bat through the hitting zone. He's losing power letting go too soon looks like to me. Shouldn't let go of the bat with the left hand until he has too, not right when he's hitting the ball. Great future though, look's like to me.

  • what song is that

  • J.R. Writer - "Get 'Em!"

  • Wow kid has a good swing hes ripping shots in this video !..and forget the haters they are just mad because their kids suck at life LOL..and yes many are right that they are only lobiing the ball but as he gets older and the pitchers start throwing harder hes only going to be better and stronger so he will still rip Bombs anyway ! ..hope lil man goes far with his talent

  • He pulls his head off the ball way to much.

  • Actually, that's where your wrong my friend. For a Power Hitter, he has a very deft eye. All last season he only struck out 6 times, this years he's only wiffed twice. Presently he's hitting .631 & some amazing HR's.

  • also there lobbing it in there man if i versed hi i would strike him out and dont you have any vids of him at a older age??

  • Wow! Why some much HATE? There are approximately 8 videos listed for Young Ryan Howard. He has videos at 10 & 11 yrs old. Matter of fact he just sky-rocketed 2 a few weeks ago. Won't you send one of your videos so we can see how Super you are. Thanks!

  • this kid is going to the majors some day

  • he looks more like 12

  • im way better than him

  • did you play in los nietos park over in santa fe spings

  • just yesterday i slugged a home run it had to have been 250 or more because i hit it to the deepest part of the park and then it carried at least 20 feet and my field is not small

  • nice i swear thats ryan howard hes lefty and hits homeruns and lets g of the bat with one hand ofter he swings

  • my 9 year old bro is a switch hitter but with a lot less pop

  • IM 13 AND I HIT A HOMERUN 320FT LAST WEEK

  • im 14 and i hit a homerun 380 ft yesterday bitch

  • i love it baby! reppin delaware too

  • well not to hate or anything but if someone just throws 25mph right down the middle anyone could tee off on it

  • yea but think about it this kid is 9 years old

  • my aau team was in cooperstown we did ok but i got a ring

  • he averages about 220 feet he is just like me when i was 9 years old now i average about 250 or 260 feet

  • when i was on my 10+under travel ball team (Sussex Slammers , DE) we were all hitting 250ft line drives every at bat but about 3 or 4 a game ( we are now currently 13+Under team) (placed 12th place in Cooperstown out of 109)

  • my team was 2nd in cooperstown lol wat team wer u on?

  • did you play the wildcats?

  • yeah ok

  • No one cares

  • ok you approve my comment but u dont reply... makes complete sense

  • It's because I'm not sure of what the name of the song is. I'll try to find out and then attempt to notify you what it is.

  • The song is the remix to Cam'ron Get 'Em Girls. Also used by J.R. Writer
