  • How many people who survived are now saying, "Never again will I be so stupid"? How many who dies said, "Hey, kids! Let's all go down to the shore and see what all the fuss is about"?

  • Que gente sem noção, bando de idiotas suicidas.

  • 26-12-2012

    today 7 year anniversary tsunami

  • ha MR T baby

  • Hey look at all the people drowning....let´s take some pictures!

The human population is getting more stupid by the hour

  • @superfisk09 None of Thai people have heard about tsunami by that time, that is why...BUT now they learn ^^

  • @nipattanipatta

i dosent care if they know the name of the danger, they still should help fellow humans instead of filming

  • @superfisk09 grow a brain dork. What do you want him to do put his superman suit on and save everyone?

  • @sheetbug When you grow up, you might realize something else...

If your american, then you might not.....!

  • @superfisk09 Hindsight is a great thing, having armchair experts like you criticizing the camera man only makes you look like a fool.

  • @sheetbug

i only expect from others, what i know i would do self...

Try some S&R and we can talk again....

If you act like a girl, then of course you expect others to act in the same way!

  • @superfisk09 If you were there, I guarantee you would of curled up in the fetal position and cried like a girl. Calling mummy mummy. What if the camera guy couldn't swim? I suggest you go to the nearest supermarket and buy yourself a new brain as the one you got doesn't work very well.

  • @sheetbug

I can get yours cheap i guess..

You must be from the states!

  • @superfisk09 hehe you're so funny were'nt you given toys as a child?. But seriously you need help as you have some serious issues, its never too late. I understand its not your fault, the doctor shouldn't of dropped you on your head, or your uncle shouldn't of abused you. get help please

  • @sheetbug

You´re living proof, that the states are going down...

    Everybody for themself -right?

And if you own a camera you doen´t need to help your fellow humans!

Did you know US troops spend up to a million rounds per kill now a days, in WW-I it was not over 1000 shots per kill and you still call it progress... nuts!!

Soon your oil is gone and you have enemies all over the world, it´s a sad story!

  • People had never heard of Tsunami before in Thailand. That's why....

  • @jaokoi2010 because you don't know something you don't need to fear it?

  • Then, people didn't know the signs of a tsunami coming. Now people are more aware when they see the sea water suddenly recedes...that means tsunami is coming.

  • DONT FUCK WITH THE OCEANS! Respect the sea... we pollute it, we deplete its limited resources, we acidify its environment, we take its role on our planet for granted, we underestimate its power and destructive capacities, we overfish it, we destroy its fragile ecosystems, we bleach her corals and murder her cetaceans...she can wash your world and loved ones away in minutes...DONT FUCK WITH THE OCEANS! Respect and protect the sea...or we are ALL dead!

  • They did not realize it was a tsunami untill too late

  • I can not, i n the DEEPEST of my heart, understand or realise how some HUMAN PEOPLE can stap this video, or other videos whith death can place "I LIKE THIS FILM"

For ME is THAT is almost as painful to see as to watch this video.

Yes, I watch this video of HISTORY, but PLEASE dont STAMP "LIKE" of these kind of films.

    This is a HISTORIC FILM!

I am so sad sea people at these places dont have the experience or knownledge to instruct tourists when the OCEAN DISAPEARS....

  • What the hell are you guys on about? Obviously they were all having a great time and it wasn't a Tsumani it was just a little wave. No big deal. Besides which they were all wearing life vest if a big wave did hit them. And this was recorded in 2007, the real tsunami was in 2004 if I remember correctly.

  • tsunamis are not fun.

  • if the water ever suddenly goes away im out. thats my rule

  • Oh a big an abnormal wave is coming? Ill stay on the fucking beach and just chill because I have no fucking clue what's going to happen...

  • y a quand un truc que je comprend pas,il peuvent prevoir le tsunami en voyant l'eau partir, mais nen il avancent tous dans l'eau au lieu de ce metre a l'abris! c'est quand meme stupide la non???

  • I don't know his language, but the narrator is amazingly calm through the whole thing.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=7n1Fetz3FWc

  • bu insanlar tsunaminin ne olduğunu bilmiyor galiba

  • Pause the vid

    Play the vid

    Repeatedly tap 5

  • MANY OF THEM JUST GOT SUCK FAR IN THE OCEAN UNTIL A SHARK FOUND THEM

  • Darwin hard at work!!! These have to be the dumbest motherfuckers aliv.......er......well they were the dumbest motherfuckers alive.

  • And not just a grown man. Look at all those dumb motherfuckers just standing there. "Oh gee, lets look at all these kids scream bloody murder" Any idiot can tell those aren't "Man!, Im having such a fucking blast!" screams.

  • Any grown man who owns a copy of kids getting hit by a Tsunami should be shot. He could have a least grabbed a couple of those kids. I would have died trying.

  • GOD, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN.

He Descripted the cilp in THAI language, but he didn't know it Tsunami.

After this event Thailand alert on preparing when tsunami come. (but I hope not)

  • OMG what a bunch of lifevest toting morons, i mean really?!

  • What idiots. When water starts gettin sucked out. You know sumin aint right. why would you put on life jackets to go in it. Everybody knows it's goin miles inlad an aint no tellin what you're goin to hit or get trapped between sumin an drown. What fuckin idiots man

  • Just amazing how people are not vigilent regarding their surroundings. Probably some tour director told them it would be fun to swim in the waves. Think about your leaders today......are they as foolish? Suspicion is healthy.

  • Wrath of God

  • this is sooo phoney

  • If they ran away in a panic did'nt watch Tsunami, how many people saved? To our regret, they didn't know about Tsunami'sTerror...

  • that was a total wast of 5 minutes i want that time back!

  • they must not have realize it was serious until the end

  • we all know what to do now when the ocean recedes back....dont marvell at the unusual low tide for one.thankyou to japan for giving us a simple word to which fear and respect wil be given.

  • Living by the beaches is so beautiful yet can be so deadly.

    The contradictions of mother nature.

  • wow esa gente no c da cuenta q algo no esta bien con el mar?? wow c nota q el mar esta diferente

  • I dont understand his laungue?

  • @MrKillingman2 That's because he isn't speaking English, genius. Apparently you don't, either.

  • the camera man is so dork

  • WHY DIDNT THEY SOUND THE SIREN!? SO MANY INNOCENTS DIED ='( RIP

  • @TeamRedz

Before the 2004 tsunami there was virtually no warning sirens available. It wasn't until the 2004 tragedy that they improved the tsunami equipment to give a good enough warning to get people to the higher ground.

  • @collegefreaks2000 a bit of a late reply but thanks

  • ARE THEY PLAYING AT 3 .20 ?

  • I hope that little boy in the boat survived, though same goes for the rest. R.I.P. Were some people just lying down waiting to ride the wave as it came in?

  • mini tsunami

  • There all wondering why the water is so low. By the time they realize whats going on it will be too late to react. Some will be lucky to have survive the Monsterous Waves.

  • REALLY. Is it THAT HARD to control a handheld camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Okay guys wana some tips how to prevent or how to know tsunami is approaching??Watch my video

  • people are stupid together and they die together

  • That is just horrible timing. Looks like a lot of people there couldn't swim.

  • people sometimes are so ignorant they think its funny

  • em se ala ab am -.- sala em haba

    fuck mother and alalalmab -.-

  • that didnt look very bad. but i guess i wasnt there

  • Comment removed

  • They ran to higher ground but saw many tourists swept away. Some of them asked for help. Some of them worried about their cameras too. The cameraman wanted to help them but he cannot swim. He showed his friend who he talked with 3 minutes ago clinging a tree. The cameraman worried about his stuffs at his camping site but he said life comes first. He also worried about people he saw earlier in his video.

  • The cameraman is Thai tourist. He talked in Thai language. He said he noticed a sand dune appeared in the bay. Many people walked to see it. There were many Asian tourists that he thought they are Chinese, Japanese or Taiwanese. They were wearing life jackets and carrying snorkels to see coral reef near this beach and swim there. The cameraman also asked his friend to go kayaking with him but later they noticed sea level was rising like flooding.

  • Seems pretty clear the people who were renting masks and snorkels were also putting out life jackets for the non-swimmers. I don't think they were waiting, I don't think they had a clue. Looks like the walk out to the water was longer than usual, a mystery most didn't solve, that time.

  • people cant doing something u must bles to god""

  • son weone

  • Fantastic fenomenus!!!!

    Great idea !!!!

    Japanese idea !!!

    Crazy idea!!

  • graba weas reales reconchetumare!

  • Trees would be the perfect place to hang on too if you don't have anywhere else to go. You can always climb a tree if your capable.

  • before this massive disaster very few of the average people knew what a tsunami looked like or why the water disappeard, thats why u can see people just standing on the beach looking. and when the government was to slow to react to the warnings of a tsunami developing too many lifes were lost =(

  • Yes, the media is responsible for this as well. They portrayed a Tsunami as one big tidal wave as tall as a sky scraper. We call them idiots now, but if were were in their position I can bet 90 percent of people would do the same.

  • How stupid can people be? Fucking get on on a mountain or something, dont stay on the beach and record.. So fucking stupid! -.-

  • @qpadkz By that time (2004) Most of Asian ppl have not heard about tsunami before so they thought it was just a big wave...just so you know but now they learn ^^

  • that funny he said " i want to help but too bad i dont konw how to swim,'

p.s. its not tsunami its just rip current in the water they'll survive

  • listen this mabye every one thoght it was a tsunami but i was just a little wawe XD

  • I'm confused...did the tsunami hit before or after we see the battle ship in the background? None of the people even look very concerned when the others are getting swept away by the tide.

  • And the waters kept on coming.

  • thats alot of water..

  • I don't quite understand...did they realise that was happening and that's why they are all in life jackets?? I have seen some strange things but that was like watching zombies...hope everyone was ok

  • But you have to consider the context. There hadn't been a major tsunami in the area in ages, so even for the locals it probably just looked initially like some weird stuff going on with the tides. In a lot of places, the '04 tsunami wasn't the stereotypical great breaking wave of movie lore, but more what you see here: a fast-rising tide that didn't look all that menacing at first, but continued to grow in intensity and size, and caught a lot of people before they realized the danger.

  • Precisely. The fact that a Tsunami comes in at intervals, and with one wave after the other overlapping the previous one, it grows taller and with more intensity unlike the massive skyscraper tidal waves we see in the media.

  • I don't get some people......it's a tsunami.....run away. For some people that probably means grab a life jacket and run towards.

  • @kevbunbun everything, what isnt weird about it

  • This might be mean and all but...

"Hey evryone, look, its a tsunami, let's go walk toward's, we can't get hurt if we're wearing a life vest!!"

  • i hope they know how to swim if they live on a beach!!

  • wha the hell just happended i mean it looks like they were waiting for that because they had a life vest i mean how stupid can they be if they something like that is coming what wont they stay away form the beach they have to be so retarded.

  • Call me crazy but wouldn't you think that people who live directly on the ocean would be sensitive to a rising horizon?

"Hey, honey, does that horizon seem to be getting higher, or is my vertigo just kicking in?"

    Geez...

  • They are all like.. Weeee here comes a wave.. this will be fun! As they are being washed out to sea.. oh sh*t! oh shi*t1

  • Thaï

  • @kamratframjandet I think it's bahasa

  • Fuck dumb โกหกชัดๆ

  • loading freaking slow

  • can somebody explain to me what the hell just happened. a recreational tsunami? could those people have really been that stupid?

  • hmmm..why do they go into the water????fuckin dumb!

  • @fricksen20 Because they have not heard about tsunami before but now they learn...

  • this was not a wave. you can tell when a big wave comes by the color over the water.

  • Stupid life vests. These things create a serious false sense of security. I am a lifeguard in Los Angeles. I see and hear of so many kids dying every year, because their parents strap one of these things to the nonswimmer. they are life preservers for those who know how to swim but would need help to keep from becoming exhausted should their vessel capsize. if you can't swim, do go near the water. Learn how to fucking swim first asshole. Why must we learn only through shocks and burns.

  • The worst part is that they don't know how to swim so they start to panic and no where on that life vest says panic free vest.

  • @kevinbeatzeus

Because people are stubborn and think it will never happen to them.

I guess we are destined to learn things through shocks and burns.

    Sadly.

  • dieu est grand

  • You would think these natives would know the signs of a tsunami.

  • Apparently the ones in the video are so fond of them that they grab their life jackets and go for a joy ride

  • no, they wouldnt know, because a tsunami is common for them, nor anyone on earth.

  • theres two ways to know that a tsunami is coming..wen the water gets sucked out then the wave comes..or wen the water starts to rise thent he wave comes

  • Its frightening how quickly the wave came in. All of a sudden the people are in the trees.

  • Before 26th december 2004 most of people didn't know what was a tsunami. Most of people didn't know how a tsunami it's generated and also no one knew what was the danger of tsunami.

  • looks like there wasn't really any 'big' wave here. seems the ocean just suddenly started flooding inland like an out of control river. even more sneaky. what a horror for those people.

  • first time seeing this video... but it looks like they expected it. I'm confused.

  • Animals would sense danger and run. People are, well, stupid.

  • YOU 're not stupid for not sense danger, you just only don't have that sense, just like every human in the Earth...

  • the first 2 minutes you can see all the water getting sucked out, thats when they should have ran away

  • So where did that boat come from?

  • it was palkia

  • It's all fun and games until 270,000 people drown.

  • they where wearing lifejackets so i'm sure they survived........

  • owh my GOD all those people!

  • Let's upload your death on youtube, shall we? :) Oh, and it's Kaffer. Do they not have schooling where you come from?

  • cunt

  • I dont think so is a big and a tall tsunami.

Its says Tsunami means Waves Of Destruction

  • tsunami is japanese.

    Tsu-harobour

    Nami - wawe

    :)

  • nice typing skills, your an idiot.

  • I just love all the knucklehead tourists floating around

  • It's Thai. Why don't you educate yourself a bit so YOU don't sound like an idiot?

  • oh yeah, wtf ??

  • How is it a weird language? English is one of the hardest languages to learn. English is probably a weird language to everyone else...

God Bless all those who passed. God bless those families that lost lives and their lifes fortunes.

There maybe few, not many, but there are people out there that do acknowledge their blessings and feel for those that lose someone close or something great.

  • -.-

  • oh my god some are still playing inside the water

  • wow everyone seems pretty calm at the end.

and hey lol at least a lot of them were wearing lifejackets

  • that was probably the only saving grace for all the survivors! Down side is it's hard to swim with one on and it's quite possible to get washed out to sea with one on.

  • nah

  • Some people deserve, but these people did no harm.

  • maybe they dont know... A tsunami hasnt happen in awhile

  • its a poor country not everyone gets educated about that.

  • Actually a lot of american and european tourists died because the never saw a tsunami before and thought the ocean's behavior was natural in that zone. Nobody was well educated about tsunamis until that moment, and some natives were smart enough to observe the animals walking to high ground and they followed them.

  • what a thoughtful comment

  • hey look! the water comes in very fat!! lets play in it!!- good idea? NO!!!!!!

  • Haha. "the water comes in very fat"

  • hahah! didnt catch that one! thats funny tho

  • osoko wu gondogò

  • lol they run right to it

  • I will laugh at you when you run right to your death.. Lets how funny that is, its probably hilarious to see you running to your death.

  • nature - the most powerfull thing on earth.

  • i'm not a man

  • fuck you man

  • effected by this horrible and trumatic occurence in nature "idoits" or "stupid" just factor in all of that stuff...thank you(:

  • Alright... Ill factor in the one thing that counts in a natural situation... years of instinct and commen sense... If they still walk towards something like that.. or sit there... Then they don't have it... then they are idiots.

  • Wow. this is directed to all of you who think its funny to say that these people who were KILLED by this devestating tsunami are stupid. Some of these people (the people you are all calling idiots) aren't getting a good education or are not educated like the people in the U.S. are. Even some people in the U.S are not properly educated because either they didn't pay attention during science class or their teacher did not teach them right. So before you go around calling these innocent people who

  • fucking idiots, i was like 8 when i learned when water recedes, run like hell!

  • was that a war ship that was in it?

  • Stuupid People!

You dont go out and play in a fcking Tsunami!

Your instincts should tell you that something is wrong, when the water starts to act like that! When Nature does something you are not used to, you should be awere anyway!
