  • WOW....

  • Its what todays modern F1 drivers should aspire to be like.

  • Other drivers would slow down and move away so they wont ruin his pole laps deviant!

R.I.P Legend! I bet he can beat today's drivers with his eye closed!

  • He was a master on wet tracks. Rip Senna.

  • genius

  • Doesn't even lift when faced with a wall of cars on the exit of one of the greatest corners in F1. Unmatchable.

F1 greatness is only one word. Senna.

  • I wish there was an onboard video of this lap.

  • 1.47.813 lap record and -1.065......

ABSOLUTE LEGEND...R.I.P Great man and best driver ever.....

  • Oh what a magnificent sound of a F1 engine... if only they would come close to such a sound nowadays

  • i second...

  • seena rocks no dought about it

  • lol, dark sense of humour

  • increible .como paso entre medio de esos dos autos a la salida de o rouge.(perdon no se como se escribe)

  • Absolute Legend. It's rather sad how the drivers these days piss and moan when there are other cars around them whilst qualyfying and complaining about clean air and that sort of bullshit.

Here you see Senna on the limit ,cars everywhere smoke covering certain part of the track, and you don't see him loose concentration or complain afterwards. Today's drivers are a pack of pussys.

    Senna is a legend.

    R.I.P.

  • Bravo maestro !!

  • Incredible...A legend.

  • SENNA was amazing. amazing lap...any driver since would have lifted off and complained of a ruined lap from traffic inc schumacher

  • S E N N A - The Legend

  • Is this track spa?

  • yes it is

  • the honda V12 and the ferrari V12 of that era sound like the devil comes out of hell himself

  • please dont compare honda to ferrari. they both sound good but thats just an insult lol

  • que satisfacion!!

  • When that Tyrrell creates a smokescreen out of Blanchimont he doesn't even lift! Awesome.

  • Man... It's a shame that he was killed in 94. Or else I bet he would be a major team player nowadays for Honda F1 team.

I believe this is the 92 season which sadly as his and Honda's last championship winning season in 93 Mclaren came out with a new chassis and Honda went with "Fly by wire" Throttle system which nowadays is used by road cars as common as a Honda Fit/Jazz. However, I still believe it was beaten only by William's superior chassis in the FW13B (Active suspension, traction control)

  • This is 1991. 1992 was won by Nigel Mansell, with the far superior Williams' FW14B chassis that you've mentioned. Honda's V12 engine sound is unbelievable.

  • yes, u are right. I've always got mixed up with the year, and yes I remember now 93 was Mclaren with Ford HBV8 and Micheal Andretti was the second driver. 92 was the last of the Honda powered Mclaren which uses V12 and fly by wire. thanks for the correction

  • yes, it is 1991. i think the 1992 engine sounds even better, with more engine power. watch the video from Hungarian GP 1992 first lap and you will understand. those years were the golden years for sound (and not only...) 12cylinders disappeared, and 10cylinders sound was more and more synthetic, the revs were too high for sounding good, engines too perfect.

  • That V12 sounds soooooo much better than the modern, small V8 formula 1 cars of today.

Bring back the 12s! Hell, bring back the 16s!

  • THE BEST

  • dont think i ever seen senna lift through eau rouge:brilliant driver!

  • Maybe in the wet... because no matter how skilled you are, there's not enough grip there to get your a** up the hill without lifting the throttle.

  • Remembering Ralf Schumacher saying:"Simply couldn´t get any lap without traffic" lol

  • lol respect :D

  • Very nice vid. It's hard to find some without commentary. This noise is just wonderful.

  • Insane!

  • Stunning

  • What's amazing to realize is that his lap time of 1:47.813 is only a couple seconds slower than Raikkonen's 2004 lap record, yet Senna's car is some 15 years older! The intensity with which he attacked that lap is amazing. I don't think he lifted off the throttle through Eau Rouge.

  • The sound of this honda's engine is unforgettable...not like the actual 2.4 litre...

  • Thanks for sharing this!

  • The noise! The energy! The awesomeness! Senna was beautiful through the last chicane.

  • Remember, this is done with a stick shift, and clutch pedal.

  • Amazing speed, it's incredible how he maintains that demon speed thru the lap. Senna was without a doubt the greatest ever

  • you will never get better than him, im not just saying that because im a fan but that was a fantastic lap

  • I was there that week-end. What wonderful memories! Thank you so much for the lovely video!

  • Does anyone believe will some day exist a driver like Senna?? At least close to? I saddly don´t...

  • I do. He was human just like the rest of us so there is every chance.

  • Flat Eau Rouge

  • 1991

  • Great video. From what year is this?

  • 1991

  • BRING BACK V12 ENGINES TO FORMULA 1!!!

  • Senna gets pole overtaking loads of cars, then theres Alonso getting taken back 10 places becasue he was around 100 meters infront of massa. They should bring back the original 1 hour qualifying, and if someones in your way, then tough.

  • I agree, though this knockout format is better than the one-lap thing they had going.

  • people always tell you that once you get on the throttle youve got to be sure you dont need to come off it again or the car will be unsettled and you'll lose time... try telling senna that. his control on that lap is unreal in one of the most simple looking yet beautiful F1 cars ever. cant beat that v12 either. only the 94 ferrari gets close

  • Omg, bam bam bam on and off the throttle in the corners, pure Joy to watch this... Missing you Ayrton... so quick :D

  • Guys! Do not be so harsh with Fernando. He reminds of young Senna in many ways. Both of them have had huge fire burning in the inside, and are both very passionate. These drivers make F1 fascinating and not the boring, craftsmen like schumacher. They are artists, and have charisma as well, not like drivers in the last 12 years (save a few).

  • Kimi is like Senna. He don´t put his hands in the air and do some signs, he go faster and faster to prove he is the best! Kimi and Senna 4ever

  • great skill. He passed many cars in his lap, and he didn´t complain with the other drivers, he just keep pushing hard. Much different of the actual drivers, Alonso and Massa included.
