Think of it this way. At the moment all your subscribers are subscribe to you because they think you are a good commentator and like listening to you and watching your gameplay. But if you get a shout out from a big youtuber then you may have 5 times more subscribers with the exception that they are only a subscriber because someone told them to be and they may not even watch you videos.

10,000 subscribers is still alot of subs for a person to have. Besides, colleges look for stuff in the essays that makes you stand apart from all the rest. write about it, but dont be very braggy. And dont be "that guy" that spams other vid's comments promoting your channel. You got plenty of potential, just keep doing what you want, and in time with alot of patience, im sure it will work out for ya.

Chrome, you should wait to apply for 3 reasons: you have more time to get a higher SAT score (if you have already taken it), get more subscribers (whichever way you decide), and finally, get a higher GPA from your junior classes.

So my advice about the subscribers on the college applications is to put it on there no matter how many subscribers you get over 10,000. Believe it or not, 10,000 is a lot, especially is you emphasize the commentaries significance outside of gaming ("public speaking")

K first off you did a good thing by giving blade a shout out but it's no the reason he has so many subs. He is unique funny and likable. What you've got going for you is that younger players look up to you and can relate to you. The majority of your subs are prob around your age and they can relate to you better than say that guy who camps. I think cromebandit would go well with your college app but don't make it your focus. I wouldnt be too impressed with your ability to play cod if I was them.

I appreciate you're in a bit of a bind at the moment, applications, unfortunately, don't take into account "enjoyment" because you can't quantify that in a number. I too, hate people merely asking for subscribers as opposed to just putting out great content people like and enjoy, and gaining followers that way.
