@WakeTheBeast666 So true. The first three we basically the same plot but worked so well because they furthered the storyline added new bits had brilliant effects etc. I always wanted to see the post-Judgment Day world and I wasn't disappointed in Salvation.
What made the terminators and xenomorphs from aliens so special is that they didn't have too much screen time. Cameron knew how to build up suspense and make a drama without the antagonist stealing the show. By the end of this movie we have as much fear and respect for the terminators as the battle droids from the star wars prequels.
The script needed more time in the oven, but the vfx were more practical this time around and progressed the story to the future nightmare, which is what most have longed for. By doing so, it has avoided the "remake" trap that T2 and T3 fell into, and almost killed the franchise off for good.
Some missed opportunities(Marcus vs the Harvestor, Helena Carter), but overall a decent film.
This movie is ok, but it tried to compete with transformers and fell flat. The story line was a bit generic and where are the HK tanks did not see much of them. The scripting is dodgy in places and the terminators no longer scare me after this movie.
They Screwed up this movie so bad Its like they rushed it. No way near as good as the first 2 and even Rise of the machines ok but This was pile of crap i agree with most of you all.

I don't really like this movie. In Terminator, It took them the entire movie to kill Arnold Schwarzenegger. This movie, they kill so many machines, they lose the image of evil invincible robots. Also, at the end, the helicoptor is way to close to the nuke to have survived.

That part isn't even on the director's cut version of the movie. There is one brief moment at 01:52 minutes that also isn't on either version, "normal" or director's cut. Marcus breaking the glass (02:57) also has 'someone' behind him that isn't in the final cut of the movie. That scene is different. The rest is there.

its hard to make 3 successful movies with the same underplot (Arnie coming to LA as a cyborg from the future to do X amount of badassness) so i dont know why people are bitching that this movie isnt like the others. I say who cares! When i saw the first two movies when i was a kid, the first thing i thought was 'DAMN i want to see more of the future war BITCHEZ!!!' This movie is amazingly sick...

@WakeTheBeast666 So true. The first three we basically the same plot but worked so well because they furthered the storyline added new bits had brilliant effects etc. I always wanted to see the post-Judgment Day world and I wasn't disappointed in Salvation.

What made the terminators and xenomorphs from aliens so special is that they didn't have too much screen time. Cameron knew how to build up suspense and make a drama without the antagonist stealing the show. By the end of this movie we have as much fear and respect for the terminators as the battle droids from the star wars prequels.

The script needed more time in the oven, but the vfx were more practical this time around and progressed the story to the future nightmare, which is what most have longed for. By doing so, it has avoided the "remake" trap that T2 and T3 fell into, and almost killed the franchise off for good.
Some missed opportunities(Marcus vs the Harvestor, Helena Carter), but overall a decent film.

This movie is ok, but it tried to compete with transformers and fell flat. The story line was a bit generic and where are the HK tanks did not see much of them. The scripting is dodgy in places and the terminators no longer scare me after this movie.

@repmytown I agree there is no way that a true fan of the first twofilms could posably think this movie made the cut. This was a pile of shit and you can see the faces of the producesrs just cashing in on a successful franchise without caring if the movie was actually good. That is why i admire james cameron so much because he could have made more films had he wanted to and would have made good money, but he was better than that because he cared more about the quality and therefore T1 and T2.

I don't really like this movie. In Terminator, It took them the entire movie to kill Arnold Schwarzenegger. This movie, they kill so many machines, they lose the image of evil invincible robots. Also, at the end, the helicoptor is way to close to the nuke to have survived.

@Kickassasianassassin Specifically John Connor (Christian Bale) talking to his superiors (starting from 00:58 to 01:12) about Skynet replicating human tissue for the T-800. That part isn't even on the director's cut version of the movie. There is one brief moment at 01:52 minutes that also isn't on either version, "normal" or director's cut. Marcus breaking the glass (02:57) also has 'someone' behind him that isn't in the final cut of the movie. That scene is different. The rest is there.
