A kernel panic is basically an error message in the system such as a BSOD. They basically mean nothing but if they happen repetitively and do not appear to stop then you should bring it back to the Apple Store. :) Hope this helped!

Macs DON'T crash if you use them correctly. If you install something incorrectly, it's going to give you an error. Same with Windows (except it happens a lot more for me on Windows).

Yes it does happen more on windows.. But You have to remember that windows supports alot more hardware and software than Macs do, also more software is made for the windows PC than for mac. So naturally yes.. more errors..among other things.

thats true XP is better now that it was when it came out. Microsoft is doing a lot more to fix errors, they have an auto-update feature available which logs all the errors and automatically sends them to Microsoft. and by the next update usually all the errors are fixed. Most people don't understand that ALL computers have errors and need to be properly taken care of. Its a normal part of any use of Any computer to keep updated.
