@Tmystic8 I could have added most of the areas/people studied on your list to my list below. Anyhow, I am 100% certain Jesus would not agree with your conclusion. Jesus rejected all Gurus/avatars as being equal to himself. " " All that ever came before me (ie: Krishna. etc.) are thieves and robbers" (John 10:8 ), and " ...take heed lest any man deceive you... many will come in my name saying I am Christ, [or Christ consciousness]; and shall deceive many" (Mark 13:5,6, Luke 21:8). " Jesus only.
@moabedom So Jesus rejects all humans-past & future, as being equal to him. He was the only one that dozens of prophesies referred to. Said Jesus " ..no man cometh unto the Father but by me" (Jn 14:6) Cementing this, He said " Nevertheless I tell you the truth; if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.." Jn 16:7 In context saying only He could
@moabedom Only He could send the Comforter (defined elsewhere as the "spirit of truth" or the "Holy Spirit" Jn. 14:26) to earth. " (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified." { glorified in context = killed Lk. 24:25-46] Jn. 7:39) Why couldn't Krishna, or Sai Baba, or any other Guru send the "spirit of Truth" to earth for the first time? Because "thus it is written" said Messiah
@moabedom I'm the gray haired guy in the Tv programs on our page. I speak in greater detail about all this in the article entitled "Is Jesus Just Another Guru"? located at the truth seekers site that our page links to. Lk 24:25- "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets..he expounded..the things concerning himself
@Tmystic8 Jesus was quoting Psalm 82:6 but you need to read all 8 verses of the Psalm for the context. The very next verse 82:7 says "But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes". God doesn't die. He is eternal. Psalm 82:1,2 state: God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods. How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked?
Jesus is likening the pharisees to the "gods" who are unjust (unlike God) & die. Jesus' sarcasm there.
@Tmystic8 Apostle paul said that anyone bringing a false gospel should be "anathema" (Galatians 1:8,9). Mary does not bring us "the gifts of eternal salvation" as the Vatican 2 Documents state. That is another gospel. Roman Catholicism preaches a false gospel. Check out former Roman Catholic priest, Richard Bennett's website.
@Tmystic8 The Roman Catholic Church cannot be Christian as over 80 "infallible" Popes gave their blessing to torture in the name of Christ during the 600+ years of the Inquisition, all contrary to Jesus' commands (John 14:21-23). Jesus commanded us to "do unto others" as we would want them to do to us. Who would want to be tortured? Is that truly loving your neighbor as yourself?
@Tmystic8 It all depends on "truth". If Jesus is who He claimed to be (and I am convinced after having searched for truth through "the material world",psychology; existentialism, Nostradamus, Bhuddism, Hinduism, Silver Mind Control, Edgar Cayce, & different aspects of the occult. It was only after all those that I read Jesus words & was blown away. Many others have had the same experience. I then studied archeology & history to verify. Jesus is The Truth. Seek & ye shall find. Don't & ye won't.
@Tmystic8 I too was searching for the same answers. Excellent questions too. I can suggest some things & will tomorrow. Heading to bed right now!
