After four days of endless practice, I finally can wistle damn loud :)

Plus one final "note"--your lips stay in normal position--not compressed in any way--just slightly apart--no one could tell just by looking that you were making like a tea kettle. Happy whistling! Don't practice too loud or you might find a bunch of taxicab pulling up in front of your house. :-|) Lame-o.

Advantage of The Fingerless is obvious if you're wearing gloves or mittens or arms full of groceries or the neighbor's dog or if you don't know where your hands have been etc etc--

Press the sides of your tongue down along the edges and lift the tip and just sort of huff the air in the back of your mouth over the tip, No need to flatten lips over teeth etc etc. Once you start making a sound you can experment with lip and tongue shapes and air pressure--pretty soon you'll be doing Bug;s Bunny Looney Tune and Beethoven's 5th.. Practice and experiment--you don't need much blow to hit an ear-piercing note!

I just put up a whistling tutorial but it isn't of this particular type of whistle... But I'll post it here as a response anyway.  I'm able to whistle VERY loudly with no fingers, and with practice I think anybody can even if it isn't using Dr. Cox's method.

Watch my video dude, it explains exactly how to do it. Enjoy. If you have lip/tongue dexterity, you should master it quickly. Took me years to figure it out because I had no teacher
