  • my favorite is the bass player

  • one of the few bands today that don't use auto tune.

    XD.

    i Love this band!

  • wow this band always hits me at the core, lyrically and musically, its a perfect match that creates a intense feeling.

  • He reminds me of Ian curtis

  • first mewithoutyou song i ever heard... ah, the memories (:

  • look up dangerous business since 1979 by the Legion of Doom

  • im here because of the legion of doom

  • Why does anyone care what religion they follow? It's music. That's all.

  • @TheShakrah That couldn't have been said better.

  • This song is awesome.

  • Look guys,

The song is great, the lyrics are particularly awesome and well done. The whole getup with the outfits and such is sorta ehhh. I understand budget issues in a music video but the video and the whole fairy dancing with costumes thing really doesn't help your case. In this case, I would prefer to listen to the song and not watch the video at all.

  • The Legion of Doom did a great mix between

this song and Dangerous buisness by Underoath.

    I love all 3 bands.

  • @LitttleJane DUDE I LOVE that song.

  • I just heard this song yesterday and ever since then its been implanted in my head like a sickness xD

    Fucking. Love. This. Song

  • If this isn't experimental, I don't know what is

  • This band might not suck so much if they stuck to instrumental music.

  • @gnarr2 You might not suck so much if you shut up.

  • @gnarr2 LOL everyone hates you! you suck

  • hmm i wonder where the band La Disupute gets there sound from hmmmmm

  • @BeeTatty And Touche Amore for that matter.

  • @Renegade66666 yeah

  • Great song. This band reminds me of emo but also stuff like Suicidal Tendencies and King Missile mixed.. anyone disagree? Maybe At the drive in as well.

  • @MrRuigni

dont disrespect at the drive in like that.

  • @cerpinvismund LOL there is somewhat a similarity though even if not all the way. I only threw them in as a mention too, I didnt say something like Oh, this sounds 100% like ATDI now did I?

  • hahaha the outfits.

    priceless.

  • Aaron Weiss is some sort of god. Amazing vocalist. Sings with more passion than anybody I've ever heard.

  • are they christian?

  • @Jesusrocks84 yeah

  • @MetalcoreChristian77

Actually, they grew up in a jewish family, but they use Chaist, Jewish, and Islamic views in their songs. Mostly Christian, But you know. :D

  • @KrazyKat09 i don't even listen to them so it really doesn't even matter to me =)

  • @Jesusrocks84

Yes...for the most part...Aaron is a definite christian and is on fire for Christ...

I'm sure the other band members are as well, but i know a few of them are muslims..

  • Aaron is the best dancer I've ever seen... no argument

  • I like Catch For Us The Foxes as much as Brother, Sister.

  • one of there best songs

  • This song contains some of the best lyrics ever written.

  • big fan for a while now and just seen em last week or so in LA at the music box and the whole set was Wow.. if new to them listen to The Ghost,Tie Me Up! Untie Me!,Seven Sisters,Nice & Blue Pt. 2,Gentlemen,Cattail Down,Carousels just a couple

  • at the drive in is that you ?

  • @lookingatcrap 8====D for free......mWy is in a whole other level AtDi are bad ass but no MeWithoutYou

  • @lookingatcrap atdi came first

  • best song

  • I remember seeing them open for another band 4 or 5 years ago and they played this song first. In the beginning I was like, "damn, whats up with their equipment", 30 seconds later........amazed. Never looked back since.

  • i cant wait to see them in atlanta this month

  • @freedomband91 what the heck their still playin???

  • @yayyay92 they did tonight!

  • like, what is up with that lead singer dude???? he's so.....wierd....

  • These guys sound like At The Drive-in from about 10 years ago. Meh

  • hey he doesn't have expletives on her clothing

  • I just can't get over this band. If there's one thing I can thank my ex boyfriend for, it's putting MeWithoutYou on my ipod <3

  • this has to be the most musically talented band i've ever heard!

  • Legion of doom made me love this song :D

  • @DarkLinkOfHyrule Did he...did he hurt you? Goodness! Where did he touch you?!

  • @ZinfinityX *points to armpit*

  • @DarkLinkOfHyrule gasps* shock sets over the courtroom

  • WOW! Haley Williams fave band. I was expecting a really gay whiny band. BUT THIS IS AMAZING!

  • so original, so passionate

  • yea i listened to that the fox the crow and the cookie song i really like it =] they're a super interesting band i'm glad i found em =]

  • @xkickit17 now listen to silencer......those are my top three, though im new to this band; 01/1979, fox crow cookie, and silencer.

  • i know this band, their awesome

  • What's the different between "January 1979" and "Dangorous Business since 1979"?

  • Dangerous Business Since 1979 is a mashup of an Underoath song and this MewithoutYou song created by Legion of Doom.

  • @PercyChase Its mixed between 'It's dangerous business walking out your front door - underoath' and this song

  • @PercyChase

"Dangorous Business since 1979" is a mash up between January 1979 and It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door (by Underoath)

  • i love this song<333

  • do these guys consider their work to be art or are they doing this just to play music? im not making fun of them or anything im just wondering, to me this sounds like art.

  • Art. They get really weird on their new stuff. It sounds like they are losing their minds.

  • Honestly their new stuff sounds a bit too happy <.<.

  • Catch For Us The Foxes is probably one of the top 2 albums of the 2000's. That and Thrice's "Vheissu"

  • lol

  • I am also non Christian. I saw MeWithoutYou a few years ago and was so amazed. Never thought a band could have so much passion. So refreshing and beautiful to see a band who actually FEELS their music. They make beautiful music and I love them so!

  • k i'm pretty open to music and i'm not saying this in a bad way but..they kinda sound like too much emotion, not enough musicianship?? at least vocally..i like the instrumentals..really do love the lyrics tho i'm just now finding thisband so i don't really have a full appreciation for them, i'm just kinda looking at their different songs but is there any where the singer is more musical rather than passionate?? just curious =]

  • The fox, the crow, and the cookie.

  • C-minor and In a Market Dimly Lit from their 2006 album Brother, Sister and also Orange Spider, Yellow Spider, Brownish Spider are also fun short songs where Aaron doesn't Yell as much. If you want no Yelling then their newest album It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All A Dream! It's Alright, has none. Enjoy Mewithoutyou! I wish it was all fresh to me. My favorite band ever.

  • That comment was directed towards xkickit17

  • I wish they were still like this, there new stuff is just too hard for this atheist. The metaphor, allegory, and poetry is gone. Everything that made them so great was traded and now they just sound like a generic indie christian band

  • Their latest was "It's All Crazy!", right? I'd say that one was pretty nice

  • its a decent album, but they basically took out or turned way down all the stuff I liked about them.

  • @Flatliner0452

Well, at least the Fox, the Crow and the Cookie is a top 10 mewithoutyou song

  • Can't get enough of this song. Album is awesome also.

  • i love how they can be so serious and yet at the same time be completely ridiculous. it is such a healthy balance. this video is a good example of that

  • i want another brother, sister

  • I still wish for another "catch for us the foxes."

  • @mrchrissimpson yeah i know what you mean.

  • @IsaacGolle thats more of a yell

  • the drums in this song are amazing

  • the two songs combines sounds rubbish, but dangerous business since 1979 is better combineed

  • No I can't find it. It was so good to, so powerful. Take the song from 2:50 and then picture the drums coming in real halftime heavy feel at 3:03, then the band just jamming that for a while. I think I remember Aaron just lying on the floor lol...

  • Was it on youtube? or dailymotion?

  • lol look its jason lee from my name is earl jk

  • Try Joy Division.

  • They are great.

    Especially their song Disorder.

  • They sound horrible...yet they are still awesome. How does that make sense? *can't stop listening*

  • the style of their music reminds me of placebo....anyone here agree? i think so.

  • I would say that it sounds like they were influenced by the pixies if anything.

  • does anyone know if their is any footage of them just jamming the ending, like with drums and all? I remember seeing it somewhere but I can't find it...

  • you ever find it?

  • i love this song this shit is soooo awesome i love the mix with underoath! sooo hott!!

  • sounds like this was a major Killers influence.

  • @shayfox13 OMG SOOOO exactly i feel the same way omg

  • mewithoutYou influencing the killers? lol what killers music sounds like this? I'm interested in what songs sound similar.

  • @yrureadingthisname As in the monotone singing style.

  • this song is amazing too bad there musical style has changed. :(

  • wow i love this song like none other

  • I love this band, Gosh, so creative, awesomeness!

  • I love them so much.

Their music literally changed my life.

  • what kind of music is this considered?

  • the best kind.

  • Comment removed

  • Progressive Rock.

They actually sound very similar to fear before.

  • i agree, they sound a lot like fear before, my favorite band. :D

  • more like fear before sounds like them

  • @yourfriendblake Neither of them sound like eachother. In fact, fear before and mewithoutyou sound like themselves and only themselves...

  • are you deaf?

  • Post-Hardcore.

  • Not just trying to make them sound even cooler than they already are, but there's so much different stuff put into it to mold their sound.

That post-hardcore kind of thing with Aaron's spoken word and a kind of 90's emo-indie (Get Up Kids, Promise Ring, etc.) kind of thing going on with the guitar. And then there's so much folk influence present.

    It's just them, I guess.

  • great music ; )

  • Indie

  • my favorite part starts at 0:20 : ) my day is complete

  • :) my life's a cup of sugar I borrowed before time began and forgot to return!

  • Damn genius! Sounds so good.

  • and reply what do you think :P

  • This is so awsome band. They have like own style and group of music. Damn nice song and band, all of theyr songs are awsome :)

Lyrics are also great, i dont really care about religion is this christian, satanic or whatever( i think it's cristian), just music is good and religion doest matter for me :) mewithoutYou ftw!

  • come to think of it this song is actualy isanely amazing

  • 0:21 is such a legit shot haha

  • The word christianity is thrown around as much as the word love is... Aaron Weiss is a follower of God. there is no category for that. Just obey and love and do whats right and thats all you need to do, the rest is up to God

  • Think this is great? Look up Dangerous Buisness since 1979 very very nice!.

  • oh man legion of doom remix with underoath and this!

    epic as fuck

  • its the fisrt time i hear this song and i just cant stop hearing it over and over again...

  • true true its one of their best, really dark and intense

  • :/ were can i download this song? it's the best i have ever herd<3

  • limewire son!

  • buy it. keep bands like this fed.

  • lol, this a christain band!

  • omg guyz i herd dey r a buddhist band cos they sing about stoofs and it has to do with other stuffz. I liak bands thet r same relegin as meh cos other bandz r stoopiddd.

  • zmgo ddue i tihkn u worte eveyrtihgn wormg hree

  • I think the song, 'A Stick, A carrot, and String' makes it pretty clear they're christian

  • If your name references the Pixies you should know that a band likes to try out different styles every once in a while.

  • Hey, Idiot, I apologize if a band wants to vary their style a little bit. I guess not everyone wants to sing the same exact song over and over again like Rise against. Brother Sister was a work of art obviously they were not going to top that so they went in another direction I respect that.

  • Either way the new cd is awful.

  • Their are followers of Christianity but they are not a Christian rock band. Like Flyleaf.

  • Actually i saw an interview when aaron says they are not christian. I believe they follow islam or something im not positive the religion but he said they are not christian.

  • aaron wiess talks about God and how much he wants to serve God with his music and how he came to that realization in an interview. i never heard them say they weren't christian in an interview, i've always heard the extreme opposite

  • believing in god doesnt make you a christian..... ill find the vid one sec

  • or because almost 95% religions believe in a higher being or god haha

  • couldnt find the video but the wiki has quotes from the interview. --The Weiss brothers are of Jewish descent and their songs explore Judeo-Christian themes. The Weiss brothers were also raised in a Sufi household—their mother had converted from the Episcopal church, and their father from Judaism.[3] Due to the Christian themes of Aaron Weiss' lyrics, they have been categorized as a Christian band, although in interview, A. Weiss has stated he doesn't think they are a Christian band.

  • Aaron does say he very specifically believes in the in the Gospel presented in the Bible and that he holds to it. being labeled a Christian band or not, that alone satisfies what i call Christian music; mewiohoutYOU has some great messages that any Christian should hear.

  • lmao singing into a flower. that guy is my damn hero.

  • you should see them live, Aaron ties flowers to all the mic stands.

  • Wtf, this is like the 5th video I have watched of them on youtube in the last 10 minutes and in every single one there's at least 3 people going "omg they are christian!" What does it matter?

Plus they've stated they aren't a christian band. You can sing about god without being categorized as such.

  • pretty sure january 1979 is when Aaron was born....i dont know, i just have a feeling :D I love MewithoutYou so much...i hope they are announced at soundwave! that would make my life!

  • the legion of doom asks permission first

  • Comment removed

  • well thats what they do mash up and hell that make mixed up songs perfect for movies so think before you talk you have your own Opinion so heh

  • Definitly one of my favorite christian bands. I heard that Aaron (singer for those who don't know) was a high school English teacher and that was kind of what explains the reason for his poetic lyric style.

  • :O. This is the only Christian band I like.

  • wow didnt know they wre christian. that makes 2. ever heard of soulsavers? theyre good to

  • you dont know too many of them

  • yay psalters!

  • mix is pretty good but nowhere NEAR as good as the original.

    this ish so gooooood uggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • fucking amazing

  • Indeed!

  • Ennnnnggghhh... I like both of those songs, but not together. It's like a chocolate covered deep-fried pickle.

  • i was gonna use this for my skate part and then i ended up breaking my hip and not finishing it. : (
