@OpForza you do the downforward motion first before heavy kick, after pressing heavy kick quickly do another down forward and press any punch buttons. Downforward = Down right or vice versa

TO ALL WHO HAVE TROUBLE WITH #3 HARD TRIAL:

1. Timing between s. lk and c. lp must be LINK (e.g, pause a bit). It's a very easy link. You can tell that you got your timing right if you can super jump after the c. lp.

2. There is a "cheat"-way to do superjump-ultra, and it goes like this:

Press down and press LP and turn the stick 450 degrees counter-clockwise. A whole turn and then a qcf. Do this in a fast, single motion, and you will hit a c.lp into ultra EVERY time.

for 2:25 use heavy burning kick, it'll become your bread and butter so get that particular trial down well.

you can do it from midscreen but can (90% of the time) only get the ultra off in the corner after that combo

for the EX Seismic, Super Jump into Burning Kick, I cornered Dan and used the medium Burning kick. for me it wasn't the timing of the move but just not throwing a stupid kick. i can do the move on command in any other situation much easier. i just ended up quickly flicking the motion like i was in a fireball battle with the shotos.

I actually think trial 3 is very useful and my personal favorite. I've landed it a lot of times in the arcades and online. Your opponent wouldn't know when the ultra is coming. Pretty unexpected.

nope third is hard but by god 5th is a bitch. you can get the hits but it wont register. capcom sure was fucking us over with viper's trail. in her 4th trail i get all the hits but the burning kick doesn't register. only god knows why, ppl say i just too high but wtf does it matter how high i am as long as it hit and its still a combo thats what should matters.

It 'doesn't register' because you're supposed to do the Burning Kick so fast that it will be counted as a normal / ground Burning Kick even if it's connected to a High Jump.

man, that one was hard. I set my controller for X to be hard punch and Y to be triple punch *on xbox controller* and i could easily do the cancel when i do a quarter circle back i slide my fingers across X and Y for hard punch then triple punch to cancel it then quickly down forward down forward Y for triple again.

That's at least what worked for me.. but it did take me a while.

Do the Seismic Hammer motion and quickly follow it up with two punch-buttons to cancel it.

What I do is just press the button with all three punches because it includes the two punches required for the cancel. :)

I just did the hard Trial #3 pulled it off.

What i did was just pretend the high jump part isn't there and hold down light punch then down forward down forward up triple punch. when you do that it, the up registers the super jump in there because your doing a half circle from down to up and it registers the last part of the ultra.

so jump kick kick press down then light punch then forward down forward UP triple punch.

Be sure to use the light kick when you are doing the aerial burning kick so you hit the guy in the front.

Were you using a fight stick or controller? I can't connect the high jump to the burning kick for the life of me. It always releases right above Dan's head. Did you roll your stick any way or did you just press down up for a straight high jump? Any tips would be greatly appreciated..

To tell you the truth, I really don't remember what I did exactly. It kinda just happened, and I used a controller. For the high jump, I did it diagonally, and as soon as I jumped, I immediately did the burning kick motion, but my memory's hazy.

1. Do the EX Seismic Punch

2. Roll all the way from Back Crouch all the way to Up Forward, all in one fast motion.

I can't get the [Focus Attack, EX-Thunder Knuckle, Ultra] down (Normal Trial 4, 4th combo). After I focus attack, dashcancel, and Ex Thunderknuckle, Dan keeps falling on his back, while in the trialmode movies on youtube (including the eventhubs one) he just drops down on his knee's.

Because of him falling on his back instead of trough his knees, the ultra doesn't connect.

Any suggestions ?

doesn't help. in order to hit the ultra Dan cant be flying back he has to be crumpling to the ground. I can't figure this out either. I can get him to crumple if I'm standing a little ways back when I do the knuckle but I can't achieve this same distance after dash canceling the focus attack.

u gotta hit deep in ur jump so maybe HK when u reach about.... shoulder height then quickly burning kick. maybe try holding down while ur in the air then HK then back + HK again to pull of the burning kick quickly.

Actually Grayfox82 i just did it using stick. Do exactly what it tells you. After inputting the high jump input the special as fast as you can and after 5 to 10 min. you should get it

the trick is just to input the commands before the first kick ends. Trying it with a controller IS frustrating as hell though, but for some reason it comes out a lot easier with a stick.

I've been able to do it by inputing the command for emergency combination, but instead of hitting punch I hit hard kick then punch and the combo works. HOWEVER, the actual trial doesn't registor it. I've yet to do it and have the game register it. Which is lame.

Actually what you described worked for me with one addition--the game didn't register the heavy kick unless it didn't happen as part of the double fireball motion. So I did the double fireball, went to neutral, then hit kick and then punch...see if that works for you.
