What you are watching IS the race. If you can do the training the race is not that hard. Signed up for Brazil Ironman 2012 27th May. Training has begun.
this is true, training is a huge factor, i trained for two years cuz i know that's when i'll truly be ready, my body has adjusted to all weather climates and various factors that to a non trained athlete would render muscles useless. :) love triathlons!
you dont need to be nuts, you just need to prepare and take baby steps, to your goals, start on sprint distances go to olympic tris, and halfs and then the ironman distance, put on the miles and the dream will become reality, very simple....
I love the "non-look-look" when she asks if anyone's ever told him he's nuts...around the 42 second mark...classic...great short video for a glimpse into the dedication required for such a challenge...truly a life challenge...cheers!
@SophistAtheist Did you ever think that I wasn't thinking about the people that don't compete in the Iron Man Triathlon ohh maybe because I'm commenting on a video about the Iron Man, and not about people that should be respected for whatever their achievements are and may be...
You're not crazy, you're just dedicated.

I'd like to go the gym and exercise, but I can't find a way to balance an ashtray on the Stairmaster.

Just a 1 min or so long video and you still get a sense of the hours of training you did. Great video. Hope you did well.

Anyone who will compete in the Ironman world championship is completely nuts. And for that I respect them.

@jrg5683 , so if you meet someone who hasnt done an ironman, you'll be unkind, mean an asshole towards him or her ?. Think before u type kiddo.

@jrg5683 The Race is easy. It is all the training that is hard. Well, that's the way it should go, anyway.
