Nine inch nails did not write this song. johnny Cash did! Now I know what your going to say. Your going to say that cash covered the song almost 10 years after it was written and that Trent wrote it, and your gonna be all like... Trent even said Cash did it better. Copy and paste the wiki. Read me the album credits. It's all one big corporate lie perpetrated by Trent Reznor's vampire lawyers. If you don't believe me, I've made a plenty compelling case with plenty of proof on my channel.
I was fortunate enough to be at this gig, was in the old Maple Leaf Gardens and the Jim Rose Circus was one of the opening acts. The entire show is still a highlight of my life and I remember a few decent bootlegs of the gig going around Toronto afterwards. Pure brilliance, and I remember the intro to Dead Souls blowing the entire crowd away.
saw 'em in dayton ohio...or somewhere close that tour..wasn't Manson on that bill also? yea I remember one of Roses guys(or himself) eat maggotts from a ziplock baggie..Your right... will always be a concert highlight in my life..in my top 3 of all time... intense as all hell
@TheThirdSober he was uffering from the heroin addiction, and after this album "the downward spiral" he kicked the addiction, but this was probably the darkest and most haunting part of Trent and NIN's career, and personally my favourite.
This was the most intense part of this show (saw them in Milwaukee). To take a thousand kids who just minutes before were thrashing their bodies to near death and leave them still and dumbfounded at the images of decay and destruction was just epic.
I remember I saw them a few weeks earlier at San Jose State Event Center in 94 on this tour. I went to most concerts during the 90's except I missed Alice in Chains but this ranks as one of the best ever above Metallica and Soundgarden and many more bands you kids will never see.
I can Only imagine how Wonderful NIN would be in Concert, Live, Feeling His Emotions Right There! I have Not had the opportunity to see Them Live yet. I'm in AZ & I can't travel alone to Cali to see Their last show. I'm Totally Bummed but This is a Great video and I wanted to Thank you for "enabling" It...seems like everyone else has disabled theirs...dickheads! Take it Easy!
I saw NIN in April 1994 at the Manchester Academy. Despite the hundreds of gigs/festivals I've been to since, that was the best.

Man, he sang it with so much more feeling and intensity back in the 90s...
When you see a compact muscle man singing this song it just isn't the same.
At least he's over whatever was bothering him, I guess.
