I may have to shoot you an email someday, Radioflyer. I dont have the cash yet but I reeeeaaaallllly want the headlights crackerzot has (here on youtube)... I really want to keep my flip ups and the halos look amazing.
Which Hella projectors did you use? What were the dimensions. I did a custom setup for my Trans Am but the projectors I used are more or less fog lights. They have HID but not enough light output.
I used Hella's 90mm projectors. I later updated the design with custom curved cutoff shields that significantly sharpened and widened the useable pattern.
Yeah, I'd definitely swap out the OEMs for the HIDs; I'm all about safety...even with Corvettes. Better yet, I'd get rid of the popup mechanism altogether and install permanent headlights. Corvette Specialty Of California can install C6 headlights on C5s. Yes, the whole C6 fender and front panel assembly for C5s.
@triplexxxsatyr That would likely cost at least $2500 to do, probably more. Why the %*#@ would you spend $2500 on a car that's worth probably $20k, just to have slightly different headlights? That is completely asinine. And don't say $2,500 is not a lot of money- to almost anyone that owns a C5, $2500 is a lot of money; if it weren't, you wouldn't have a C5. It would probably be a wiser investment to put up with the stock C5 headlights and save your money for a C6 (or an appreciating asset).
Since you're being so properly vulgar with me, I don't give a fuck. I know $2,500 IS a ton of money but I subscribe to the "fewer clusterfucks=less headaches" ethos. It's worth it to me. As much as I adore the LS7, I love the C5 curves just as much. CSOC offers an opportunity for me to combine those two loves in single package. I hate popup headlamps. I abhor them but the C5 is a great body style and the permanent headlamps on a C5 as offered by CSOC is a terrific alternative.
Radioflyer's inventions are for rizzle!!! The kid knows his stuff. Don't hesitate to buy something or have something designed by him. His knowledge of invention and modification is unmatched!
Sure do! If you go over to Digital Corvettes, you can look at a thread I did with them installed on my car. Look in the C5 General forum and do a search for "light cannons."

@evils1z28 that's just the way GM designed the flip-up headlights to look like.
