While people shouldn't lose sight of or back off from Obama's catastrophic policies, I can't agree that the birth/citizenship issue is stupid or a trifle. It's certainly dumb to focus one's energy exclusively on that issue, but if it were revealed that Obama isn't eligible to be President, it would definitely be a huge blow to him, his administration, and the Democratic Party. And the harder it is for that horde to pass legislation and further their agenda, the better!

I saw the picture of the document that is a birth certificate from Kenya. However, I remember it took an act of congress to recognize that Barack Obama was from the US. Now my only question on the matter is, why would they need it if it was such a closed case. The Kenyan birth certificate also indicates that Barack Obama the second as the child on the certificate, meaning his father would be Barack Obama the first.

It's about a potential constituional crisis. Also the UK has an increadible rate of hospital based infections that is unknown in the US. You do not have a right to health care. The US had the highest survivor rate in the world with over sixty six percent for men and sixty two percent for women. Got cancer? Go to the US. Note: Australia was not included in that survey. If the Republican Party adopted a political policy resembling that of Mussolini or Stalin, it's members would eventually support it because they're more concerned about their party than their policy. It's that eternal faith in leadership that you mentioned. They'll believe in their president and they'll believe in their party no matter what the policy of either leader is. In my experience the people who say x and say y are usually fictional characters. I think a lot of the reason people think they can play gotcha with people from the other party is because they think everyone from that party has to believe something that someone, perhaps a party leader or TV pundit said. TV pundits talk as though they all have a constituency of dittoheads, maybe they do, but its never everybody in a party, nor even all voters or all watchers. I like SA because he criticizes both.

By law in that circumstance legal resident of the father's state of record, & delivered by naval medical personnel. Last time I looked..he has never been president, either. I am not an Obama supporter and I would like to see him just go away. That said both Honolulu papers printed the birth announcement for Obama back in 61. I would like nothing more than for him to be found to be an unConstitutional president and have him kicked out of office, but, to my chagrin, he appears to be legal.

Newspaper articles are not the same as a real state document. However, the papers and media in general back then were actually doing their job. So I don't really know if he's legal, but I would really like to see his birth cert. and college papers.

While potentially lying about where you were born in order win political office is illegal and quite possibly a crime against the constitution, it is not the gravest crime being committed by Obama or our leaders. While it may or may not be true that Obama was or was not born in the U.S., is there really anything that can be done about it? Bottom line, he is in office. Now we must fight his agenda, as opposed to his possible credentials.

I think it important that the Prez actually be American but there is a reason for this distraction. Both of my Senators (Specter and Casey) suck, and my Congresswoman--she voted against cap & trade, co-sponsored HR 1207(after *extensive* nagging on our parts), but she also voted to fund the wars.
This is her first term, I'm watching everything she does, so we'll see what else she does and who runs against her.
