@Hatnshoes Thank you for your question about call numbers. You can still do a call number search with BiblioCommons, just type in the call number as a keyword search (e.g. 820.71071 Read). If you want to use a wild card (e.g. 820*), go to the advanced search page and type in ca:820* in the Boolean editor at the top of the search form. This will return all items that have 820 in the call number. Hope this information helps.
This is the Stupidest thing I've ever come across why does it have to be toned down. Why if I just want to check when my stuff is due do I have to agree to terms and conditions? Where is the card catalog for the person that knows what there doing?
@doctorhungyman Thank you for your comment. The Terms of Use are a way for us to explain how your information is used and protected on this service. This service manages information that belongs to a lot people, including you. The Terms of Use also outlines some community standards that users are expected to uphold when they use the service. There are other points covered as well, which we have tried to organize under headings to make them easy to find.
@doctorhungyman We hope you'll find with time that the new search interface provides many more features and possibilities that allow both greater precision in matching, better relevance in ordering results, and easier filtering by very specific criteria. If you have ideas for improvement, please let us know. When you are signed-in, you will see a feedback form at the bottom of every page. Why can you not search by call number (for a specific subject).
