The guy had plenty of heart as he showed against Ali, a diminished Ali, but was lacking in true heavy weight power and stamina. Perhaps Fredo would have done better in the Cruiser Weight Division.

@combatesdeboxeo If JImmy Clark, Marvin Stinson, and Michael Dokes can last with Stevenson, then Greg had a chance to beat him. Around 1978 and after, he could've taken Teofilo.Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if Mitch Green could've taken him around that time also.
@Platinummxi - Gerry said he wanted to fight some of those guys, but Don King controlled most of those fighters, then when he was going to fight Page, Greg lost to Berbick. Some fighters simply didn't want to fight Cooney, but I think an in-shape and motivated Page would have beaten him.
@zenmachinefilms I think when Greg lost to Berbick, Gerry lost to Larry Holmes on the same night, so that really put a crimp in the plan.Greg had no business fighting Trevor, even though that was the best shape I've seen him in in his fighting prime.

Greg Page had a lot of skills here. All the top guys in the 80's were ruined by Don King or some stupid act they pulled for who know's what reason.
