good review, if you would have tried a track version it would have been a little sharper. BTW...the steering wheel is not plastic, it is in fact leather. Unfortunately its the crappiest leather I have ever seen. The Santa Fe, Sonata, Genesis sedan all have supple leather on the wheel, dont know why Hyundai used something different for the coupe.
@cashbagg they seem to have messed up on this car. the design is excellent, the interior is great, but the driveline and transmission are terrible. also, it doesn't blip the throttle on the downshifts on the automatic which is a bit ridiculous.
they need to fix these problems... once they do, they'll have a truly amazing car.
yeah, the handleing isnt what youre used to because your driving the grand touring model. the track edition has a much firmer suspention and adds all of the performance needs like a limited slip diff. and brembos. plus larger/better looking rims, etc... try out a track edition and then reevaluate this video... i absolutely love this car though. thanks.
The damp pavement probably helped out. Actually it puts power down on corner exit surprisingly well considering it's an open diff. The automatic is probably helping that somewhat by tempering torque delivery, but it doesn't do the "one wheel peel" on a tight corner exit the way you would expect it to.
