Too bad you can't feel the heat, the sweat, the pain, the blood above all the gnawing and constant fear you're going to fuck up and get somebody else killed. Every dead gook was a relief that something good was happening, otherwise, you never new until years later that we were slaughtering the fuck out of them. I preferred the Huey over the CrashHawk for the simple reason that the Huey had a landing skid you could get out and stand on prior to rapelleing. The CrashHawk has a big freaking wheel you will KISS if you aren't careful exitting the bird.

my dad served in the 198th infantry under the 23rd infantry for a while,did 3 tours 67-70...and like he always tells me the media only showed the bad of the war and only did so to get their ratings and stories for their pay checks...the soldiers won vietnam,the government and crooked leaders in power and the media made it a loss...my dad said he would do it all over again if he ever had the chance to.
