On the front of the 2008 cars it doesn't show what kind of car it is such as dodge, chevy, or toyota. they all look the same. Except for the nextel cup cars they do show what brand the car is.

Aside from GT5 .. REAL racing ( SIM )  is on PC. Consoles are generally made for kids, thus arcadey. Your not going to get a good racing game from EA anyways.

Unless your using a good wheel your not racing. I use a G25, 900 Degrees of turning, Pedals w/ clutch, and H pattern 6 speed shifter.

If your interested in great games and want to stay cheap and still get Unlimited cars and tracks get Rfactor.

lol they wonder why the sales numbers for their NASCAR games were so low for 08 and 09, this is exactly why. NASCAR 08 was definitly broke and had some outrageous flipping and airborn physics IE, barrel rolling down Martinvilles front stretch accelerating out of a turn. 09 was more sturdy but still had a lotta bugs. Its like EA never play tested these games. Its almost a good thing they're only doing bi-yearly releases for NASCAR..if that. They don't have the liscense no more (exclusive).

The Overall Control of the cars were terrible, I barely move the analog stick the the are already sliding already.I even change the sensitivity and tighten the cars it did little to non change to the COT cars ..Nascar 06 had the best overall control.

Raise Tire Pressure to as high as you can get it....run a low ride hight and little to no tire camber. Also if you can but I dont think so but adjust the spoiler to as low as you can. Also run the highest gear ratio possible. That will make you more competitive at the superspeedway. But with the tire pressure your tires will wear faster and handling will be a little tougher

EA Sports needs to give the player more control on these games during pit road and under caution for example. And make the draft more realistic if it is possible, although on the 360 version of this, I was in a pretty realistic 18 car pileup at Talledaga on lap 25 I think, and we were all still that close together.

Yes this game is SOOOO Flawed! Its froze up 3 times ONLINE today on me. I hope its just this game making it do that!!I've races offline 6 times now at Vegas with 100% turned on and get to like 160 or so laps in and everytime it just stops and says I finished 42nd or 43rd when I had NO DAMAGE no engine blow up and had the whole field one or more laps down. you mean you can't manually control the car during a yellow flag? that means you can't purposely knock a car out of action so you can pit him without being disqualified... which is what I did in NR2003 (i'll post a vid someday, showing me deforming someone else's car)

The first time you were blackflagged because when you wrecked you passed while you were under the yellow line(Listen carefully to your spotter) And the second time, since you had contact with the cars it blackflagged you again. Your spotter warns you before you do get flagged.
