well, not everyone is Christian, but a lot of people are. not just in America, but all over the world too. one of the really cool things about being Christian is just being able to worship the God who created the universe and this earth, and who, out of love, gave up his only son Jesus Christ so that we humans can have a chance to go to heaven. that's one of the main reasons out of many that Christians "praise the Lord." it's kind of complex, but i hope i've answered your question somewhat :)
