  • They're touch-me-nots. Don't mix up with BOKseunghwa which means peach.

  • Simon are gay?

  • It looks kinda ugly :/

  • Its like the singaporean henna?

  • I WILL NOT FULLFILL YOUR GOTH FANTASIES! :)

  • Boksunghwa is peach.

  • it is hard to belief that martina used to be gothy stylish back when she and simon met.

  • Forget me not?

  • Black nailpolish is manly, my brother prooved that years ago!

  • I use this alot^^

  • Touch Me Not made me think of Forget Me Not but I don't know.

  • Nice Sir Digby Chicken Caesar reference! :)

  • I WILL NOT FULFILL YOUR GOTH FANTASIES.

  • Hey Simon & Martina! I would like to share with you.

I'm a Malaysian and girls use henna not only for our nails but on our hands & palms for weddings. We would draw beautiful designs like flowers. It usually lasts about a month or so, depends on the brand of henna you're using.

Schools aren't strict about it because it's a tradition.

  • @auauawuu yes in malaysia we call it inai

  • Martina, you're actually right the first time. It's Touch-Me-Not.

  • can you dye your hair with that? LOL

  • *whispers*I have goth fantasies too*whispers*

  • hehe yes hong gi gets his nail done once a week

  • Omg! This is probably the only thing ive heard of before!

  • It's not Bonarama Simon! It's Bonamana! Get your facts right xD

  • Where do you guys live?! KOREA?

  • dude i think that is henna.. when u put henna on ur nails and wash it off after 30 minutes, u'll get the same results!

  • WOW Disappointing that you guys don't know the story/belief behind it.... Girls do it at the end of the summer and the story says that if stays/doesn't grow out completely until the first snowfall you will find your one true love! lol is silly but cute

  • :D Finally, nail color that won't chip~

  • hong ki xD

  • peach

  • Hongki <3

  • Oh! I had a friend from Korea who always came to school like that durind the spring and the teachers always punished her and stuff, but they let her use it after she told the story and all that.

  • is it touch-me-not??? just a thought :D

  • You should become hand models. hahah

    I'm not entirely joking.

  • haha its not stainer. it is henna. my language called it inai. significant with people getting married. can use it on ur hair too. make ur hair a little reddish. for those who dont dye using chemical, artificial dye due to religious reasons. :D

  • @nabradcliffe malaysia :)

  • @21thebestgirl 1Malaysia. haha

  • Actually, there is a myth that when the polish remains after the first snow, you can make up with your first love!

  • I used to live in korea more than ten years ago before i moved to the u.s., and i dyed my nails with the actual plants-i cant believe its in a package now!! This is so weird... i gotta tell my mom about this..

  • The flower is actually called Bong Soong Ah. (I know, it sounds so close to "Bok Soong Ah" which means "peach," but it's not) Bongseonhwa, like how you spelled it in the title of the video, is actually a different flower.

  • @AiM4theHEART59 hi can you tell me Wich episode ?

  • I honestly want those XDD

  • ooh and i think those nail stainers are called henna in Malaysia & Singapore (as far as i know)... they smell weird and the colour is the same too!! :)

  • the name of the plant is "touch me not" or simply "mimosa" :D

  • Hongki's nail polish is epic. He has like one nail with a skull xD skullhong!

  • plus if u left longer like overnight like I did it would be really red e_e i prefer orange.

  • Rotten oranges smell nice!! my school makes like sort of fertilizer out of it lol

  • Stay positive you two! And Simon, the paste looks like chocolate, not poo!:)

  • well in my country we just henna to dye our nail like so :P

  • ahahaha omg i remember seeing song jihyo trying to do it on haha in running man (cept it was the wrong plant or something ahahahha)

  • lol my grandma used to do this to me a lot

  • 복숭아 is peach!!!!!!!!!!<3<3<3

  • So I'm Korean and my mom told me that you dye ur fingernails with dat in spring and if the colour stays till the first day of snow, ur first love will come true! ;)

  • this is not henna right??? im malaysian and i think henna same with 'inai' here...hahaha wanna try it!!!

  • in turkey its called "kına" and its traditionally used at your wedding :D... but you can dye your nails with it as well as your Hair ^^ there are different colours not just orange

  • According to my 유치원 teacher..."이것을 봄에 하고, 첫눈 까지 복숭아가 물에들으면, 첫사랑이온데"

Basically she said if that flower dye last until the first day of snow, u will find ur first love-3

  • There are "forget me nots" so why not "touch me nots"...

  • they did this before didnt they?

  • It's called INAI in Malaysia and peoples wear it on their wedding day :D

  • @thisishh YEAH!!! i'm wearing it now.. just for fun XD

  • hunky hongki <3 <3 lol

  • It's not coming off.. You dyed it. It's not like a polish. You have to wait till the nail grows out for the color to go away.

  • omg,, haha, lee hyori did it on family outing to these guys toes. :L !

  • Its touch me not. Lmao simon-.-"

  • i love hongki~ xD a new trend will start when all the guys start wearing nail art and hongki will be like yah i started that~ XD <3

  • it is henna. lmao. actually in malaysia, it's a tradition to put it on for your wedding day. yes, that includes the groom. so when you see a dude wearing orange dyed fingers (lmao at the chain smoking comment. our culture actually finds it pretty. hoho^^) it means they just gor married. haha. in malay, it's called inai and instead of crushing the flowers, we crush the leaves and wrap it around our fingers with plasticwrap. hehe. just a little FYI. i thought you guys'd find interesting.

  • I used that stuff once to piss off my teachers as it was a no nail polish allowed policy....and they told me to take it off but i said it cant be taken off u have to wait till it grows out xD

  • looks like poo :I and tbh orange and brown rarely ever look good on nails...

  • is it from the plant call balsam ? cos heard that before from my friend.

  • i used to do this when i was in shigol.. :(

  • I used to do this when I was little. A lot of little kids do it :)

  • i liked so much this color! but....permanent? mmmm xD

  • my friend has the orange dye on her nails... SO THTS WAT SHE USEDDD..

  • Hongki :3 YAY

Guys you both [sorry, three of you] are so awesome~!! ^-^

  • Hongki = ♥

  • Omg we have these kinds of stuff too except it's not used as a nail polish it's kinda used as a tatoo where like they draw patterns on our arms and the effects are the same

  • It's Henna ! When you do the henna your nails gets orange ..

  • @Hala16SHINee it's not Henna, god damn.

  • @FrannyandHammy

It's Henna , God damn . The plant is the same , but Koreans call it Bongseonhwa , It's not like our Henna in Morocco but another sort of Henna , I'm an Arab so i know better than you :)

  • does anyone know where i can buy this online?

  • park bom! new season of 2ne1 tv haha, i JUST watched that ep =D and also, it's in a millionaire's first love =D

  • I think the english name for the plant is Balsam :)

  • don't malay use this kind of nailpolish?

  • @KikwangBabe yupp :)

it's called 'inai', infact, it's usually used when someone's getting married

  • Whos the winner?where do i see?

  • where can i get that? i want to get some for my little sisterr she loves all types of nail polish

  • SO teachers can't wear nailpolish???

  • I actually grow the plants for the nail dye outside in my garden! But my puppy hates them because the plant has a defence mechanism, so when you touch the petals, it shoots sheets at you. Just thought you'd like to know :)

  • i think i kno about this thing ...v call it mehndi here in pakistan ... but i dont think that nail stainer is made out of the same plants as mehndi ... mehndi also stain ur nails but it comes off aftr just one week...mostly v use it to draw temporary tattoos on our hands n feet ...here's an example.but im not sure if mehndi is the same thing as nail stainer but it did reminded me of mehndi wen i saw ur video all u hv to do is to draw sm design on ur hand with it n wen it dries u just wash it!

  • I used to do this when I was young. I AM GOING BACK TO KOREA NEXT YEAR! :) OUT OF STATES FOR GOOD.

  • Oh I know that. When spring comes, they would dye their nails with that plant and the elder ones say that before that washes out you will find true love. LMAO. but that's just not true. XD XD

  • @VICKYvsVICKY kkangpe in schools? more like iljin or nallari. there are otaku groups as well. But I don't think in Korea the groups are that obvious as they are in the US.

  • Bongseonhwa is peach,

  • @MrMcYellow no. BONGSOONG-AH is a peach. HWA means flower in Korean btw

  • @tokee1234567 never said it was henna, if u read my comment I said it was pretty much the same thing except used with different plants..:D

  • Simon you've seen that???? Pervert xD I admit it it's totally disgusting...

  • It reminds me of the girl in 'A millionaire's first love', who dyed her nails with sunflower oil

  • okay so this is totally th korean version of henna. i love using henna cos i think it's nice..well it's a cultural thing:) since i dont use nail polish, i dont care having the dye for months ^^

  • its called henna. u have it in powder ooh awesome. mine comes liquidish already

  • @pikakiko the plant is different and it's not called henna. in different areas of Asia (esp since Korea has 4 distinct seasons unlike some South Asian countries) different plants grow

  • it is just like inai(in malaysia) usually malaysian(especially someone who are getting married) will dyed it (just like u said) dyed it whole like finger. it is not whole finger but around the nail. if u wrap it overnight. it will become more pretty.^^

  • In Malaysia, they called it 'Inai'. In Malay culture, both groom and bride decorate their nails with 'Inai'. The bride will have all 10 fingers dyed, while the groom usually will have 3 fingers dyed. I think it's pretty. :)

  • If I have this...i will probably wear it to school. If principal catch me...i will say in cool-y... no this is not nail polish , this is nail dying!DYING! AHAHAHAHHA

  • Do you know where i can get this from??

  • @simonandmartina :hmm.. i think you mentioned the movie in your blog.....oh well still thank you!!!

  • Back when I lived in Indonesia when I was like 6 they had (probably) the same kind of flower that girls used for their nails o_o It was called like Pacar Kuku or something, and the girls in my neighborhoods all dyed their nails using the crushed petals of that flower cause most people hated nail polish o_o

  • it looks like henna. lol simon, you know in malay culture, both bride and groom have to decorate their hands with henna for the wedding day. millions of men in malaysia understand how u feel :P

  • isn't this henna?! , because my aunt use henna to polish her nails all the time and it has the same color !! XD

  • WHAT THE HECK! woa thats so creepy. my friend just came back from korea a couple weeks ago and i saw her today. she had her nails died like bright orange and she told me its some plant dye thing. i come home and go to youtube and see this O.O lol is that just a coincidence?

  • I SAW THIS ON FAMILY OUTING.

  • I think i saw this type of plant/ way of colouring the nails in Millionaire's first love

  • @bl333ify You're right, I saw it in the movie too. HAHA : )

  • @LeeChaeHee: WOW :o

  • i think the plant is in malaysia and india too... in malay we call it "inai".. usually we wear it when the bride is getting married...

BTW>.. simon and martina ftw.. love u guys

  • i know all about henna cause i watched every you tube vid on it but no one has used it as a nail polish, although its the same stain color, hip hip korean again!

  • @JaHyeon86 it's not henna. it's a flower where you crush only the petals to use -"impatiens/touch-me not/ bongseonhwa"

  • yup exact same thing as henna but obviously used with korean plants instead of indian, which henna has become so well known, us koreans were smart enough to promote it as a nail dye:) Hip Hip- Korea!

  • here in Malaysia , we used that for Marriage ceremony ! For bride ~` we called them inai .

  • My grandma hasn't done these for me since I was like 8.

  • "Touch me not" impatiens are indeed more like Henna than nail polish.

It's a popular summer trend among young kids, especially girls, in Korea.

  • i feel for you simon.. my nails were stained orange after trying a new red nail polish v.v ill have to wait and grow them out D:

  • i wish i had this i hate nail polish i cant even paint my nails i get impatient and i take off the paint this would be good in california

  • You could have just painted a toenail...then you wouldn't have had to look at it!

  • How come Spudgy is made to look like Che Guevara? He was one of the biggest supporters of communism... so, what's up with that?

  • I've done this before when I was younger with my mom! It made my nails orange, and I personally didn't like it very much- especially since it lasted for so long!

  • thumbs up please!!

BOM (2NE1) USE TO DO THIS. SHE'D TAKE PLANTS AND RAP THEM AROUND HER FINGER NAIL, AND ALUMINUM FOIL AND SHE'D SLEEP WITH IT, THEN WAKE UP AND FIND HER NAILS POLISHED. WATCH THE NEW SEASON ON 2NE1 TV.

  • THANK YOUR FOR THE NEW ENGLISH WORDS THAT I NEVER HEARD BEFORE!! LIKE" DIGRESS" HAHAH

  • thats a beautiful korean folk tale

  • 2 canadians, 1 cup

  • That's so cool! My mom uses henna to stain her fingers (they say its good for your health or something) and it looks exactly like this bongsoongah stain!

  • its like HENNA ;)

  • ahh bommie uses this!! LOL she said she would wrap it around her finger and leave it over night ahha :D

  • Simon with the Penn Jillette style, awesome:D

  • it is so much like Henna O.O

  • why is nail polish banned from your school martina???

  • @swtbabi34747 possibly the same reason we cant dye our hair, wear earings in school etc :c

  • 봉선화는 복숭아 나무에 피는 꽃이 아닙니다.

    봉선화라는 풀이 있습니다.

  • they did this in "a millionaire's first love"!!!! ahh i love that movie!! xD

  • We have these similar things in Malaysia and a lot of people wear it on special occasions like Hari Raya or in for their wedding. Men also wear it here but most of them only do it for their wedding.Plus, they add these floral pattern in the palms too. So yeah, no big deal for us.

  • it looks good on you simon:D i suppose this comes in only the orange/brownish color or other colors as well?

  • Hi that is so cool! Does anyone know where we can get that in America? My sister and I both work where we can't have painted nails, but we could use this.

  • @MYNAMEISNOTMONKEY ohh lol I should have known :p I just started watching their videos so I guess I missed that joke~ ty :)

  • oh my god! I just saw a lady who had this today in the subway!

  • this reminds me of "a millionaire's first love", when lee yeon hee's character dyed her nails x]

  • In my country in Nigeria, we have a plant that one can use its leaves to dye fingernails too. It also comes out a pumpkin/carrot color. It's not a tree though, it's a flowering plant. I have forgotten the name. Anyway, during Ramadan, some muslim girls use it instead of henna to decorate their hands, palms and soles of the feet.

  • i wanna try that, lmao

  • martina...y u no know bonamana? ;; i mean, bonermana? ;;

  • It's called Bongseonhwa, or Bongsoongah, NOT Boksoongah (a peach). During spring/summer time, you take the flowers and leaves from the tree, crush them with a little bit of salt (to help dying it darker), put it on your fingernails, wrap them with plastic wrap, and leave them overnight. You can paint the fingertip area around the nails with clear nailpolish before to avoid dying your whole fingertips orange. In Korean myth, if your nail dye lasts until the first snow, your love will come true.

  • the plant name's just peach, LOL

  • SIMON HAS REALLY FEMININE HANDS...

  • yuhuuu Lee Hong Ki!! I'm one proud prima donna ^^

  • the nail stains remind me of the movie "Millionaire's first love.".. :)

  • This is 'henna'/'mendhi' is south asia. We use it to dye our nails/make intricate patterns on our skin. :-)
